I'd forgotten how many bullshit-impossible-to-find secret paths there are in these games. When I was a kid I had no idea how to get some of the gems. How were you supposed to work this stuff out before the internet? Did it feature in gaming magazines?

>How were you supposed to work this stuff out before the internet?
We had internet. Wasn't good, but it was there
People just used strategy guides though
>>385360864
I figured out everything as a kid. If you play a game enough you start experimenting, and sometimes you find secrets on accident.
>>385361163
I never had any guides growing up. Having to body slam a specific Venus fly trap in one level to open a secret path in another level in another warp room is ridiculous.
Why did this get so much hate?
It wasn't perfect but definitely was better than Arkham City
I played it on PS4 but the PC launch of this game was a complete and utter disaster. I'd be bitter towards this game if I had to deal with that. Alot of the complaints always stem from the Batmobile inclusion. People felt it was got forced to often and to be fair that Deathstroke boss battle was TERRIBLE.
Personally I didnt mind the Batmobile and driving it around the city was pretty cool. I liked the way it handled and ejecting out of it at crazy speeds was fun as hell.
PC launch was shit
People bitched about the batmobile being crutched on
Arkham Knight reveal was painfully telegraphed
YET MORE FUCKING JOKER DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE WAS KILLED IN CITY
Underwhelming DLC content
I enjoyed it and found the predator bits much more fun than City or Asylum, but there were certainly a lot of issues.
Batmobile combat gets stale fast. "New" villain that wasn't actually new and the whole community had figured out from the jump yet Rocksteady tried to lie to us. PC port was a nightmare on release. Looking at the whole trilogy it didn't do anything particularly outstanding. Asylum had superior atmosphere. City had side quests. Both had better predator encounters, boss fights, stories, and DLC. Knight is an okay game but it's nowhere near as good as its predecessors. It's better than the buggy shitstain that is Origins at least.
Do you agree?

i have a bad feeling that this one is going to be streamlined due to the younger protag

I read somewhere that it was intentional for Rex to come of as less mature than Shulk, and that his character development will be very surprising to players
What the best mouse for vidya?
>>385360405
Heard good things about the g402, mostly the sensor.
I want a mouse with the same profile as a Deathadder, but a better sensor and better build quality.

the jumping mouse
>>385360405
G Pro is nice, good sensor and very light. Tiny though.
This guy does pretty in-depth mouse reviews: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGJaDZC7PChgd-XMwcbZkiw

CAN'T STOP ME
Do you still play Don't Starve?
Giant spiders kept chasing me everywhere so I stopped playing.
>>385359903
Yes with mygf
I build things and she fights things. Also doing a custom game set up where caves are safe but emptyish but outside is incredibly dangerous.
Fun shit.

Actually I've been wondering the same thing myself so I began to do some research. It took quite a bit of digging but I found some strange abstract motivator known as "fun." I hadn't ever heard of that before so I thought it was just some shill nonsense, but it turns out that this "fun" thing drives a lot of people to do a lot of different things. I tried to learn more about this "fun" but it's so difficult to research because it seems to be completely subjective. How convenient. I think it's all just a meme and people don't actually buy these games, but who knows.
>>385359620
But the story is bad, therefore there's not "fun"
ITT: Guilty pleasures
>>385359332
My face is tired.
It's a broken mess that certainly doesn't live up to what it promised, but it's still a game I go back to almost every year. The combat/character building is fun to break, the customization of your hero actually has some depth (scars, general appearance, changes from stat focuses such as getting taller/becoming blonde), the characters are memorable, the quests are generally creative, and the lore that's kinda hidden throughout books and shit can actually be pretty interesting.
It's a shame they didn't buckle down and improve on what was good for the sequels. They basically just scrapped everything for each game afterwards. Fable 2 was fun, but that's still locked to the 360 which I no longer have. So the original still remains my favorite, completely broken ass game.
>>385359939
>broken
literally how? nothing about it is broken.
What happened to cool vampire games like the Legacy of Kain series and BloodRayne?
>>385358961
Vampires Rain online multiplayer ftw
>>385358961
They ended the series with mediocre titles that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Then twighlight happened.
>>385358961
Blood Rayne 2 was good, even with the repetitive puzzles of throwing people into things. But I think we'll never see a 3rd one.
Are the Slim models of this made in 2010 and later as prone to yellow lighting as the launch models from 2006? Thinking of buying one of these used.
Nope. The normal Slim is specs and reliability-wise the best choice.
That being said, my 2007-bought Fat still works fine. Either I'm lucky, or the YLOD issue is exaggerated.
>>385358716
I think they're quite a bit more reliable. I'm still using the one I bought in 2009 with Demon's Souls and I've had zero problems with it.
Playing UNIST on it atm
my phat is still running fine too but I also have a modded slim so dont use the phat anymore

>>385359917
Can I fully enjoy the game and understand the story and shit without the DLCs? I can buy it for 4 bucks. I like Mikami and I fucking love RE4
Yes.
>>385358081
Pass on it. The game is 90 percent repetitively killing the same enemies for ten hours. Boss battles are on the dull side. The story is meh, while the side story told though the journals is actually more interesting.
>>385358154
Ok, getting it then. The only thing that stops me is that people shit on this game as hard as they can
where would you place these 3 in the street fighter lore tier list?
>>385357924
Cody is almost Oro-tier.
>>385358426
is there anything in the games that back this statement up?
Haggar is just Zangief before discovering communism, so wherever Zangief stands.
Guy is just some random ninja with no really special powers, probably around Makoto's level.
Cody has that one ending scene in Alpha 3 where Akuma admits that Cody might be stronger than him without the handcuffs, but otherwise he's probably closer to Guile's powerlevel, given his ability to create tornadoes with his punches.
