Not worth the performance toll.
I've recently got myself a 49" 4k hdr tv, hooked up my pc, and launched RE7 in 4k with hdr, and then Dirt 3 in 4k.
After that I played those using 1080p settings.
The difference was almost unnoticeable, when sitting 3 metres from the tv.
4k meme is pushed harder than the muh diversity meme by the publishers.

I was watching GB and their talk around the conference... suddenly Ben said Sony would show plenty of Japanese games during this Year E3 so stay tuned. Since I do love Japanese games I felt the need to stay and watch conference. What I saw... was disappointment of EA level once again.
What happened to Sony after the release of PlayStation 4? Looking at previous years and comparing them to current ones I have to say it. Sony became shit after release of PS4. Not only they did not tried to build high spec PS like Microsoft with their own Xbo"x", not only they said fuck Backwards compatibility, but all their ideas were sacrificed so fast, look at Vita, Move, VR and PS Plus. They act like Money is the only thing they do need...
It's been second year in a row, where after watching all conference I have felt Sony was falling down. Showing same games once again with additional 2-4 new titles is not conference... Microsoft shown plenty of new titles, plenty of them were interesting... but Sony felt it would be great to show already announced and shown games...
Only EA was worse than Sony in my opinion.

Idea: Combine the aesthetic (though not graphical design) of the Last Night and make a solid story driven RPG that takes advantage of modern hardware. Why is this not being done? Is it not profitable? Do I not understand the industry? At the very least, why has a Kotor reboot not been teased yet?
Would appreciate it if someone could tell me if there are financial reasons that preclude this type of ambition from existing in modern game design. Honestly, we are at a point in gaming where I would prefer 3-5 ambitious, new titles over the 50-100 mediocre games we were shown this E3.

there are. games cost tens of millions of dollars to make, so reason dictates that return on investment is best achieved by doing what has shown to sell in the past.

Dark souls 3 is making my CPU run hot. Get's up to 80c after about an hour. Is this way too high and should I replace the stock cooler ? if so, is it pretty easy ?

Ok, what's the deal with the videogame companies and trying to appeal to the black community now for some reason?
No, I'm not actually a /pol/ shitposter, I'm a black guy trying to figure out what kind of skinny white guy and dyed hear dyke decided that they wanted to represent us with female versions of Samuel L. Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction.
I've never actually understood the need of representing anyone in fiction, I've played in the shoes of hundreds of non-black people, then I get to the one black guy: 'watch ur ass WHITEBOI! HAHAAA!'. Seriously, and now they are doing the same but with females with a damn 80s afro. If you actually think this is something that someone like myself would want, you are sadly mistaken and the pandering is kinda sad. I wish devs would just let their imagination do the work and not some shitty company move to win the approval of X or Y community.
