More like needlessly convoluted combat. Tried playing the game for at least two hours and couldn't grasp what the fuck I was supposed to be doing in combat for the life of me. I think mastering astrophysics has an easier learning curve than this shit.

Also, the story is shit, or so I hear. I never got that far because the game is balls to the wall grindy and super difficult.

You know the type I'm talking about. At least once in everyone's vidya career something peculiar has happened that a story can be made out of. Whether it was something weird happening, or an unexpected situation arising in a game, post all your best stories here.

I'll start; I suck at greentext though so I'm just gonna type it normally. Some of you may have heard of this already, but I stopped talking about it on here a while ago, and the ending hasn't been seen yet. My story takes place in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which (believe it or not) is my favorite RPG of all time. I've put almost 3,000 hours into it. My first two characters were a sword and board and a mage, both Bretons, so for my true "main" character I decided to combine their playstyles and their character names to form my favorite RPG character I've made: a Breton battlemage named Nickies. With Nickies, I basically 100% completed the game, to my knowledge (I may have missed some things without realizing it). My pastime became making myself as OP as possible, taking full advantage of the quirks in Oblivion's spellmaking and enchanting systems to do so. When it was all said and done, I had a sword that could 3 hit a Minotaur Lord and spells that could 1 hit a group of them if set up right. Note that since I'm playing on a X360, this was actually meaningful. I absolutely loved how unstoppable I was in that game.

As you can imagine, eventually it got boring. I was on the verge of retiring the save when I came across a tutorial for a glitch online. It talked about how you can clone yourself using the Skull of Corruption, Vaermina's Daedric artifact, and then make the clone permanent. This was perfect for me. I could create an opponent as strong as I was... Finally, I could have a challenge. I immediately set about performing the glitch, and succeeded. This is where things got ... strange.

Pt. 2

The clone started doing things I had never seen an Oblivion character do. Wait! No, I'm going down the creepypasta "lol so sp00ky" route, just hear me out. These were simply strange AI behaviors. For example, he would randomly switch between armor sets seemingly on whim, as I had a shit ton of gear on me at all times (and fyi he did it too frequently for it to be a durability issue). He would also switch between faction dialogue in random sets: for example, one minute he would say all Dark Brotherhood dialogue like "Why Brother, Why?" and the next he'd be saying Blades shit like "I'm sworn to die, are you?"

While challenging, I was eventually able to overpower and kill the clone using the garrison of the Imperial City, although it was costly for the civilian population. This first clone was just a test run, though. Now it was time for the real thing. This time I purposefully stocked up on all the best shit I could carry and performed the glitch again. This time, after a brief fight, the clone used an invisibility spell. I hunted him down all throughout the Bruma countryside, though it was hard at times because he wore Shrouded Armor and my Ring of Khajiiti (which gave him a Chameleon effect). It was at this time that my XBL friends gave the clone a name that stuck: due to being generally evil and preferring darker-colored equipment, he was dubbed "Nickies Black." Yes, that's referencing what you think it is.

Pt. 3

I hunted Black down for a week of real-time gaming sessions every night. I had him on the ropes a few times, but he always used an Invis spell and ran whenever the going got tough. Alarmingly, he was not only steadily equipping better gear as time went on, but he was also slowly starting to use my better spells. Worse of all, he put on my Mundane Ring (brought Breton Magic Resistance up to 100%), nullifying my possible DPS output on him in the form of Magic. Eventually, the worse possible scenario happened. Black equipped my 100% Damage Reflect loadout, while still keeping on the Mundane Ring. Not. Good. I could barely even damage him now (I was pretty shit with bows and poisons). My main hope came from the Guards in cities, whose Silver Arrows could still hurt him, but barely. I tried bringing him through every city in the game. My hope was that eventually the sheer number of arrows would overwhelm his ability to heal himself. At Skingrad, I was proven right. The guards gangraped him to such an extent that he actually died. Satisfied, I left. When I returned to Skingrad a few weeks later, I found the city desolate, and Nickies Black alive and well. He fucking RESPAWNS.

Anvil was the last city still alive, and it failed to kill him. I had no major strongholds left. I even tried Cloud Ruler Temple, but the Blades didn't do shit to him. I guess that's why they were all dead in Skyrim. At this point I'd be surprised if even 10% of Unique NPCs were still alive in my save. I had to kill Black somehow. I had to prevent him from respawning, and kill him personally.

So, /v/, what do you hope to see from the inevitable Mario party 11? I hope they get rid of that fucking car and go back to more of the old style. I'd love to see it get simplified again. The past 3 games have just been a 30 minute long rng to determine who wins because it took the casual elements a bit too far. It should be casual and luck-based but I'd love to actually feel like my choices male a different. What do YOU think?

What is the best F2PMMO on the market right now? I'm looking for the traditional experience of grinding content with a tight guild, raid, dailies, all that terrible stuff. Aion seems like the most interesting prospect.I played it a little a few years ago and was kind of impressed but I never hear anyone talk about it.
