The only Switch bundle I could find comes with Arms but I think it looks retarded, should I just take it to Gamestop and swap it for Splatoon 2?
>>384471637
I think I saw a bundle including Splatoon 2, some other games, and the system but that's like..........................................$499.99
Regardless, give it a go first and if you still hate it then swap it for Splatoon 2.
>>384472440
But if I open Arms first then it won't be a new copy anymore and I'll have to pay like $10-20 for Splatoon 2.
>>384472496
Oh you right...then in that case you should get Splatoon 2 and get ARMS later. ARMS is fun, it's just there's not that much content to it. They did say it would built upon with free updates in the future, so it's better to wait until more content for the game comes.
Mario + Rabbids
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2017-07-17-the-fanboys-making-the-next-mario-game
Late last year, reports began to circulate in the press about Mario + Rabbids, but with little additional information. Then in the build-up to its full reveal, a piece of retail marketing emerged with some artwork and a few sentences explaining the gameplay. It was scant, but the fans were sceptical, and Soliani's team started to worry.
"When the game leaks, no one is happy," Soliani says. "Also, let's be honest, the reaction at the beginning was not 'sceptical' - it was a little bit worse than that. It was quite hard on the team morale to read some of those comments. I asked for Grant's opinion, [since he] has way more experience than me. 'Do you think they will love it? Do you think they will hate us? Do you think that we've done everything wrong?' I was very, very worried. Because, you know, people on the internet can be very, very, very harsh."
Grant continues: "Davide was completely panicking. I kept saying to him not to worry and that everyone was going to love it."
That's why Soliani had warned his team to prepare for the worst at E3. His best hope, he tells us, was that someone would think, "It's OK for a strategy game". A good result would be to come away with one E3 Award nomination.
Yet from the moment Miyamoto took to the stage, it became clear that Soliani need not have feared. The reception was strong, and when the Nintendo legend called out Soliani's name on stage, the camera panned towards the tearful Ubisoft creator. People liked the game after all, and Soliani's emotional reaction turned him into a meme.

>Soliani's emotional reaction turned him into a meme.
honestly, I was skeptical at first since, but even though the gameplay is pulled right from another game series, it looks colorful, fun, the music is pure Kirkhope, and for a crossover involving Rabbids, it's not a bad one.
I still can't stand Rabbids. But I can't not try an X-COM game.
Anyone else remember this masterpiece?

How does Nintendo get away with it /v/?
at least it has more content than overwatch
The Nintendo Switch is good, but this has got to have some reworking.
>voice chat isn't on the console even though UI Nintendo set up on there looks like it is capable of doing so
>when using the app to voice chat, the app can't run in the background, instead it just reconnects you whenever the app is not on your screen
>the game's audio won't be heard through the phone
If voice chat can't be on the base console, at least implement it in the game itself like SSB4 (Wii U)...
>>384471207
yeah, lets force devs to implement voice chat in multiplats every single time because nintendo is retarded, it sure will bring a lot of 3rd party support
>>384472614
I don't even care about third party support on the Switch because obviously it's not going to be on it. I'm talking about first party.
>>384474164
you dont care because its 100% comfirmed you wont ever get any

This was my first Total War game, which introduced me to the series. I loved it, but many fan complained a lot about it (like it''s the death of the franchise).
At the time I didn't understand why. Then I started to play the historical titles (lot of Shogun 2, some Empire and now Medieval 2).
I enjoyed them as much as Warhammer and I finally understood that TW misses some pieces (naval battles, unit formations, different firing modes for artillery, ecc) and the sieges are pretty bland and way less fun.
But overall, it's still a very good game for me. So what's the general opinion now?
>>384471163
Naval battles were never good and after beating a couple of them yourself, you will usually autoresolve because of nofun. Firing modes for artillery will return in WH2 with Helves and Delves siege equipment (scattershot mode and repeater options). I'm fine with sieges being less convoluted but only for minor settlements. Capitals should have unique maps, possibly with multi-staged assault. As for formations, they really fucked it up. Cavalry heavy armies are severely handicapped during sieges simply because there is no option to dismount (it would also be nice to have it for legendary lords).
Despite these flaws I still love TWW a bit more than historical titles due to a much better faction variety and fantasy setting itself. Funnily enough, total war formula works with fantasy setting much better than your average rts and there are too few games like this (Mark of Chaos and King Arthur are the only ones I'm aware of). Hope CA will be able to keep the train going after the trilogy is complete with other IPs.

I've got about 300 hours in, love the game and can't wait for TW:W2, lizard bros seem fun. IMO, the game got notably better and better after each DLC/FREE LC release.
It has always been considered a good game except for a few very vocal people.
