2 and Off the Record are also good

2 improves on almost everything from the first gameplay wise
but it lacks the charm, characters, psychopaths, stores, all feel like afterthoughts or rehashes for the most part
also the combo weapons mean less emphasis on finding random shit to use as a weapon, and those things are just reused from the first
there's some stuff like the big purple dildo from the sex shop, but not enough because it's not the point of the game anymore
still a very worthy sequel though
