Honestly, I have done runs with all factions, and still find NCR to be the one that's most fleshed out quest and story wise.

Could a weapon like this, a gunblade, actually be made practicable in real life? Effectiveness aside (swords in 2017 and all).
Could you not smith something like this and have it actually work? Fight with it like a sword with some shots inbetween?

You could, and people have made stuff like that. It just has never actually worked well, since really just end up with a super heavy pistol and a poorly balanced sword. Better to just carry one of each instead.
Melee-gun hybrids are nothing new really. Bayonets (basically rifle-spears) have been extremely common in armies basically since rifles became a thing.

Well bayonets are mostly gun with a sharp end to make it like a spear.
I'm talking more of weapons that are mostly sword with a rifle running alongside it I guess, but yeah I see what you mean, it would probably not be good enough at either job it tries to do.

Has anyone else had the problem of the PS2 controller's left analog stick slowing your character down if you point it around the 2-3 o'clock position? Anytime I try to play any game, this happens, and I have tried 2 different controllers, on 2 different consoles. Its starting to be a lost cause on playing games because if I need to make any sudden movements in game, it either won't read or slows it down to a crawl. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I am planning on just buying a new one.

Probably just your controller due to wear, mine has it's own set of issues like some of the shoulder buttons not working and one button having delayed input. I just got a mint condition ps1 dualshock for free so luckily all of that is solved.

Maybe? I was thinking it might be that because it didn't do it the first time I bought the second controller, as it was fresh and crisp. But now its doing the same thing on 2 of my controllers in the exact same space.

Why are they playing this so safe? The setting is what upsets me the most, American Western Front where the only events of importance were Normandy and the Liberation of Paris. Why do they not bother to try something different and see if it works like Advanced Warfare did?

Why do so many space games struggle with making it so that there's more than one ship size worth using?
Either the inability for fighters to scratch cruisers makes only cruisers worth using, or a swarm of fighters can out-gun a cruiser of equal value while also being able to dodge shots.
It's not exactly a hard problem to solve.
Games can balance fighters in one of four ways:
>fighters have DPS appropriate to their size, and are easy to kill, and cheap
>the only point of fighters being in the game is so you can still make units when you can't afford something big
>fighters have disproportionately high DPS, are easy to kill, and cheap
>fighter swarms always win against equal value fleets, but with heavy losses
>fighters have DPS appropriate to their size, and are hard to kill
>fighters are nothing but a nuisance, distracting the AI of larger ships to break their formation
>fighters have disproportionately high DPS, are hard to kill, but expensive
>this automatically makes the game 10x better, and encourages diverse fleets
Unfortunately I don't know any unmodded games that have the fourth one.
