I've been playing Johnny Cage since arcades were a thing, green is my favorite color so I've always liked Jade and it doesn't hurt that she has a shadow kick too. My favorite ninja is Reptile.

Keep the style stuff but distill it to two and offer tag team options. I feel like the sidekick stuff in Injustice is NRS playing around with assists. Also I want Stryker back but I'd accept new characters + the few 3D ones that didn't suck.

Less focus on kombat kids or family issues, If we're getting Dark Raiden vs Emperor Kang as the main story mode, don't fuck it up, maybe make Fujin or Ashrah as the new "Raiden" or shit like that.
As for gameplay, get rid of the variants and fasten up a bit the gameplay.

I played 4A immediately after P5 and it floored me how terrible P5 was in comparison. The 4A team is probably making SMTV right now but they should be put on P6 instead now that Hashino is gone.

The graphics have aged terribly and they all have this depressing feel to it
The controls are wonky, especially the fucking mounts, and this applies double to the sequels
Even the music is overrated, sure there's standout gems like Aquatic Ambience but a good majority of the soundtrack is generic jungle bongo themes.

Unironically Pokken Tournament.

The game teaches fundamentals so well, and it has an amazing community to boot. Move on to Skullgirls or Guilty Gear afterwards.
