I'm so confused. Pharah doesn't have a shotgun and I don't even know what a Gunboats is. Anyway, I play a pretty complex Pharah. I always stay mobile and press shift. I'll tap space to make sure I hover in the air longer instead of just burning it all up and dropping. I also do something pretty advanced; instead of shooting where the enemies are, I shoot at where I think they'll be by the time the rocket arrives! Anyway, practice some of those playstyle tips. It's a lot to take in, but Pharah is more than just pressing Q!

I like it with friends. Its not for everyone though its THE epitome of Early Access Zombie Craftin' Survival Open World.
End-game is pretty much just Mini-bikes and building the best base to survive feral zombies so if you didn't like it on PS4 past day-35 then you won't get much out of the PC version.
Also as the other anon said the new patch is coming out sometime in the next week or so and thats usually the only/best time to pick up the game again.

New patch is out, you have to opt into it through steam. You can google it, it's easy and takes two seconds.

I love it. But there is zero end game content. There was a forum post that basically describes the game's biggest failing, and I'll paraphrase:

"The game basically starts off hard and only gets easier and easier. You start off having to worry about bleeding to death, and then you get bandages and first aid kits. You worry about infections, then you stock up on anti-biotics. Starving/food and farms; thist/water and tea, fighting/guns and ammo, mining/tools and mines, horde nights/arenas. Essentially, you overcome all the trials that are put before you and there is nothing left to challenge you once you have all your bases covered.

So, if you can play and enjoy the ride, and know how to entertain yourself whether that means doing stuff when you've got the game licked or starting over, then you're solid.

Me? I like to mod it. The modding community is small but solid, and the modders really bring some awesome crap to the table. I've gotten a thousand hours out of it, so I'm biased, but your milage may vary.

Okay.

I think it looks great. It's weird and different, but in ways that actually look fun, with a good balance of classic-ish 3D Mario and new and interesting mechanics.
