The problem with RE4 is that it's way, way too long. The entire village sequence is absolute gaming perfection, but Capcom ran out of ideas at the castle. I'd say the game gets progressively boring until the water room (my favorite part of the game), and pretty much never recovers after the maze.

I've been binging the Front Mission series for the last few days but fuck the lack of decent localisations is painful and the crazy thing is most of the games menus/stats are in English to begin with, it'd take fuck all work for the devs to do a translation of the remaining text.

Front Mission 1 on DS is terribly translated, the fan translation for the SNES version is a fuck load better.....but it lacks the content of the DS version, and no one bothered to translate the PS1 re-release.

Front Mission 2 was JP only with a pretty half assed fan translation.

Front Mission Alternative is a fucking great RTS game, but again, only a barebones half assed fan translation exists.

Front Mission 3 got a western release and is pretty solid.

Front Mission 4 was JP only, not even a fan translation insight.

Front Mission 5 was JP only, reasonable fan translation, but they left entire chunks out.

...and then Front Mission stopped being Front Mission.

You posted two of my favorite works of his. Beach is not only an impressive feat for the time, but it's just really beautiful and intricate. It holds up incredibly well, not even as game music, but just as music. It honestly feels as if you're being taken on a journey. Wish we had more of his kind of talent in the industry.
