What the heck is going on here?!
I've never played it and as an German it's almost impossible to get to this game except for import from the US per credit card (which I didn't have) or pirating. Why Bethesda didn't put that on the US PSN store? I thought this is an widely loved classic and this is still the only game on my list of "Classics you must play" which I didn't play. I don't want to pirate it because of the extreme laws in Germany.
I have over 500 hours in HOI 3 and I've been thinking on buying HOI 4 , it is any good ? It's as complex as HOI 3 or a little more simple ?

Why was it so comfy? And why did Back To Nature feel so bloated and like such a chore to play?
>>381693103
Because you played it first.
I played BtN first and loved it but could never get into 64.
> Dissing Back to Nature
You shut your whore mouth, you LGBTQIA+++ slut
It's because farming actually is a chore. All that hard manual labor adds up to the feeling of accomplishment once you earn enough money to buy shit like cows.
Because you were a loser who got N64 instead of PS as a kid.
As awful as everything is, I just want to say that I'm extremely grateful for the fact that I can look up any videogame character and find hundreds high quality porn images in a matter of seconds. I guess the internet ain't all that bad.

It's horrible compared to Diablo III
It's fun enough but you'll hit mapworks and get burned out unless you're an autist who enjoys pressing their teleport forward fill screen with AoE for hours and hours, backtracking to pick up your maps and seeing if a single fucking worthwhile loot dropped in the whole map. protip: none did, enjoy your nth pair of Wanderlust slippers

Has the rise of abundant guides and easier access to content ruined games? My thoughts keep returning to vanilla WoW and I've arrived at the conclusion the game was such a magical adventure because no one knew what they were doing, standing on the edge of the unknown always. Not just the world but gameplay wise and mechanically. All modern games want to hold you hand, give you your participation trophy, is eager to ferry you to endgame content, and wants to be so accessible as to turn no one away.
Am I wrong for thinking this?
I feel like guides have been abundant since 2000.
Guides are everywhere since the 90's, the walkthrough scene has always been a really strong one.

I agree that it did really make the world feel alive and special, and when I played the game back in vanilla it really did feel like anything could happen, my imagination sparking with possibilities. This was only because I didn't really understand the game though. After having dedicated thousands of hours, you come to realize that the world isn't as fantastical as you imagined. This is true for all versions of WoW, once thoroughly explored.
What do you think about Isabelle from Animal Crossing?

She's a good doggie
Why are there no games where you play an explorer who finds the treasure through non-violent means like puzzle solving?
It's always "kill 100000000 enemies and the bad guys still beat you to the treasure" like in Uncharted or Tomb Raider.
