PS3? Sure thing. Still a waaay better investment than PS4.
Super Slim? Nope.
Unless it literally is your very only choice. Get a normal Slim model, crack it, and enjoy your best console since PS2.

There's over 80 million of them in the wild, you'll always be able to find one in your lifetime. Unlikely the prices will even go up by much, similarly to PS2.
Worst case, PS3 emulation also been making progress. Not quite ready yet, but in a few years the actual system likely won't be needed anymore.
On a related note, they already stopped production last May in Japan, but still stocks left for a while.
As for being worth it, not like there's any shortage of games for it. But lot of them were either re-released for PS4 or are available on PC. Depends on if you care for the remaining things (there's a fair deal, but given limited time to play everything you may not care enough to go there).

Then I played Bloodborne and enjoyed it immensely. Now I'm playing Nioh (I just defeated theblack samuraiand given how I'm about to fight the bad guy I think I'm near the ending); my GOTY 2017. SRWV is next, then Persona 5.
I don't regret buying a PS4 even when it was for a single game.

Holy fuck this boss fight would be way easier if it weren't for the goddamn gravestones and trees all around the arena.
I'm using the music box and molotovs and i'm still getting my ass whooped every time I get backed up in between gravestones.
I recognize the answer is to git gud and parry, but someone tell me I'm not the only one who thought this way.

the gravestones actually helped me more than hindered because he gets stuck behind them too, which givesyou pause while he breaks them to do figure out what you're doing next. You can actually go on the offensive with him too if you figure out when to juke his attacks.

It has the best dungeons and raids I've ever played in 12+ years of mmo gaming. Everything else is pretty bad. And I imagine it's struggling to stay alive.
I left because I was tired of flying bots gathering every single resource node for months without the devs bothering to ban any one of them. And daily grinding was also just stupid, my friends didn't even get to end game, and the average pug dies to even lvl 20 dungeons repeatedly.
