What are some games with a satisfying sense of progression? I like the concept of starting out weak and becoming ridiculously strong by the end of the game. It doesn't even have to be physical strength or firepower, either, it could just be power, influence or wealth in the game world that you had none of in the beginning.

It was very fun, the online was heavily weighted toward the host because the netcode was so bad.
Basically, it had gratuitous violence and 14 year old me loved it a lot.
The series managed to look worse with each sequel, I don't know how you fuck up blood, but they started rendering blood with the engine instead of splattering it on the camera.

It's a great game OP, I played it for the first time in November (well the ultimate edition on windows 10) and beat it in one day.

Do you think anyone's fucked a bug? I mean surely someone has. Dudes that is, women have it easy since they can just cram a handful in.
