Why did the journos like it so much?
It had pretty great atmosphere and a novel idea (It looks like an horror game but surprise! It's not)
A way more salient question to me is why did /v/ care that the journos liked it?

>It looks like an horror game but surprise! It's not
Neat twist.
Has absolutely no value after knowing the twist.
They liked it because lesbos.
Altmer are the true heroes of Elderscrolls.
Wrong
Dark elves and wood elves are fine but high elves are complete shit, thalmor or not. How can they be the masters of magic if they have the biggest weaknesses to destruction magic?

>Battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are fun and engaging; even though Rex auto-attacks, managing your positioning, blades, and arts is satisfying when you combo them just right. The most exciting moments came as my party gauge filled up and I began chaining attacks together. Stringing together attacks proved most satisfying as I churned through several lengthy battles.

>>389084475
I want to fuck a boy
>>389084475
You will only be able to play against Rev 2 owners if they switch which version they're playing in the options, and few would likely be willing to do such just because they're so familiar to what they've been playing
>>389084475
No. Don't get deluxe version. Also, assuming you're buying from steam, Rev 2 + Rev 1's DLC characters should come out to $44 bucks, which is around the same as the Rev 1 deluxe.
You won't be able to play with Rev 2 owners without Rev 2 unless they choose to play Rev 1, so I dunno if you'll even find anyone online.

Lurk moar newfag.
Haven't played a Cawadooty since Blops 1, I used to rent them just for the story then take them back.
Is Infinite warfare worth say $30 just for the story alone? I'm not to worn out on the series like most people.
Obviously everybody is in a different financial situation. I always do the same thing as you used to do. Is there a reason you aren't going to be renting and returning this one? I live right down the street from the rental place so I'm always walking over there.
I really liked the campaign, kind of got goofy near the end in terms of character competence but I really liked your "multicultural" crew you planet hopped with and the space vista's were something else. Had some decent situation and enemy variety for a COD game that offered more variety than usual (even if it is, make no mistake, an explosion hallway) and possibly the smoothest moment to moment gameplay in the series. Also has optional ship combat side missions.
If you haven't played Black Ops 3 its very interesting and I would recommend it. It's basically a surreal psychological horror story told out of order, with bizzare references to franchise fatigue. I'm surprised they got away with being so adventurous in a billion dollar AAA franchise. Of course I read something like 5% of users complete the campaign so that's probably why.

Ethan is the best side character since Modern Warfare saga and the story is great
So, in the beginning of the game you're told how important Byrgenwerth is, being the birthplace of all the knowledge regarding The Great Ones, and how a schism between two of its scholars ended up being the foundation of the Healing Church.
Then you actually get to Byrgenwerth and... it's a 20 min level with a shitty boss fight (Rom). I mean, even Castle Cainhurst, and optional area, is more interesting, more explorable, and has a better boss than this level, which was supposed to be a "big deal".
Not shitting on Bloodborne, I love it, but this was just lame. I mean, in Dark Souls 3, trying to get to Aldritch, you fight your way into the Cathedral of The Deep for a while, before unlocking any form of shortcut. Byrgenwerth in comparison seems... lacking.
So, what's your favorite level design in BloodBorne? Research Hall for me in the DLC, fuck Nightmare of Mensis
I love Rom
>>389556609
yes, indeed
>>389555601
Honestly central yharnam was the best for me, gave me the vibes of the trailers, tons of optional routes that looped back onto eachother that weren't just short cuts, cool new weapons and armor to find
Fuck the forest, goddamn i hated the snake balls and the general lack of feeling lost before learning the area
QUICK /v/!
Post a screenshot of a character you made in any game or else!
That a cute doggo
Sure thing bud
I tried to make Ego in Dragon Age. And just like the last time I played about seven months ago, I beat the first tutorial boss and got bored and never played it again

It's clearly a ferret.
Could fans of HL2 explain why then love it so much please? I'm not saying it's shit or anything, but I really don't see why people think it's one of the best games ever.
I played it for the first time in 2009, so maybe that's a factor. But the only shooters I played before that were RE4, Halo 3, BioShock, and Metroid Prime 1. HL2 just didn't feel that great. I think it's largely the graphics/art style. All the previous games I mentioned seemed to properly capture the aesthetic they were going for. HL2 just feels weirdly sterile and angular considering if has such a range of atmospheres and environments. I can go back and play older games with weak graphics, but they still look cool. I simple don't think Half Life 2 looks very good, which means I can't get into the idea of Combine oppression and a scrappy resistance. It looks sort of amateurish.
Could you guys explain if it felt different in 2004?
I first played it in 2012 and loved it. Don't know what to tell you. Everything looks worn down in Half Life 2 (Very much the opposite of Half Life 1, where everything looks cool and pristine or alien) because it's a post-Combine Earth.
>>389083710
>Could fans of HL2 explain
No, you underages are forever cursed to never being able to appreciate older games and what they did
Because fuking love it HL1 and expansions and when HL2 came out in 2004 i loved it just as much. The immersion and atmosphere were pretty GOAT.IMO
