Which does /v/ prefer and why? I'm looking into buying a retro console and settled on one of these two. One big turn off is that a lot of the games I want for the N64 have already been remade for other systems (which I have).

>Retro

Most of the good first party games from both systems like Zelda, Mario, and Metroid have been ported and those are the definitive version of the games. The two Resident Evil games also have definitive ports now.
I'd say GameCube because it has a lot of niche stuff like killer7, Eternal Darkness, Baten Kaitos, Biller Hatcher and Skies of Arcadia. I'm also pretty sure that Super Mario Sunshine is locked away on the GameCube still to this day.

Gamecube has a great library and its controller was at least designed for humanoid aliens.
Why do anti-Nintendo fans can't handle the fact that Breath of the Wild is the best game ever created?
>OPEN
>WORLD
>TRASH
Automatically makes it a 0/10

Oddysey hasn't even came out yet at it already looks miles better than Skyrim Lite

It's because you keep shitposting and spamming, it could be the best game ever and not the piece of shit you keep shilling, and I still wouldn't give two shits.
You're basically /pol/ for video game at this point.
Except you actually are children.
Describe your ideal video game.
Ape Escape 4
Ape Escape 5
Ape Escape 6
What are the best mods to fix the gameplay?
>>383625795
Gameplay is perfectly fine, best gameplay out of all of them but the UI is designed for console plebs so install SKYUI and of course USLEEP and there you go, [spoilerenjoyspoiler]
uninstall.exe is pretty great
was this the game that started the chest high wall cover mechanic?
>>383625792
I dunno
what, kill.switch? I think so
What gaem?
Are you guys excited for Samus Returns?

rip everyone who tried to preorder from GAME UK today
fucking useless

>>383625713
no, looks shitty. tell me when prime 4 comes out, which will probably be 5 years from now because they just started development 2 months ago.
>>383625713
Yup, but I don't have a 3DS so I don't know what to do. I'm just happy the series is alive.
Games only you played

>LoM
>Played it so much the disc fractured
Do you even Niche Square game?
>>383625554
Legend of Mana is not obscure, I played this a lot. Try again.
This is soon to happen.
What will you do?
Are you expecting it?
Do you want it?
When do you think it will happen?
Are you ready?
>industry that literally makes more money than Hollywood
>crashing
There will never be a systemic collapse of any modern industry, they won't allow it, they will always prop it up
>>383625545
>soon to happen
/v/ has literally been saying this for the last ten years.
There's no impending crash and there never will be. The video game industry has reached a point where that scenario is literally impossible, no matter how utterly shitty the quality of the products are or how many commercial failures take place.

I'm thinking about completing 100% MGSV, I'd like to hear opinions about doing so.
What are the biggest obstacles?
Any tips or recommendations?
How long can it take?
I have already completed all main missions with S Rank, and I have also completed all the tedious side ops. However, I haven't completed all mission tasks, captured all animals, got all collectables, etc.
Will trying to platinum this game take away the fun? I have already played over 100 hours.
Also, are there any glitches with the mission tasks that have to do with listening to conversations? I have heard people complaining about how these conversations won't simply trigger
Have fun trying to find and capture a Leopard Tortoise.

Is it that rare? Actually I've never seen any turtles in this game, any suggested location?
What is your favorite mecha / film noir video game /v/?
How would a Big O game work?
>>383625878
Mostly play as a third person shooter with Big O segments that everyone would hate with a completely different ending from the anime
It'd be shit
>>383625878
Would have to be split between three modes. LA Noire-styled investigation, GTA-styled open world, and War of the Monsters-styled mech battles
Why do you feel personally attacked when someone likes something you don't?
Why do you want products you dislike to fail?
I don't. I want products to fail when they are grimy and anti-consumer.
because it's funny when people type angry posts they are funny
I actually really enjoyed this game
DUDE
I did too. I wish there were more period piece video games.

YOU'RE FULL OF SHITM OP.
THE TRUTH IS YOU HATED THAT BITCH OF A GAME.
YOU TOOK IT AND DRAGGED IT OUT OF THE CONSOLE AND TOOK IT OUT TO GARAGE. IT SPARKLED AND YOU SMASHED IT IN WITH A SOCKET WRENCH.
AND THEN YOU STOMPED IT, YOU STOMPED IT BECAUSE IT WAS A PIECE OF JUNK AND IT PLAYED LIKE SHIT.
YOU STOMPED IT FOR ALL THE GAME OVERS YOU HAD TO TAKE.
YOU STOMPED IT BECAUSE YOU'RE SUCH A WEAK FUCKING FAGGOT OP, AND YOU WANTED TO ERASE ALL MEMORY OF IT.
GO ON, TRY TO DENY IT.
what's this, /v/?
Do you have an NGE figuring Y/N

I actually thought her usefulness dropped pretty hard near the end of the game.
I haven't played any of the banjo games--can anyone convince me to? They seemed like basic collectathon games, but is there more to it than that? I like platforming, so there's that, I guess.
>>383624410
>but is there more to it than that?________________No.__________________
>>383624410
It's a solid (but clearly very early) 3D platformer/collectathon. Excellent music, beautiful art direction, charming characters, and a fair challenge if you wanna 100% the game. Certainly one of my favorites.
>>383624628
Talking about Banjo Kazooie specifically. Tooie wasn't my thing.
