Alternatively, Gordon isn’t given a choice any longer, a la the ending of Half-Life 2. Either way, Gordon Freeman ends up working for the Company, as I’ll call them. At first he merely does grunt work; wiping out planets for resale to the highest bidder, just as he did with Xen in the first game. But over time, Gordon works his way up through the corporate ladder. He earns his place as a higher-up, becoming the G-Man himself.

It also could tie in as to to why the G-Man chose to spark the Black Mesa incident right as Gordon Freeman comes on shift, perfectly timed for him to be the one in the center of the incident with a hazard suit to protect him. Gordan Freeman was chosen, either by himself in the future out of a desire to keep the cycle going, or by his own employers in the future who know he’ll turn out a promising prospect to keep for themselves.

It’s definitely possible as well, in the sense that the G-Man and his employers clearly have a grasp on manipulation of time. At the end of Half-Life 2, G-Man stops time to monologue at Gordon for a bit, before taking him away for planned stasis. If the G-Man is able to stop time on a whim, then I believe it would be safe to say that he and his employers can also travel back in time as well, to validate my own idea.

An overall enjoyable experience. Easily able to sink in many hours into the game, but I strongly advise getting Splatoon 2 and Mariokart, as BoTW lasts about 100 hours of gameplay, atleast it did for me.

Out of the 3 you listed you can probably get the most time out of Factorio or Rimworld. Stardew is fun and you can probably get ~40-60 hours from a playthrough, but you'll get to a point where there isn't really anything else to do and a new playthrough isn't going to change that. Roguelikes/roguelites also offer a lot of replayability and there are a ton of good options there depending on what you're looking for.

Factorio, OpenTTD, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, Age of Empires 2, Dwarf Fortress (CPU INTENSIVE - should be ok if you run the smallest map size though), any DOSBox game you can get for free from Abandonia

As for controller games, I dunno man who the fuck plays PC games with a controller other than racing games? you can remap anything to anything else in Steam Big Picture mode though so anything can be made controller friendly

Don't bother with Stardew Valley, meme game. just emulate an older harvest moon -- better graphics and gameplay

Im too much of a pleb to get into DF, also i dont have the time since im going to college and need to work on weekends.
My setup isnt THAT bad, just a Laptop from 2014 with i5, 8Gb and integrated graphics, what bugs me the most is that i cant play cpu-heavy building games like Cities:Skylines.
Ill give Factorio a shot tho.
