Guys, big problem here. I got hired by a game studio to work on some game, but this team is making me fed up with it all.

>game is a full 3d arena fighter
>setting is a semi modern semi futuristic I dunno wtf city
>arenas have hazards, destructible things, and varied terrain like slopes, stuff to climb on, etc
>theme is generally mafia and crime organization stuff

I thought this would be cool when it was all told to me, but then I saw the game that was being developed so far before I got there, and... I don't know how else to put it, it looks fucking gay as shit. The artstyle looks like a mix of that Tera online mmo and Jojo or some shit, it's not even like photorealistic or anything. The character designs are weird over the top shit with weird over the top powers and abilities and fighting styles(one of the characters is a guy with a gigantic pistol on his back, another is a woman that fights using razor sharp playing cards and dice and shit). The game is a fucking mess.

Now, I told them my ideas to fix it, and they shot them all down. I suggested making the setting more realistic and much more dark and gritty, like fucked up like real mafia shit, changing the art style to a more photorealism thing and not that weeb anime shit, and making the character designs and their gameplay realistic and more down to earth, like actual mobsters and stuff fighting. All gets shot down, get told it's too "edgy" and not what they want.

Wtf do I do? This game is destined for failure, no one is going to be interested in this shit, it looks too fucking weird and anime, like jojo and one piece and some Korean mmo had sex and this was the kid. It's fucking stupid looking. Any way I can force these guys to see this shit won't work, or am I stuck?

Hard Mode: Explain their overworld ability and battling style. Throw in any other miscellaneous info for extra autism.

Overworld ability would be a combination of flapping his wings and Flutter Jumping. It crosses gaps and flies higher than Mario's Jump to reach elevated ledges, then butt stomps below for a first strike. It fills the roles of Parakarry/Yoshi and the Tornado Jump from 64.

Basic attack's a Ground Pound that you press A over the target to use. Middling power like Flurrie's Body Slam or Parakarry's Dive. First FP move is a weak spread move: a charge like the ones in Mario and Luigi that hits all enemies, followed by a Ground Pound on a single selected foe. You mash A for the charge, then he runs offscreen and loops around to the other side and jumps, then you press A when he's above the selected enemy.

Also, he wears a hood like Koops and the drawstring muzzles him when he's jumped on, immobilizing him.
