>only has a regular, a boss, and a final boss theme
Shitty as fuck. I love jrpgs that offer different battle themes. Things like earthbound/mother 3 where it's enemy dependent is cool. In breath of fire IV it also dud this cool thing where if you were on the more eastern inspired continentbthe battle themes were more eastern sounding and the western continent had more western inspired music.

What do you lads think of emerging genre of movie games like heavy rain and until dawn etc?
>inb4 I like the uncharted series
facial animations aren't there yet for it to work properly
>>383985405
I have no problem with them, although I do feel $60 in most, if not all, cases is way too much for them.
>>383985405
I love them. Had a blast playing beyond 2 souls with a buddy. There is no reason to be mad the cinematic games exist
Should video game reviewers be good at video games?
She's got a stronger jaw than 90% of /v/

In what ways did Catherine affect your views on marriage and relationships?
It affected me in a way that I now want a Katherine gf to marry and have a family.
It made me wary of marriages and question why i was brought up to believe marriage was my end goal.
>>383985110
it made me realize marriage is a fucking meme
There's comedy books, and comedy films, but I feel like "Comedy" doesn't define a games mechanics like it does for books or movies. It would be like saying "Atmospheric" is a genre; it's something that's there, but it doesn't define the game's identity.
No, comedy is not a video game genre.
A game can be comedic, but there's no such thing as a game where the comedy is the main game mechanic.
You can have stuff like Day of the Tentacle, which is comedic, but is a point and click game. Or Earthbound, which is comedic, but is an RPG. Etc.
adventure games were the closet thing seeing they had non-existent gameplay and were basically just cartoons
By your view that would mean comedy books are just joke books and comedy films are just taped stand up comic routines. Comedy books and movies have actually stories, characters, conflict, and action ALONG with a lot of jokes.
Saints Row The Third would be a good example, no game tries to be a "comedy only" game because comedy isn't really a genre.
>play the game for a couple of hours
>"hm, don't think I like it, guys"
>"no wonder, you've only played it for a couple of hours!"
>play the game for 16 hours and finish it
>"well, it still wasn't fun, guys"
>"you've spent 40 hours on the game and are now telling us you didn't like?!"
>>383984465
Let yourself tell you when to stop playing.
Stop playing.
>>383984465

What game did they make you play, Akko?
Also you should know better than to trust Dianna.
PC gaming in a bit of a slump right now?
The only game that I play is Overwatch and the only games I'm semi-excited for are the same routine Ubisoft games coming out (Far cry 5, AC: Origins)...
There's no good MMORPG out or coming out
There's no good Battlefield to look forward to
There's no good Valve game coming out
There's no good Elder's Scroll game coming out (This one is huge to me. Skyrim is ancient and they're probably not even working on ES:6. Fuck my life).
What the heck are you guys playing or looking forward to on PC?
Bannerlord

Okami, it's just wonderful.
I just finished this and holy fuck this game was surprisingly awesome
why the fuck do critics hate it?
Werehog sucked.
The werehog bits are terrible and bring the fun to a screeching halt. People want to go fast
>>383983320
Werehog.
That said, he's surprisingly fun once you max it up, so I really think having to level him up was a terrible mistake from SEGA's part to appral to the japanese market
Is Bloodborne the best From Software game?

Have we regressed to the point where slavery is okay again?
>>383982212
Funny how they single out Sony for shit that happens at Foxconn.
Foxcon also happens to make motherboards and other shit fro microsoft, nintendo and many other companies. Not sure why the article feels the need to focus on Sony.
>>383982212
Slavery never stopped, we still use it as the backbone of our society
It's just outsourced to other, shittier countries now (except for seasonal agricultural work e.g. harvesting peaches and strawberries and other fruits that can't be harvested by machines)
>>383982212
There is more slavery in the world at this moment than there ever was at any point in the past
