I always liked boss fights, but for some reason there are a lot of people that hate them.
Furi was top tier, but a ton of people shat on it for being nothing but boss fights.
i think if the game is made around bosses and is executed well, there should be no issue.
Also people need to get over their irrational hatred of boss fights. They are objectively the best parts of games.

Totally. I loved this game when I played it at PAX. And I'm down for it getting delayed to add "traditional levels", I just hope those levels don't suck in comparison to the fun boss fights, which are the main draw.

Bosses are my favourite tropes in video games, having entire games based purely on such encounters is perfect for me. (although the only games in that category i can really think of is Furi and Joe & Mac)

You fuck didn't believe him when he said that Skyman had infinite quests. What he meant wasn't that the game literally had an infinite number of quests, just that they won't stop rereleasing it, and so you will play the same quests over and over and over again into infinity.

This is the problem with arena shooters, people want to be in the arena shooter crowd for the rep but they don't actually want to play them, this is why the genre is dead, they keep professing their love for the game but when literally 3/4ths of the logged in players are chatting in the lobby instead of actually playing the game (especially not playing the new gamemode the game is supposed to be based around, it's DOA.)

So I'm thinking about buying a joystick for the upcoming ac7 and probably try some other air combat games in the meanwhile. The thing is, how does it fare outside planesim/dogfighting games? I imagine it could be useful enough for racing games and fighting games to a certain degree but I'm not sure. What's /v/'s opinion on joystick in general?
