I love this place.
The games are really good there, but it's extremely loud inside.

Man, sucks there's no locations in Europe.
When I lived in Japan, that shit was amazing.
Would play Groove Coaster 'till my Yen ran out.
>As mentioned, we had to use Alphacool's Eiszeit Chiller 2000 to achieve usable overclocking results. More conventional thermal solutions just wouldn't cut it. All-in-ones like Corsair's H100i and Enermax's LiqTech 240 hit their limits at stock frequencies under Prime95. The custom loop threw in the towel at 4.6 GHz.
>A Tcore of up to 65°C and a heat spreader temperature of approximately 24°C make for a difference of more than 40°C. That's at 230W. Once the 300W line is crossed, even the Alphacool Eiszeit Chiller 2000 taps out. This isn’t even difficult to do: with a Core i9-7900X running at 4.6 or 4.7 GHz, using the voltages needed to get there, even simple rendering applications trigger those levels. The highest power consumption numbers we saw were just north of 300W, which had the CPU hitting its 100°C thermal limit consistently. An emergency shutdown followed soon after.
>At a Vcore of 1.4V, the system stayed stable for 10 benchmark runs. Intel's Core i9-7900X consumed an average of 261W, while individual peaks jumped as high as 293W. A test at 4.8 GHz using 20 instances of a year-long shading computation for a rooftop photovoltaic array, including profit calculation, pushed power consumption all the way to 335W. The motherboard shut down after we started Prime95 without limiting AVX. The last recorded value was 364W.
>CLC barely make it at stock clocks, imagine with dust
>custom loops shit out barely above stock
>have to use a $900 cryogenic cooler to overclock
>cooler uses 600w on its own to run the air compressor
>had fans pointing at the motherboard because the VRMs started pulling 230 amps
>still hit tmax and shut down
>364w used by the socket alone
What the fuck is Intel doing. This is just the 10 core, just imagine how nuclear the 18 core will get.
>AMD makes comparable eight core that uses less than 100 watts
>I know, we'll make a ten core that uses twice the power at 10% higher frequencies and price it thrice as high!
>>381364160
It was either do that or *gasp* drop their prices
We know intel would rather kill themselves than do the latter

opinions on this series?
Fun and inventive for its time
>>381364593
it's a fun game
100%'d the second game few days ago.
It's a fun game and fairly short, only took 11 hours to get all the monkeys.
The only issues I had with it was that there were pointless filler gadgets, like Water Cannon and Electro Magnet, that only served to slow the game down. That and the jumping physics being just generally terrible.
Overall I had a fun time, though.
