it was the first (for console, pc was shitting all over this already) but yes perfect dark was better on every level

The game was great fun with friends, which is probably why OP doesn't understand why its so fondly remembered.

1. Goldeneye predates all of those games
2. The multiplayer was very robust for a console game
3. It was pretty much the first console FPS that wasn't either a port from PC (Doom, etc) or some shitty Sega CD lightgun-lite shitfest

TWINE was a straight improvement, but Goldeneye wins in terms of being there before the rest.
