I can forgive it since Bungie was under a lot of pressure from Microsoft. A lot more content than just that had to be cut. I think maybe half the game? I may be wrong about that though. All things considered it turned out great.

I played as a cowardly vault dweller from vault 101 that traveled to the mojave to escape the ass-backwardness of the capital wasteland after his dad sacrificed himself.
Feeling defeated and guilty over leaving the capital wasteland to an unknown fate, he became a chem addict and a drunkard. He works as an infrequent courier to earn caps to constantly buy more chems and booze.
His aim is sluggish but he's got charm coming out of his ass so he tries to talk his way out of problems.

There's not much wiggle room for TTW if you want main quests

Probably due to the initially awkward controls compared to the standardized control scheme for third person shooters. It's a shame since JFG is genuinely great when you get a hang of it.
