Completely depends on the combat. Everything else was already great, just the combat was awful. Also i heard they gutted the CC which is never a good thing.

No, funcom can suck my balls. Only so many times they can stab their loyal userbase in the back. Combat was the same as any MMO, the only reason their game failed was because their advertising was garbage/nonexistent.

Nearly everything. MGS1 is great, MGS2 is great, MGS3 is great and MGS4 is great if you can get over one hour cutscenes.

In short, it's sense of style. I've taken to calling it stylized realism, where there is a lot of care and attention given to making certain things extremely realistic and believable, while others are just outright strange and nonsensical. Having the grounded elements lets you empathize with the characters a little better, because the world the inhabit is close to our own in some regards. But then you have the wacky weird stuff and how the characters react to it to contrast that. It's fun and a very good aesthetic.

MGS1 > MGS2 = MGS3 > MGS4
