They should have just introduced "official" support for texture packs, and included their own one that radically changed the style to something good disguised as a way to get the ball rolling, then slowly keep using it in official material until it's accepted as the official textures.

Minecraft is still shit though, so I really don't care regardless.

Low-spec makes your game look bad and limits what kind of games you can make. Naturally most will prefer the strongest platforms.

its the new console on the block. So it still needs to move units and then the supply shortage also working against that just makes everything else a safer bet to put your game on since more people own those consoles instead.

As of now at least shit aint really any sort of personally and just simply businessmen in that people want to get the most out of their work with the least amount of work ,since porting takes time and money and what not, even if they were to decide to make their game multi plat.

So unless it were to need switch spefic hardware/gimmicks to get what they want to happen in their game done. There really is no other reason to make much shit for it aside from getting experience with it as the install base grows in which then one would use said experience to then make decent shit for it.
