Played MH for like 10,000 hours since MH1.

World is trash if the trailer is anything to go by. Trailer makes it look like the whole focus of this game is on environments (which people already criticize about 4 and X) and luring the monster into a precast trap (a tree for a pitfall-esque trap, under a rock to shoot the rock and have it crushed, clumps of branches in the water to make it slip).

You can always just jump onto the monster, even when it's in a trap. He did not stand in front of it and try to time his attacks properly to hit the wobbling head, no, he just jumps onto it and mashes buttons. Almost everything in the trailer seemed scripted, like a long corridor the monster is chasing you through.

It's not Monster Hunter. It could be a fun casual game but it shouldn't even be called Monster Hunter. There is no winner here. Quit the console warrior shit.

Also machine guns while being able to move, waypoint tracker, open world with emptiness and long ways instead of shortcuts because shortcuts are not epic.

This is NOT Monster Hunter. You are being fed LIES.

Lie #1 - "It was made by the people who made Monster Hunter 1-4!"

Fact #1 - Here is a list of the people who made MH 1-4

As you can see, most of the people who made MH 1 left Capcom like 10 fucking years ago. Yasunori Ichinose moved on to Resident Evil.

Lie #2 - "This is a mainline game!"

Fact #2 - ONLY numbered sequels are mainline, while ALL spinoffs use random nonsensical words. Monster Hunter Dos and Tri = Mainline. Monster Hunter Freedom, Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter World = Spinoff.

This is not MH 5 because then it would be called MH 5, Capcom demands that proper sequels be numbered as can be seen by Mega Man 10 and Resident Evil 7, while spinoffs lack a number like DMC and Operation Raccoon City.

Lie #3 - "This game looks like MH!"

Fact #3 - This game looks nothing like MH. I will list off the reasons why below:

1. The monsters look like completely generic fauna in a franchise which prides itself on unique and interesting designs.
2. Segregating areas is actually a benefit for the player, so that solo hunters get a chance to sharpen against more aggressive monsters.
3. The Monster AI works because it's extremely random. This trailer showed nothing but predictable setups, almost like a movie-game.

In conclusion, this is no more MH than Hunter's Blade was. Capcom is trying to fool you with another MHO. I have been 100% correct in matters regarding Monster Hunter titles and if you're dumb enough to buy this despite my warning then you deserve everything you get. Fanbase went to shit with 3U anyway.
