It's because one of the dimensions in the resolution is an odd number. Notice how the first two in the thread don't work (odd horizontal resolution), then the next two work (both even), then the next doesn't, etc.
rename that webm to "THIS MUST BE THE WORK OF AN ENEMY STAND!" Kinda helps that it looks like part 4 Jotaro
Thanks for clarifying! So dimensions must be even then? I think this should be mentioned in every webm thread in the OP.
the whole game is designed around 30fps. Increasing the fps would make the game unplayable. The game runs just fine as it is.
I find it hilarious that just after the fan translation for the game was released, a week later they announce the HD version being ported. All that work gone to waste.
A man of taste.
you are just saying that because there is no apparent way to experience it in 60, you know if you could play it at that frame rate it would be better, you are just accepting that it's fine
not much, but something..I still don't really know why this game is so fucking massive since the graphics are really nothing amazing.
QTEs always bother me. They don't add any sort of challenge, which leaves me to wonder if the devs just wanted to show off their fancy animations, or if they don't trust me to be able to pull that off on my own.
I'm not sure how else you'd pull a tentacled head off your neck. Honestly, I don't really see much of a problem with them in Dead Space. They're not really that common and it's just a mash when it does happen, maybe it'd be better if they just attacked you but it's not really a big deal. Plus, I hear they do fuck-tons of damage on the harder difficulties which is no doubt pretty panic-inducing.
In my ignorance, I chose Medium. It's a goddamn cakewalk.
Its to prevent assholes from comboing you for eternity. Its stupid easy to combo in that game so making the damage scale back that hard keeps you from getting completely fucked on a single wiff.
Combos past like 5 hits tend to be pretty much for show.
Yea, i got that it's stupid easy because it seemed like he got to 20 with like four hits and 2 special moves.
But still having that scaling so low is fucking ridiculous
I mean it's not technically worth it to do more than like 3 hits with that shit.
Can you at least explain it to me?
How can Dio start an ultra or whatever, and jotaro use his to fuck with the dio players one
>space wallpaper maker: the game
Left 4 Dead has a solution which is much more elegant, in my opinion. Regular zombies will latch onto you and slow you down, and the player has to either shoot them or use a melee attack to knock them away so they can get free again. I don't see why the developers couldn't have done something similar, instead of weakening the player's immersion with a big button prompt and a canned animation.
But you're wrong.
They released it because there were rumors of the HD announcement.
Besides, how is it work gone to waste?
Wouldn't it be the other way around with the HD version being rendered deprecated now that we can play it at high definition in any device that supports ppsspp?
It's because of what started the combo and the team composition that the scaling was so low. It's a 2v1 team setup so the single char has a -lot- more HP. Then since the assist char (Double the big blue blob) started it, it scaled down a lot to top it off. Hornet Bomber (the attack the assist was using) proccs damage scaling really hard because of how good of a lockdown assist it is. It's relatively low risk so it is low reward to balance it out.
Solo chars do a lot more damage in their individual combos and while teams generally require meter to super cancel into eachother and extend their combo damage output.
I don't really think that would fit the monster design, if a necromorph grabs you then it's gonna start killing you. Not to mention it'd still be a bit awkward due to being a third person shooter, it'd look silly if Issac was walking around with a necromorph clinging to his leg and you can't exactly do a 180 while that's happening. They'd probably have to root you in place still and the only real difference instead of mashing E would be mashing the mouse buttons to either shoot or smack the thing off.
Ok this has been pissing me off way too much. Why can I not load these Webms
but I can load these?
It's making me tear my hair out trying to fix this shit.
>You'll never have a succubus waifu
Are you the faggot Parasoul I played against eariler?
I played my first Skullgirls online match eariler and some Parasoul was doing some ridculous ass fucking combo that I literally could not move the ENTIRE fight, some serious neckbeard status
I don't know why I bothered learning vega and sagat, I don't particularly like how they play and they burned through all my points
>spam attack to win: the move
Attack mode, and Machina in general, is really underwhelming. Also, while I'm finding it fun, the game is too chock full of instakill moves, both on your and your enemies' part. That, and AI partners that are useless.
get the fuck out
I don't want a repeat of
When DIO uses the steamroller GHA on Jotaro, Jotaro can use the time stop command during the cutscene to reduce the damage from it, blowing 2 bars of meter.
It's kinda useless but it looks cool.
Well yeah, because Stroggification didn't touch your penis. There's also a scene where you're being POV hanged, and another in the main game with POV having your fingers cut off. POV torture is spooky.
>mfw they fully cut the Stroggification scene here in germoney
just played that game nw since i never did earlier
the gameplay is shit but the game knows how to create an atmosphere
>walking the halls shooting and killing everyone
>ominus music starts playing
>"i dont like this"
>get a feeling something dangerous is in the school
>realize its me
>music turns into a meta/rap solo as i kill more people
>Playing Skullgirls with strangers
I'm sorry but that's retarded
Skullgirls is a great game to play with friends but not with people who recite hour long combos
Want to win online? Just learn the longest combo you can and use it like a bitch
The game doesn't have alot of resets
SSDs have limited read-write cycles. They won't last forever, but if they don't last you at least 2 years you're doing something fucky.
The Samsung 840, Crucial M4, and most Intel SSDs are good.
It's a he, and he's just an insane sadist. He views most of his attempts at women as imperfect and so ends up killing them after cutting off their dicks or sewing breasts on. He's got a gym full of dozens of "failures" hanging from the ceiling.
The protagonist makes an interesting note that the guy (who is nicknamed The Groom) is trying to make women not so he can have a bride but so he can murder them.
no idea im just getting into monhunter i started with P3rd
i hope it comes stateside though id buy it for
vitain a heartbeat
the fact that its sub based kinda bother me though and im sure im not alone
Don't worry, I don't like the sub either. But I'm such a diehard MH fan that I'm willing to pay to fight the new monsters, use the Tonfas, and generally check out all the new shit Frontier has to offer, which is a fucking lot.
You can check out the wiki to see what monsters are unique to Frontier and go from there. There's usually just so much that I don't really know where to start for recording footage.
yeah i'll probably take one for the team and pay the sub if it comes
i remember logging into JPN XBL and PSN a while back and seeing videos of characters with custom F/SN weapons and capcom created costumes from animes/games i had a good laugh the game seems fun from the outside at least
h and daily reminder that pic related is where capcom is heading and its localization was one of the only things they showed this e3
Yeah, thankfully the MH team seems to be apart from the Capcom downward spiral. They may use the MH stuff in bad ways like the mobile Freedom Unite, but the game is still MH on the inside at least.
Also the event/cash shop armors range from cool to hilarious.
Going into the really populated lobbies is usually a laugh riot.
It's a combination of by ear and guides.
Minegard has a good collection of guides that will see you through the first half of the game, and also to set you up with your farm and extra stuff.
Everything else is find it out as you go along. The first portion is pretty easy if you've ever played a MH before, since it's similar to any 2nd gen game. You get your low rank, then your high rank, and then shit goes crazy. We have someone who can type japanese characters and translate them simply, so we can use that to then look up on the japanese wikis if an item is eluding us.
As for the community, I have no idea if there is one. Basically we have me and the 4 others I play with, and that's all we know of that are currently active. We'd be more open but we don't want to test the "They ban people who speak proper English" rumor.
And it is true they ban foreign IPs.
I have to play through a VPN.
Oh, that actually makes sense. I read up about him on the wiki, said he was a misogynist and serial mutilator. Pretty fucked up.
Damn, the antagonists in Whistleblower actually sound threatening and fucked up, unlike the stupid meatbags of the original.
Can you still beat the game easy just by sprinting everywhere or did they actually fix the AI?
i hate qte´s too but dead space did them right
atleast ds1 and ds2.
its hard to explain because its adds some extra depth to the gameplay.
you have to shoot these little critters from afar.
if you fail the only option you have left is to shack them of, its kind of a neat feature which is part of the immersion.
The levels are a lot more varied in my opinion. It requires a lot more climbing through vents. That said, they didn't change the AI too much, and the only antagonists who persistently pursue you aside from the random crazy are The Cannibal and The Groom.
It does expand on the ending of the main game, however, as the events of the DLC begin shortly before the events of the main game. They conclude shortly after Miles
is ambushed in the laboratory. Miles gains control of the Walrider and saves your life after you get stabbed in the chest. The Walrider surrounds you as you drive away in Miles' car, but he doesn't attack you.
Oh yeah, Chris Walker, the crazy huge guy who attacks you in the main game? He actually chases you a few times, too. In fact pretty much all the main characters make an appearance in the DLC.
>tfw want to get into monster huntan but dunno where to start
>He explains: “The reason why we have increased our support for so many hardware platforms is because we have our sights set on distributing services for this game in the future outside Japan. We simply can’t release a game as it is, but need to adapt all the necessary services to the unique characteristics of each region. In preparation for that, we’ve broadened our scope and started launching individual titles across multiple hardware platforms.”
>At one point in the interview, Ono states: “There is little need to focus on game consoles in other Asian countries because they are only used by hardcore gamers. We do intend to continue marketing titles aimed at hardcore gamers, but in general our primary focus in the Asia is building up the market for online games.
G is console exclusive though
portable 3rd with the English patch was easier to access than FU but not as easy as 3U
P3rd and DU can also be played on emulators
playing P3rd right now
Easiest places would be to download PPSSPP and go with either Freedom Unite or Portable 3rd.
FU (Freedom Unite) has more content but it's from an earlier generation, so less weapon types and more clunky hitboxes.
Portable 3rd (P3rd) has less content overall, but it's much more polished than FU. It is also only in Japanese, but the ISO should be patched so only non-essential
the tutorial is non-essentialportions are still untranslated.
>Update: Siliconera received a statement from Capcom regarding the possibility of bringing Monster Hunter Frontier G to the West. “For the West, no announcements have been made,” a representative said to Siliconera. The post’s headline has been updated after receiving the statement.
It's got a snowball's chance in hell at making it over.
But hey, it's a chance.
Third generation is newb-proof, as far as the series goes. Hitboxes that make sense, rather varied monsters, all that jazz that makes Monster Hunter, like grinding and crafting. Freedom Unite is another one, it has a fuckton of content but suffers in quality (read: bad hitboxes and endless recolors fo monsters that do double the damage and have twice the HP of a normal one), that will prepare you well for the future games if you keep up with it.
Gotta love mp 2
For me and my friend, we only had to slow it down during the quest loading screen. Afterwards it was fine, as well as in the hall.
But yeah, it's a tad frustrating to get working.
It's coming to the Wii U yes.
Even has Fire Emblem costumes.
Will you be able to play it? Probably not.
Yeah, I heard that too. 3 players doesn't work without a dummy, although I'm pretty sure you can get the dummy to leave at the start of the quest and everything will be fine.
Never tried though.
>hex mundane dagger.
I'm glad this game is dead.
