I tried it out as a kid as well, but didn't really like it, I didn't like most other MMOs as a kid either though, I've only started enjoying them recently(when the whole genre is fucking dying already). The only MMO I've actually enjoyed as a kid was Air Rivals I think. It was far from perfect, but had some interesting concepts and flying in it was pretty fun.

I played it in beta and shortly after release. I only got to level 20 but it was comfy af and I'd never had that feeling with mmos at the time before. I went back into it many years later and I see niggas with glowing armour and weapons and it was just fucking awful

Yeah the duels at the end of the game can get pretty savage (Seto III. But it's pretty satisfying to earn powerful cards after grinding so that you can stand a fighting chance. If you don't mind grinding or find it relaxing you can earn the cards you need to stand up to Gate Guardian and BEUWD.
