I recently finished SotN and I have to say I still enjoy Metroid more.

I feel like there is so much more to do in SoTN. Way more to explore. Way more powers. Plus leveling and getting equipment helps too.
Also Inverted castle kind of doubles the game.
That being said I enjoy Super Metroid's atmosphere, colors and music way more

When I played it I thought the same thing,

It was awful, every time I give it another chance it always disappoints. Maybe first person will somewhat make me want to play it again, who knows.
