I could give a fuck less what /v/ thought of the game but I thought it was good but easily forgettable since it's badly balanced, has little level variey, and some jewy microtransation practices.

Sometimes I self insert myself included actual attributes i.e. dyel strength and low charisma.

Other times I create a character, make up a small back story for them, and give them attributes that are appropriate for their story/play style

The only 2D platformer on a Sega console I can think of that's really a masterpiece is Rocket Knight Adventures.

cut content doesn't usually make it to the coding stage, basically what you're doing when you're upset about it is making up a fantasy in your head about what it could be, when in reality maybe there was a good reason it was cut or it could've had problems of its own

Once I hit Novigrad the quests became interesting enough to have me firmly hooked all the way through the end of the game. A lot of the praise comes down to the breadth of the world you explore and how 'alive' it ends up feeling as you travel through the different kingdoms

The last straw for me and what made me stop playing all together was when I had gotten back from Skellige with the Master Armor side quest thing after killing the ice troll. Game wanted me to go kill an Archvile Griffin 6 levels higher than me. I did a few times and span Quen while taking to light attacks and dodging. About to kill it when it flies off. I follow yet the quest marker still shows the nest. I go back and the game spawns another, full healthed Griffin.

Spent half an hour researching of I did anything wrong. Nope, just another glitch. Uninstalled and deleted with no desire to ever return.
