How can video games be art if they keep getting censored?
daily reminder that nisa censors America because of Australia
Art as definition is defiled by idiots who think 'art' is a word of praise or a matter of elevated taste or something to be enjoyed by everyone.
A lot of people have a misguided notion of the whole dynamic. Which is why plebs deny niche and sexual gaming because their whole definition of art is warped.
>NISA is so bad that KT had to say they weren't localizing a game
because it's not Art in the eyes of the world.
they're hiding behind unofficial conversations
Doesn't work like that there, the publisher pays the board to assess the game then the judgement is left on the website. That's why so many localization confirmations come from Australia.
NISA is trying to pass the buck and pretend they're not responsible.
>work at NISA
>have to deal with pedo neckbeards wondering why their mushroom cum on little girls simulators is getting censored in America
so how long can NISA keep this up? they have other companies having to tell people that they aren't censoring their games because NISA is censoring games that don't need to be
Senran Kagura Burst is uncensored and has a lower rating in Australia than either Europe or US, they have no metric to be judged by; what's allowed in 10 games will be the same reason 1 game is refused classification, they're fucking insane.
But that's beside the point. The point is NISA is full of shit and didn't approach ANY ratings boards and the whole of the blame falls on their internal decisions.
Anytime someone brings up the Senran Games NISA begins to hide behind the ESRB unofficial consult and ignoring reality. Would informing the ratings boards about this do anything?
I could take the time to blow you the fuck out of the water with a well thought out and rationalize argument as to why censorship in video games is a bad thing and how your misguided views are probably an ill attempt to rustle some jimmies.
But in all reality you're just a massive cocksucking nigger.
Unlikely because they don't care and the modified version will be the only game they'll have submitted.
It's too bad Japanese game developers aren't more like Miyazaki and actually fight the cutting of their creations in overseas markets.
Well, it obviously depends on what is getting censored to tell how bad it is. I heard pic related's first U.S. Translation actually tried to hide character deaths. Something like that would be inexcusable.
>there is nothing wrong with censorship.
>You can't prove me wrong.
Actually it's pretty easy to prove you wrong. Taking parts out of a product alters the original product, and also alters the experience of using the product. In other words, playing a censored game is not the same as playing an uncensored game. Censorship in itself means something was removed. As in, the censored product is less than the original product.
TL;DR: Censorship makes a game incomplete.
Hahaha, oh wow, fags aren’t answering your support e-mail, while Idea Factory responded to pretty much every complaint e-mail for MonHon’s censorship, two cases of stupid, but at least side is polite enough..
Well of course they're all going to tell you that the punishment scenes are 'problematic'. The ratings boards wouldn't be doing their jobs if they thought everything put in front of them was rainbows and sunshine.
The problem here is that NISA is refusing to listen to people who knows what the hell they're talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if NISA has some sort of victim complex, and that all the ratings boards are out to get them
>grand knight historia will never come to the west
I'd rather not play it at all
Wait, is NISA handling the Vita version?
If so, I'll have to end myself. It's like NISA deliberately wants to take hold of everything just so they can get dibs on butchering it
No, idiot. That's the entire point of the picture.
NISA released that censored "hint" or some shit, everyone got fucking furious, and Gust/Tecmo Koei immediately came out saying "NISA is not doing shit with our game, rest assured."
It's a pretty clear tell that everyone is aware of how much hate NISA is getting.
>You think that TK is having NISA handle the European distribution?
Come on, man. Put at least a little bit of brain power in this shit. NISA is an American company. It's in their fucking name. While I suppose it's within the realm of possibility that they "could" handle the European distribution, I highly doubt it.
The fact is, nobody knows what the fuck NISA is smoking when they put up that tweet.
>Also, you think TK hates NISA for the Atelier fuckups?
Don't just blindly hate NISA (even if they deserve it.) To be objectively fair, Atelier was an "okay" localization. I don't see any reason why TK would hate them for working on those games.
Its not that TK hates them, its just that the consumer doesn't trust NISA to handle anything and was worried that NISA was going to ruin something which is even worse for them
>Come on, man. Put at least a little bit of brain power in this shit. NISA is an American company. It's in their fucking name.
They're handling Atlus USA's games in Europe, like Soul Hackers and Persona Q.
>ask Houk to confirm his statements on the the unofficial consultation and NISA only making one version of the game as true
>'Are you preparing to publish this in some way?"
should i just tell him that I'm going to post it on a forum or pretend that I'm going to keep this conversation private?
If it was just mere distrust, TK wouldn't have been so hasty to assure everyone that NISA isn't touching the game.
I'm not downplaying what you're saying, but just saying that it goes beyond mere "distrust." It's something more than that, and everyone but NISA knows it.
I had forgotten that, sorry. I'm American, so it's not something I encounter very often.
So, if TK "were" going to let NISA handle distribution, then in light of that tweet I'd say it's pretty fair to assume that they wouldn't touch that shitbag company with a ten-foot pole in the current situation.
NISA's previous fuckups :
(Those with question marks have been rumored but cannot be entirely verified so take those with a grain of salt)
AR TONELICO ELEMIA, MANA KHEMIA 1 and 2
o Bad string handling leading to complete crash against specific bosses (AT1, MK2) / major part of the extra dungeon enemies (MK1). MK2's crash is rather easy to avoid, though.
o MK1: Unnecessary and flagrant name changes to a variety of playable main characters.
o MK2: Lack of testing in the extra chapter leads to crashes when doing certain tasks if Ulrika is the main character instead of Raze: Student handbook and Job post usage crash the game.
AR TONELICO METAFALICA
o Typographical errors, missing words, and shaky sentences, mistranslation of important game terms, inconsistently-adapted names
o Localization introduced or exposed game-crashing bugs in the game.
o NISA marketed the game based on Sex Appeal, when, in fact, AT2 was intended to be a more serious and thoughtful game, with less emphasis on cheap hooks and a greater focus on the plot, than Ar Tonelico Elemia
o In order to fit English voice acting onto the disc, they cut approximately half of the Japanese voice-acted scenes, leaving many important plot points lacking appropriate impact.
AR TONELICO QOGA
o Typographical errors and untranslated text in various spots on top of their "translation" not even being remotely close to the japanese track and english voice track, what little there is, not even matching the text in some areas.
o Binary Field (DLC episodes) scam where they put out each chapter separate then a few days after a bundle pack which didn't work if you had downloaded the first episode.
o Neptunia 1 would crash on the dungeon leaderboard screen if it couldn't upload your score while you were on PSN for whatever reason.
HYPERDMENSION NEPTUNIA mk2
o Very questionable localization quality. (bad translation, unfunny jokes/lines added to several dialogues which changed the characters personalities at times)
HYPERSIMENSION NEPTUNIA V
o Very questionable localization quality. (bad translation, unfunny jokes/lines added to several dialogues which changed the characters personalities at times)
o Didn't tell the gamers idol events DLC would not be included, then, when brought to attention, denied any and all knowledge of such DLC.
o Freezing issues with some DLC.
WITCH AND 100 KNIGHT
o Game-crashing bugs (rumour about a GameFAQs user fixing everything and mailed such solution/file to NISA. Still no official support nearly a half year from release, nor token mention of any such thing.)
o Mediocre translation. Added jokes and nonsense to dialogue.
o PS3 overheating (Confirmed to be replicable by person who originally made the post) http://nisamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14425&start=90
ATELIER ARLAND TRILOGY
o Name changing: Esty Erhart => Esty Dee (S T D = Sexual Transmission Disease, get it? XD)
DISGAEA 2 PSP
o They fucked up the dlc characters so they don't have voices.
o They decided not to release all the dlc characters, but released the final character, majin hinako.
o Majin hinako unlocks item book collection slots because it assumes you have the other dlc characters.
o Downloading majin hinkao means you can't complete the collection book, effectively killing anyone going for 100%
o Game-crashing SKILLS (several Fire-based)
o OPENING stops abruptly
o Fuuka and Desco were free DLC for the first month after release in Japan and Asia. Day 1 paid DLC in USA and EU.
CPU melting bug at release
o Scrubbing minigame removed over 120 CGs removed. Basically censored extremely lazily. Excuses given over the years were many and varied, but some of them were "We wanted to appeal as much as possible to a wider demographic." "The vocal minority can't put a dent in our wallet." "We find this content creepy." "Unofficial ESRB rep indicated this title has potential for AO (it didn't)"
o Created new bugs and glitches not seen in the JP release
o Massive lag during regular battles
o Can fail an area load after a battle forcing you to restart from your previous save
MUGEN SOULS Z
o Scrubbing minigame removed, over 120 CGs removed. See entry for Mugen Souls
o Elka introduced as the Hero of Water World when she's the hero of the Fire World
o Slumbering Boss battles cause freezes in Mugen Field
Tell me more and I'll add it.
>you will never kiss this belly after prodding it
GODFUCKINGYEAH this pleases me so fucking much.
NISA is so so shit, that other companies have to openly state NISA has nothing to do with their products.
Of course, NISA and NISAfags, still believe they are doing no wrong.
>NISA will always exist because of Disgaea. Disgaea fags are truly cancer.
Disgaea 4 sold like shit, comparatively to the rest of them. NIS is trying to "appeal to a wider demographic" for Disgaea 5.
Disgaea is no longer the cashcow it used to be.
Well Adell and rozalin are on disc dlc. That is self explanatory
Disgaea 3 dlc in the original japan release if you buy all the dlc you get to fight baal and a special thank you message. Now you could get this by purchasing the dlc one by one or the bundle in japan
Now when NISA brought the dlc and you bought all the dlc individually you didn't get the baal fight. Only way to do the fight is buying the bundle so if you already payed $50 in dlc you need to pay for it again in a bundle to fight baal.
Gamefaqs was fucking pissed at the time.
On disc DLC isn't an issue, if NIS did it first. The scope of this list isn't listing NIS's evils, but NISA's.
The second bit is pretty fucked up, however. Sounds pretty similar to the Ar Tonelica 3/Qoga bullshit scam.
>Like for shit like Mugen Souls, I doubt even their fans would care for that.
And you'd be right. Mugen Souls didn't sell precisely because they censored it and shit in their fans mouth. 2 years later, they still have stock of the LE.
See this gem of a video for proof that it didn't sell.
>posting "alright" demon gaze art to try and disprove me
I'm not even going to post a picture of the shitty art in the game because you know exactly what I'm fucking talking about. Even the one you posted isn't anything great. For one the placement of her legs and ass in comparison to the perspective of the upper part of the picture looks weird., almost as if it's at an angle then it just suddenly becomes flat.
>people PMing one of the mods on the forums
>make an account to ask him what's up with all the bugs and censorship in the nicest way I can muster since when I tried to contact support they just lied to my face
>almost 12 hours ago
>still no reply, even though he was clearly active when I sent it to him
I don't know what I expected.
It's because they utterly hate their core consumer base.
NISA is comprised of people with SJW-tier moral beliefs. It burns them up inside that they have to work on loli anservice games.
So, they stick their head in the sands and say "Fuck it. We're not selling shit to that crappy minority anyways," totally ignoring the fact that the minority is who pays their bills.
Because they're as bad as CF in terms of being self hating weeaboos.
>we love loli touching games but don't like loli touching because the jocks that beat me up in high school call it weird!
Somebody posted some last night where somebody was saying stuff like "Hey what's going on with all this censorship. I mean I'm a waitress and I can't really afford to just buy anything so I'd rather save my money than buy something with cut content" and rather than replying he tried to turn it into a discussion about where she works and what college she's going to.
When were the SJWs around? Were the unaware of things like Disgaea?
Why the fuck would they even bother localizing titles like these then? What was their original goal?
>can anything be done?
don't buy it, encourage others to not buy it either but don't do an active boycott. Just starve them for money and attention. Hope it works, even if it probably won't.
>Why the fuck would they even bother localizing titles like these then?
They're poor, and fan demand for Criminal Girls has been high as fuck for years.
They lost Neptunia, their second best cashcow. Disgaea, their best cashcow, is flopping. Mugen Souls a (potential) cashcow was dead on arrival thanks to the censorship. They can't translate Atelier games any longer.
The only series they have left that sells is Dangan Ronpa, and wouldn't you know, they split the Japanese 1+2 games into two separate games, while charging you full price for both.
Reading about how NISA handles games makes me hope they go under and I don't even like the kind of games they've localized.
Also I forgot to mention the dlc had alot of translation issues. Such as gig's favorite food is "hot pots" instead of hotpods and the translation issues are still in the vita release
>It also retains the original cringe-worthy translation.
What? They didn't bother fixing up the translation and make it more sensible? Why the fuck does NISA like to fuck up the writing/script instead of keeping it originally intact to or close to the original Japanese script?
Yeah, you're already translating and publishing a fairly niche type of game, why take out one of the big reasons people actually buy it?
It's sleazy but who cares, I would do that work if it pays the bills.
Anon who got Houk to admit that they censored the game based on unofficial consulting here. I can't access my NISA forum account so Houk must have said something that he shouldn't have that they want quiet
>fan demand for Criminal Girls has been high as fuck for years.
Too bad demand is gonna drop low now because its being censored.
>The only series they have left that sells is Dangan Ronpa, and wouldn't you know, they split the Japanese 1+2 games into two separate games, while charging you full price for both.
Still pissed off about that. I rather pay $40 for both instead of $80 for both($40 separately). Only way I buy it is if they repackage it containing 1 and 2 on a single cart like the JP version.
I'd try to avoid working at a company that upsets the very small market it caters to.
Such a business generally isn't destined for longevity and stable employment.
But we'll see how this pans out for them.
i still got all the important screenshots of the PM's from the back and forth we had. once i organize them I'll put them together. other than that should we send our shit to anyone in the ESRB or gaming media?
Holy fuck, I hope with all these complaints and NISA getting BTFO'd, I hope they end up changing their minds and end up either releaseing CGI uncensored or cancel localization of CGI.
You might be barking up the wrong tree here.
The boards haven't officially seen the game, no, as there is nothing to see. But a representative of the boards have seen some of the worst "offenders" of the Japanese version. In an unofficial capacity.
The fact remains that someone from the boards, somewhere, has at least seen a bit of it, and unofficially discussed the sort of rating it might receive from the board. This is common practice for localization companies who have "problematic" content. Even XSEED do it.
It's dishonest and disingenuous though, as the unofficial rep can not rate a Japanese game in an accurate and worthy manner for American/Europe/Aussie release, as that is not the version we will be getting, especially considering (presumably, I admit) they can not read Japanese.
Mind you, NISA doesn't give a single shit about that. If this mysterious dude even hints at the possibility of an AO rating (for any reasoning, no matter how slim) they will rally behind this as their justification to censor. Because "muh wider audience," and "muh morals."
If it makes you feel any better, I never got a reply to my last post either. Not that I was expecting one at that point.
>These decisions are never made lightly, and whenever we do make them, it comes after working closely with the various rating boards as well as the developer . Making the changes necessary to release some of our more niche titles in the West is not, and never has been, an attempt at making the game more appealing to a larger audience. We know that censoring a game would lose just as many fans as it may potentially bring in.
I am fucking furious. We have PROOF that this entire goddamn sentence is lying bullshit, and they have the gall to release an interview/statement/whatever saying it's otherwise?
Holy fucking SHIT I hope they all die.
>HS is fine
I don't get why people hate HS. Their translations aren't ever bad or fucked like say Commie or TV-Nihon. Sure there's no real polish to what they do but I mean, I watch the shows for the actual content in them not the editied in subtitles.
>Yes, improvements. Why watch a DVD when there's a BD?
You do know they all use Crunchyroll's video source right? No one actually provides ts raws anymore. May as well wait for BDMV encodes with that mindset.
You fuck. You beat me to it.
Whatever. Here's another take with posts from the last thread
I just want to watch my shows with a translation that isn't balls retarded. I've spent too much time enjoying Tokusatsu to put up with those things when I don't have to. And besides that I just really, really don't care about shitty subbing drama or whatever.
You talk as if clicking one link over the other is a gigantic hassle. Know your subgroups and chose the one you trust the most, if that's the one about Jean Pierre Eiffel getting attacked by Soul Sacrifice then that's your choice.
If you go to /a/ nobody will get mad at you for posting HS screenshots / filenames, Crunchyroll is competent but take too many liberties or are bound by copywright law. The only hate HS gets is for the actually people behind it, not all but their IRC is insufferable and, oh yeah, they fucking killed Mangatraders.
Why do people get stumped when Houk asks them what they want from him?
Tell him to release the game uncensored. THAT'S WHAT WE WANT.
There can be no peace until all games are released uncensored. This crusade must not end until the world is awash in blood and loli nipples, while the burning wastes echo with the cries of ?????!! and ?????????!!
>We know that censoring a game would lose just as many fans as it may potentially bring in
The problem with that is that it's a Vita game. You're just losing sales and gaining next to none.
I'm getting to the point where, aside from kanji, I can read these things...
It feels good.
Too bad I still don't know what the fuck they mean
There's more than just one problem with that line.
There's also the fact that NISA has, for years and years, stuck their head in the sand and outright denied that censorship has anything to do with Mugen Souls terrible sales.
Now they are suddenly reversing their statements to lie and garner sympathy. It is, in all senses of the phrase, damage control.
Silver linings is that you can take this as a tacit admission that they are actually paying attention. They know this is hurting them, so they need to spin it in their favor by any means possible.
I dont even give a shit about Criminal Girls I just fucking hate NISA.
Also people should have a right to their niche pervert otaku games. But mostly I hate NISA.
Riddle me this:
Assuming you work at NISA (unlikely, but let's roll with it), why would you work for a company whose top game is Disgaea, a game that features a practically naked loli (Etna) and a shirtless shota (Laharl) doing silly things?
Why would work for a company that basically has shitloads of fanservice and loli games when you hate both of these things? Last I checked, you should be doing a job you enjoy (Tom seems to enjoy the fuck out of his job at XSeed).
i sent that last question to nisa
>NISA has said that they were censoring the game to appeal to a broader audience and then said in separate statements that the game is being censored due to ratings concerns. but Mugen souls sold poorly due to censorship and several other games have featured content as bad or worse that were entirely uncensored. so with that in mind, why are you censoring the game?
The question is, what will you fags do?
OHRIGHT! Nothing, just bitching on /v/ and not-buying it will surely teach NISA, huh?
I'm gonna complain and tell people not to support them while not supporting them myself.
I'm not in some kind of position where I can change this for the better through personal action so the best I can do is try to get others to not buy from them and hope enough people follow that they either realize it's a bad idea to keep doing this or go out of business.
Does anyone have the full screencap of pic related?
Stupid fucks elsewhere on the internet refuse to believe NISA is lying about this ESRB shit, and they must be proven wrong with zero chance of backpedaling or accusing me of false claims.
How does that help either of you?
They'll stilll release the game as it is.
And whether they go backrupt or not, you won't get the game you wanted.
You're gonna have to find another way to remedy this issue.
I can't just wave my hand and turn NISA into XSEED.
If I ever get the strong, desperate desire to play this I can always emulate the original on PSP or import the Vita version.
Who else is having fun molesting Alic-OH RIGHT!
Nothing, but some people just dont have the means, confidence, or know-ho to do it.
Its just a shame they have to deal with this shite.
>NISA says they can't localize it because ratings boards
>ratings boards never looked at it offcially
>NISA lies in official statement saying that they worked closely with the ratings boards
the next step if finding out what to do with the information that shows NISA lying, then after that see what they do and keep the pressure on them.
How did they lie? No seriously, they release a vague PR bullshit statement about "working closely together" with various rating boards and that's exactly what they did.
Technically this is true since they did send a couple of emails unofficially to the rating boards.
>the next step if finding out what to do with the information that shows NISA lying,
I'm posting it all over the siliconera article, but this is likely not enough.
I don't know what else to do that would bear more fruit, though. The only thing I can think of is starting some shit on Twitter, but I can count my experience with that site with one hand.
>people find out about NISA lying and start a shitstrom
>NISA is a small company that has to make its employees moderate the forums for free so they cannot handle the fallout like Bioware
>NISA either brings the game uncensored or makes bigger fools out of themselves and kills off remaining fan support
I can just import it if they don't, but the entire even it just lulz worth. Why do you care so much anyway?
worst-case scenario: game is released and censored in ALL regions
best case scenario: game is released censored in some but not all regions leaving the option to import the game in english from 'straya or somewhere else in the UK
am i following this right
You shouldn't be buying the game in the first place, it uses the most basic JRPG battle system there is with the added hinderance of not being fully in control of the party's actions and all attacks are portrayed with the same two frame animation.
I ask, EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.
what are you gonna do faggots? WHAT?
>b-but that anon who posted on forums
NO, YOU, what are you gonna do?
>b-but TK even dissed NISA
NO, YOU, gaylords, YOU.
Don't loli tits deserve the time to at least make a NISA forum account and express your dislike in there?
You know what, YOU dont deserve loli spanking. Im glad this is getting censored, Im glad NISA is alive. YOU deserve it.
I did. All it proves is that they never officially got a rating in any official capacity. Technically they still did exchange emails and got an unofficial response which apparently let them justify their censoring.
Their press release still technically holds.
>tfw talking about you
Yep, Im so proud of that txt file.
I made an account and I sent this to Houk but I never got a response.
Last week I emailed NISA's support asking if they would remove or change anything (lost the email by now so I can't post it, sorry) a few days before they put out an official notice of what they'd be changing and hours after I read that they sent me an email saying it would have no changes, so.
I could complain on the forums but it honestly feels like a lost cause.
No, it counts. I'm just pointing out that it's much easier to sell out on something with a very small run than something with a larger one. Though I guess that's common sense.
Forget the NISA forums. That's overrun by deluded drones. And NISA themselves have proven that they don't give a single fuck about your complaints. If anything, focus on the siliconera comments and expose NISA's bullshit PR statements to an audience that actually has a chance of listening:
I'd assume NISA at least had the brains to abandon their hopes of making it their next Disgaea after the flop.
There are no real sexual undertones in Disgaea but I think it's still funny how Etna still gets a pass.
You need to re-read >>252669674
More specifically; 1, 7, 9, 11, and onward from there.
I specifically asked him about submissions for unofficial help. and he immediately stated that he had shared all the information he had. There is a reason the HOLD IT! is there; he refused to acknowledge his prior statement and provide an answer for it.
So yeah, doing nothing at all.
My point stads, you people deserve these localizations.
Keep fighting anon. Good work.
No. I been bitching since MSOuls, and I started the bitching on CGirls, but got banned for posting lewd lolis.
Just saw the pics, goodfucking job.
Off to siliconera to post opinions and shit.
found it. Man I'm glad the new archives keep images.
The PSP original is the most boring of blatant fanservice game I've played. Frequent random encounters and grinding blandly presented battles just to pump that EXP into simple minigames where you try to expose as much of a still image as possible, and now even that insentive is gone? Sweet.
"No, no, stop! W-we didn't censor your game, i-it was ESRB and PEGI!"
Well duh, we're not wizards yet. We cant do the impossible, all we can do is blow them the fuck out and expose their hypocrisy to sabotage the sales of the game so that NISA will die more quickly.
>Torch the NISA offices?
You could, and you should.
But you won't, faggot loser.
>Not learning japanese and play the original game as it's supposed to be
>We cant do the impossible
Of course you can't, it would require you to browse other sites than 4chan.
It would require you to go to facebook, twiter, nisa forums, vidya sites. Nothing that needs you to leave your chair, yet youll do nothing.
Im not buying the game and being as vocal as possible about how terrible the localization is while supporting superior localizations from companies like Xseed.
I'm doing everything I can.
>>I'm doing everything I can.
Its OK man, I know its the best you can do. I know.
You act like I'm not being vocal about this. I got banned from their forum for posting about it there and I'm also expressing concerns on Twitter and plan to post on Siliconera and other articles when I get home.
I know it had some pointless name changes and it probably had some ebin maymays thrown in.
The o ly thing they havent fucked up recently is Demon Gaze, but only because Kadokawa was breathing down their necks.
>being this butthurt that people are trying to do something about a shitty company
This isn't even related but it was in the comments for that article and now I'm kinda upset.
I mean fuck I don't like Lollipop Chainsaw but if people are gonna claim shit like Bioshock Infinite is a work of art I don't see why LC can't be art too.
>It would require you to go to facebook, twiter, nisa forums, vidya sites.
NISA forums are a null zone. Censorship of any mention of censorship is being applied heavily and judiciously. I'm posting on SiliconEra trying to convince these retarded shill fucktards that they are being lied to, but they refuse to believe it.
Is there some sort of thing on facebook? I've got a facebook account lying around here somewhere that I use solely to get free things, once every year or so. Tell me if I can use it to give a massive "fuck you" to NISA.
Nice. Get back to us with what they say
Would love an explanation for this
Look at you fucking sweat
I get off to faggots like you who desperately try to defend the guilty party
We don't need to raid NISA. We've already won
That doesn't actually mean anything to me.
I have never used facebook once in my entire life except to click the "like" button on certain pages to get free shit. I have no idea how to operate that shit site.
There's that word again. Like when someone on /pol/ unironically uses the word "privilege" or "problematic" or "shitlord". On /pol/ it's SRS outing themselves, in this case it's a NISAshill outing himself.
>but they refuse to believe it.
Some people don't want to believe
How'd I do?
Dont bring pol or dodge the question.
Wheres my proof? I FUCKING HATE NISA, but as anons have showed in the thread, there are lots of pics showing how Houk is just bullshitting us.
So, why is there no pics or facts or twitters or whatever about Kadokawa supervising NISA regarding DGaze.
USE THEIR DARKNESS AGAINST THEM
LET THE SHADOWS BURN IN LIGHT LESS, BLACK FIRES
I like it.
You're raping him, anon. You're raping him with the truth
I hate to say this but ONLY NISA shills have been assheadedly demanding "proof" over inane things trying to kill momentum in these threads. I'm not going to play your game, shill.
DGaze is not the topic at hand here. What happened with that game is irrelevant to all the other shit going on now. Do your own digging, don't insist people spoonfeed you, casual.
Keep the good work.
Also, I can't be the only one that thinks that
some of these extreme SJW posters in GAF and siliconera are just /v/irgins trying to troll other /v/irgins just for lulz.
>what are you gonna do faggots? WHAT?
not buy shit from gaylords, import, emulate, play fan translations, whatever the fuck i want.
i can't be arsed learning nippon, but i wont pay for censorship from a bunch of niggers who aren't even fans of the shit they're working on.
So what's the plan for taking this scandal to the media? Do we go for bad PR to try to make NISA back off on the censorship entirely, or just keep converting potential buyers into boycotting?
Personally I think we should stay off "gaming journalism" as much as possible, considering we already know they're compromised. Does Criminal Girls have an Amazon page yet?
>How was the danganropa translation? didnt it ruin anything?
Nope, actually. The translation was good and the few changes were understandable.
Also: NO memes
Witch & 100 Knight was almost perfect if it wasn't for the scant amount of Eng VA work (which was well acted) and GAME BREAKING BUG THESE FAGGOTS NEVER PATCHED
Also Demon Gaze was great.
Dangan ronpa 2 is looking really good also:
There is one singular team amidst the shithouse that is NISA that does good work. No one knows who they are or even if it's just one guy, but he is the lone hero who carries a heavy burden
For once in my pathetic virgin life, I am actually more pissed about the story/dialog changes, than the censoring of lewd.
It's pretty much guaranteed that punishment time will be renamed to motivation time. That change alone will mess up the story so hard. Punishment is seen as a negative action, while motivation is often seen as a positive action. What kind of 'motivation' uses electrocution and whips?
They are going to change the original script so much to work with their censorship, it will make 4kids blush
>As suspected. Nice proof faggots. No really.
Proof of what?
About Kadokawa supervising Demon Gaze?
Kadokawa usually sticks close to their products even via translation. It's as much of fact as SpikeChunsoft doing the same thing.
No hard evidence on Kadokawa, though, you're right, but it's not insane to figure when even Houk admitted in the forums that
>We've been working closely with Spike Chunsoft
and that SpikeyChun went so far as to mandate that certain things remain the same like "Monokuma" and etc.
No proof on Kadokawa, true, but as I said, it's not crazy talk to believe it.
There's only two games that aren't from NIS that NISA hasn't censored, fucked with, or broken recently, and those are Demon Gaze and Danganronpa.
I thought about it for a while, and the 'motivation' between airquotes actually does make me kind of giggle a bit more than 'Punishment time'
"Don't wanna fight huh, Shin? Guess I need to motivate you a little!"
"That doesn't sound so ba--- *AUDIO CENSORED BY NISA*"
"NIce to see you all motivated now!"
I'd rather have the original, sure, but the new name for it and the difference between it and what is actually happening just can't help but make me chuckle.
I say try as hard as possible to get NISA to change their minds. If release day hits and they change nothing, then start a fake feminist campaign calling out the assault of virtual womyn within the minigame
They either get pissed enough to uncensor out of spite, or start censoring twice as hard and no one buys their shit ever again
Either way, we win
>tfw you know Japanese
Glad I'll never had to deal with that shit.
They cut out all emotion when they removed the voices. It really is just a dumb pointless minigame now that gives you stats. As people said earlier, the voices are good interactive indicators that show how well you are progressing with a girl. Now you have to get the same feels by reading a number
I'm not kidding when I say that if it gets patched I will buy the game. It is the only NISA game I've been interested in since 2010 or so but fuck that game breaking bug shit.
By the way, I played the PSP version of criminal girls and all the girls there felt like they created a pretty solid team as is.
How do Himekami and Miu play? Are they OP? Do they have associated sins?
The hardest part for me now is to find shit I'm actually interested in reading. After I started learning I suddenly lost all motivation to read the stuff I wanted to read. And I can't seem to find anything that can keep me glued to it for several hours.
I won't drop it, but I realize I'm going at a snails pace.
How long did it take you anyway ?
>tfw Witch & 100 Knight is actually really well done, has some good humor, memorable characters, perfect waifu, dark as fuck moments, and a story twist that's really fucking great
>tfw you can't continue to play the game because the bug will fuck you over at random times in the most crucial ways
And people wonder why we hate NISA
I have a W&100K LE with OST and sexy box art, but whenever I see it all I see is loss
>We apologize for this situation and we hope that you will stand by us as we continue to bring as many creative, fun, and exciting products as we possibly can. Thank you for your support.
So, how long until they die?
>NISA censoring Criminal Girls Invitation
They drew First Blood!
>this comment was deleted
I will never forgive NISA for it's pinball machine rape of At Tonelico
Their crimes against W&100K only add to their crimes
Siliconera shit mod is deleting vast swathes of comments proving misinformation and dishonesty, and leaving up the stupidest shilling shit imaginable.
I've known it for a long time, but I never had contact with it before; everything outside of 4chan is a pathetic normaltrash shithole.
We didn't attack NISA
We confronted them on their bullshit.
Tumblr was attacked. NISA was shown up by logic and sound argument.
Besides, Siliconera's always been faggoty about the comments.
>Is there any reputable website that would take this information and put it to good use?
No really, this site is shitty but also shimmering gold at the same time. It has a massive influx of people and just posting it whenever you get a chance or thread on it works enough.
Other sites don't have that idiot savant quality this one and 2ch does. The forums are moderated via SJW bias and all gaming tabloids are shitty pandering tabloids
/v/ your face when no makai kingdom 2, no phantom brave 2, no Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman 2, la pucelle tactics 2 or rhapsody a musical adventure 2
>thinking this is an attack
Nigger, what Tumblr went through was an attack
This? This is winning an argument
So, what a good site for weeb news?
I can bet than before tomorrow, the siliconera article will have comments-blocked/erased.
As usual, we can have thousands of asskissing comments, that offer nothing to discussion (YAY DAY 1 BUY >o< , CANT WAIT FOR IT, THANKS NISA, etc..) but to have "negative" discussion or comments are a big no-no.
I'm trying desperately to inform people about why they are saying dumb things but it feels like less of an uphill battle and more like I'm trying to take a stepladder to space.
>So, what a good site for weeb news?
Here. Honest to god, this is the best place for any news. No shitty mods to regulate what you say, or what you are "allowed" to talk about. Just find the relevant thread and there done.
Also, by the by, you're wrong. Siliconera is already banning anti-censorship people, and deleting their comments. It only took about 2 hours before it happened.
>So, what a good site for weeb news?
I like siliconera and gematsu, but I'm looking for japanese alternatives.
Anyway, neither of them come close to what andriasang used to be.
>Whatfor? Nothing will change.
It's cathartic mostly, also good evidence to show NISA has no excuse
Not to mention that it bugs NISA and the company's echo chamber, which is a plus.
Sometimes it feels like the drones and shills are the only people you're speaking to, but the reality is that the majority of the people who will see those comments are people who will never post a comment themselves. It's true on 4chan, and it's true anywhere else. It's important that we make the arguments for our side clear for those people.
And then there are people that get shit like this
You're preching to people who are going to buy a game whose sole premise is to spank little girls into obedience after the depictions of that are removed. The premise is still there and the it's the crux of the character development, I don't understand how anyone against the idea would suddenly be okay with it after removing the mini games but these are the people you're trying to convince.
What the fuck?
He probably wants to make her eat all the eggs
Some faggot made an account on the XSEED forums, and BEFORE CHECKING TO SEE IF THERE WAS ALREADY A THREAD DISCUSSING IT made one about the NISA censorship. He then used my image with the btfo flavor text, instead of the one that I had posted on siliconera with the timestamp and flavor text removed.
Which, coincidentally had already been posted in the thread that had already been made, and was already being discussed in a civil manner.
He's literally a fucking autist. What happened to lurking before you fucking post? Goddamn.
I didn't know being a pedo was a bannable offense on their rules list.
I mean it's pretty stupid to just up and say that on a page like this but still. That doesn't seem like something you should be banned for.
This is what all the bitching is about? HOLY FUCKING SHIT /v/ take a good look at yourself, this is fucking pathetic goddamn anons get it together.
>He's literally a fucking autist. What happened to lurking before you fucking post? Goddamn.
Faggots gotta fag, mate. Did you ever see that one dope who tried to make it seem like he was in charge of the Tumblr raid?
Could be mockery on both of their parts or someone "pretending" to be stupid, but who knows? Just as long as the civil discussion continues it's cool
>Basically the minigame is as good as removed.
Also dialogue is being altered, things are being renamed, and character backstories will have to be changed since they involve the punishment game
Also note that the "minigame" is literally the selling point of the game and is used regularly as a part of gameplay
Very little but you made it sound like "Alright, what got censored -now- guys?"
I just find it funny that these threads will be dead when the game releases and the topic will move on to the next game that's getting censored (consumers are spineless so enjoy the censorship while it lasts. Everyone and gaming died when people fully supported digital only games too). After Bravely Default's ordeal, it's just the same parroting here.
>This is bullshit
>ur a pedo
That sounded sarcastic and creepy at the same time.
>why is he such a faggot?
Like I said anon,
faggots just gotta fag
Back in 2006-2007, an American senator started a petition in an attempt to have the statue of David wrapped in a garb due to the "lewd nature" of the statue and its exposed penis
>Just looked at NISA's fagbook page
>Holy sweet mother of cancer
Shit, these guys are such fucking faggots it hurts. They put "dood" after everything and are the type of faggots who use "XD". The people they want to sell to are their loyal cock sucking 14yo faggot fanboys who post on Siliconera and also post things like "XD" and "dood". The thing is though, these people would buy the game even it was uncensored so why even censor it to begin with. Seriously, fuck this gay earth. I can't handle how retarded this is. These people make it look like fans of Japanese RPGs are all little faggot teenagers. This isn't fucking true at all. They underestimate this "small hardcore niche" they speak of and I hope they die because of it. Fuck, I seriously want to get a job in the business of bringing Japanese games to the west so I can fix all this goddamn cancerous faggotry.
>using Criminal Girls as an argument for video games being art
This is a better thing to complain about, but nobody is out to call Spongebob art even though it was pretty much the best cartoon ever.
>Censoring the game before even announcing it?
