>stores compete amongst each other by means of sales, discounts, memebership perks, etc.
>units unable to be sold cannot be sent back because stores buy products in bulk
>units now end up in clearance
>units not sold in clearance end up in pallet auctions
>units not sold in pallet auctions are donated for tax exceptions

Game developers and publishers get paid when they sell to the distributor. Distributor gets paid when stores buy the product.

Am I understanding this correctly? Is this how it works?
