Is the Redux for Last Light as bad as the one for 2033 or can I play it instead of the original version?
This was "free" from the GOG sale (minimum purchase 10 dollar), and I just installed and played a bit. Up to the observatory section. What did /v/ think of this? I think it's pretty cool so far.

They're only scary if you make them scary, I play with the lights off at night and I'm only really scared by the hypothetical things. Nobody really does scream and jump out of their chair. I get shook a little bit, but thats it.
Why is this allowed?
>yfw videogames are dead

Just Western AAA games are dead, not the whole industry.

Now it's understandable to be skepticle after Mercury Steams shitty Castlevania games, but keep this in mind regarding Samus Returns:
>Directed and level design by Takehiko Hosokawa, who did the level design for Zero Mission and Fusion
>Produced by Yoshio Sakamoto, who has overseen every Metroid besides II
>Soundtrack by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano, who did the soundtracks for previous Metroid games
>General development and design is by people over at Nintendo EPD
It has been confirmed that Mercury Steam are pretty much nothing but code monkeys for this game, as well as suggesting SOME creative ideas that NINTENDO refine and work with.
This is going to be a fantastic, fantastic game that Metroid fans have been wanting for 13 years.
>inb4 that faggot posts the webm of the Metroid fight with the optional melee attack and calls it "forced"
now
Who?
does the mayor of new donk have badonkadonk?
Oh, I played that game! She asks you to find a bunch of guys playing musical instruments, but the you find them all and she commands you to fix the power instead. It was the easiest 7 moons ever.

Why did we let this happen instead of telling nintendo to fuck off? No matter how "cheap" this is doesn't make it okay.
Especially since they still don't have dedicated servers and only as handfull of games use online vs Xbone and PS4 which have hundreds of multiplayer games.
also
>You lose the game of the month once the next month is here
>Retro games only
>>380898515
I'm not buying the switch because of the paid online but to be fair to them they've changed the game of the month model to a better system. Closer to what Playstation does.
>Nintendo's plans for retro games have also changed. No longer will subscribers be limited to a single game per month - instead, those who pay into Nintendo Switch Online will be granted an all-you-can-play buffet. As the company told Kotaku, "Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have ongoing access to a library of classic games with added online play. Users can play as many of the games as they want, as often as they like, as long as they have an active subscription."

>still limited to retro games only
They mind as well scrap the idea and come up with something else. Like a loyalty program or somethingan ACTUAL loyalty program
>>380899076
To be honest I like the idea of a collection of retro games I can play online multiplayer with.
