What do people not like about 3?
I'm thinking about finally getting it next sale.

I bought a AoE II a few years ago. Racked up about 500 hours playing against computers with my friend. Haven't touched any of the campaigns. Am I missing out?

the weirdest thing about all that is that Blizzard has such a huge hard on for phasing technology at that time, but used it terribly. It was the perfect chance to show zones actually improving after questing through them.

It's exactly the same physics as the third game.
They just backported the refined version through the other two because it would have been wierd to adjust to different jumping physics in each game.
Unfortunatly they didn't change the levels at all to compensate so it's a little tougher to play.
Try gitting good, or alternatively just play the third game because it's exactly the same.

60€ for a graphically updated version of a 20 year old game with no improvement on the old controls and no new content is too asking much, especially now that I could just download the original ps1 version and play it on my phone/computer with a controller for free

That sucks bruh. I've beaten it over 100 times and got all the achievements for PS3 and xbox. They removed the most difficult achievement thats on xbox where u have to beat it without gold.

Keep at it. It took me forever to beat hell but I started a new game with the Chinese tutorial guy you unlock and beat it again. So much easier when the pressure is off.
