>"Having once made the statement above, I have declined all opportunities to enlarge upon it or defend it. That seemed to be a fool's errand, especially given the volume of messages I receive urging me to play this game or that and recant the error of my ways. Nevertheless, I remain convinced that in principle, video games cannot be art. Perhaps it is foolish of me to say "never," because never, as Akira Kurosawa informs us, is a long, long time. Let me just say that no video gamer now living will survive long enough to experience the medium as an art form."
Did Hideo "70% of my body is made of movies" Kojima have a point?

People who say this about the Tanker chapter are insane. The Plant chapter looks just as cool, but has more bosses and better patrol routes. They make a perfect whole.
Meanwhile Camp Omega is more densely packed and well-designed than any other level in MGSV.
Kojima, please finish your game because we delayed two times
>Sure, first let me add 5 mother bases, a dog, high scan model, boob physics, hollywood voice acting, mother base missions and animal protection simulator
>oh and please don't forget hipster music to play in the opening and make sure to show the cassette tape so I'll look a hype progressive retro person :)
>>382325502
>The Plant chapter looks just as cool, but has more bosses and better patrol routes.
No. Fuck off.
But yeah, GZ is all around better "Metal Gear game" than TPP. And originally it was meant to be the prologue chapter of TPP (well, it still is), just like Tanker's the prologue of MGS2. Thank Jewnami for pushing some mid-development milestone ""tests"" on an unfinished product.
>>382325716
>Kojima decides to make MGS2 a insecure simulator
>The only part of the game is the 30 min introduction sequence
>Kojima decide to spend 3 years making an engine to make his ''master piece'' TPP
Sure everything is Konami's fault.

I haven't been playing Halo since 4 (and I never finished the campaign). Did Chief ever end up reuniting with his Sangheili BFF?
>>382325258
Halo 2 was good but, the ending sucked
During the ending cutscene of 5.
>>382325258
>Arby n the Chief didn't float off into deep space together, never to be seen by the UNSC again
>no games taking place in completely new exotic locations, totally cut off from the humans and covenant races
>no games spent just being wandering badasses, killing whatever shit the universe sends your way
I think 30fps actually benefits this game. The way it's animated, with a lot of smears and GOOD motion blur, makes it look and feel like playing a cartoon. It's really neat. A 60fps framerate would completely destroy that.
All memes aside, the framerate honestly is cinematic.
>>382325219

This is cute bait that only makes me a bit angry on the inside. It's late, but I hope you get lots of you's anon.

'cinematic 30fps' is a fucking meme.
>ask yourself why games don't run at 24fps like films
>realise that 24fps would be stuttering and almost unplayable
>now realise that the thing you're defending is 6fps away from being unplayable

Is using cheap mechanics to win a game a legitimate strategy?
>>382324779
Yes
cheap mechanics is legitimate strategy. Deal with it.
>>382324779
whats a cheap mechanic?
the only thing there could be is something thats unbalanced, and if its unbalanced you would be dumb not to use it.
its the developers fault for not fixing it.

Is there anything else like it at all?
Because I played the shit out of it, enough to get all the achievements at least and I want more, but I don't think the dev has any plan to add more content.
