What does /v/ think about the biggest charity corp sending C&D threats to game devs, music video creators,... even group funding project holders about the use of the red cross on white background symbol, or anything even remotely similar?
For those who don't know, RC only recently "realized" that people have used "their logo" as the synonym mark for health care and rescue for a century now, and are doing their best to stop it. It's the one reason so many games now use work-around symbols for HP packs.

Personally, I think this stuff goes not only against common sense, but also against freedom of speech, and artistic freedom. The red cross symbol's being used around the globe as the hospital sign, is on the insignia of medics, etc. Yet now we have one symbol that you CANNOT replicate in a media product.

While playing games on hard modes, what are some major brick walls you've faced, whether you ever overcame them or not?
Pic related; I played through ZM dozens of times, with multiple 100% runs on normal and hard mode, and then I attempted a 15% hard mode run. Kraid was a temporary road block but I managed to grind his fight out in due time, but I never was able to get past Ridley when I was younger. Between the low HP total I had and the amount of missiles I had to farm back from him after attacking, the boss fight was always too much for me to endure.

Am I the only one who doesn't even buy the new shit that comes out every year anymore? I am playing like 6 hours everyday, everyday per week and didn't run out of stuff to play even when not keeping up with the market. Old mmos/rpgs and shooters with high replay value do the job for me. Newer games feel like they are just made for 2 weeks to last then you through your 60€ shiny season pass in the trash. 1 game every 5 months is okay for me, anybody else like that here?

I don't know how they managed to make a gameplay trailer look so boring, but they did a great job at that. It wasn't even scary since every encounter in the demo the player just runs past the worm/snake thing from Prometheus.
