The game was bare bones from the start, once you've played for 10 or so hours you've basically done everything, the DLC taking a stupid amount of time to release isn't helping.

Tbh I'm still probably going to be playing off and on for another 5 years even if the update never releases. I like fucking around on hybrid demo and Medieval Mode too much to quit.

Also the update literally wouldn't be tonight because the time at which they release updates is usually tuesday to thursday, and it's currently sunday in Seattle. Valve doesn't release tf2 major updates on weekends or fridays

Yes, you should, it will teach you all main mechanics and low-level dnd is still worth experiencing. But play in either a modded trilogy version or EE, base BG1 sucks dicks.

As for a class, i recommend a caster of some sorts, melee classes in BG are really not that fun unless you dual them.

First one is more open world, but the start can be a little bit rough, because low level D&D isn't really that much fun, at least when you play a mage, or monk. I would advise to play a fighter on your first playthrough. And yes, start with Baldur's Gate 1.

5 is the closest to 1 and 2, 3 is good not as good as 1 and 2, 4 is the worst one of them all only play if you really love the series.

i tried to get into 3. personally i thought it was weird, but to my own fault i never gave it a chance because i didn't put the time into it

people consider 4 to be trash, but i enjoyed it

never played 5, but i heard it was really good

sadly that's as far as suikoden goes, i wouldn't bother with the spinoff games

accidentally finished 4 early too that was neat. characters turned into drawings. what made it so bad was just the engine i guess. it was fine
3 was just too slow for being such a big game with multiple protags

Dark Souls, Ys, Panzer Dragoon, Growlanser, Drakengard and Shining Force aren't JRPGs.
