wtf is this shit?
Kills Roadhog because "Our intent was to try to remove a behavior that had become “not ok” with our player base – the one-shot combo"
Introduces Doomnigger who can 1 shot literally all non-tanks except Bastion with half the cooldown time.
Jee I wonder why this game is dying.
But it won't, because they care less about the gameplay and more about the characters.
Not comparable

>microsoft threads barely get 100 replies unless its a b8 thread
>sega threads that isnt sonic, yakuza, and to a lesser extent miku related get less than a 100 replies
why is this? why dont you guys like sega or microsoft?
Because they're both fucking awful companies.
>>386076271
It's a board of extremes. Half the board's 35-year-old virgins who still have a childish obsession with Nintendo. The other half's 14-year-olds, who bought their Sony console purely on the grounds that it was the most popular. There are very few people who don't fall into one of these extremes, hence why there are no Sega or Mircosoft discussions.
>>386076409
Every company OP listed has horrible qualities, especially fucking modern-Sony.
SEGA mostly lacks other games worth discussing, and M$ is a mix of both that and being too dudebro/un-weebish for /v/ crowds.
What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see this image?

For some reason, player cards in first person shooters nowadays.

the rine
>game has a team of dudes with guns
>the sniper guy is always the pseudo "cool" guy
It's only because a lot of them go solo, and for this reason it is an overused trope
*throws piss on you*
>>386076240
Solo in media anyway, idk how real snipers go
No
the point of public relations and engaging the community is to create positive conversations
You can be no-nonsense all you want in the workplace, the steam forums aren't your workplace, they're an avenue of advertisement for your product. If you don't want to suck up to your audience, don't post in the steam forums. It's that simple. Otherwise you're actively damaging your company's image
Well, yeah, you really shouldn't expect a finished product on Steam or from EA.

LITERALLY who?
>spend hours just fucking around with the grapling hook
>forget what the story was even about
is this what fun feels like?
its been so long
Second game was even better, since it had a more varied map and more things to see and do.
>>386076045
I spent a couple hours yesterday just shooting out struts on guard towers and watching them collapse. Little physics things like that haven't held my attention in a long time, but this games is full of neat stuff like flower beds flattening if you throw a grenade or some other explosive into them that impress me quite a bit.
I also blew up a gas station once and the shockwave dented the shit out of a billboard behind it.
>>386076770
That's one thing that bothers me though, the map isn't nearly as varied and it all just looks the same, which sucks. They defintely give you more gadgets to mess around with, but the game world itself is pretty bland in comparisson.
Yeahitns pcoolAND YOU CAN DESTROY THE FUCKING TRAINS

Pic not related, I hope.
>enemy has 1/100 chance of dropping a ring
>kill it 100 times
>don't get the ring
>enemy has 1/1024 chance of dropping important crafting material
>kill it once
>get the material
>don't have crafting skills
>sell it to random npc
What is probability. There's only a 1 percent chance to drop every time it dosnt matter how many times you kill it
>>386075582
Actually the odds are 50%, you either get the ring or you don't
Thank God for David Sirlin!
>"Skeptics at these shows (and there were only like 2 or 3 at each) would say “isn’t there just nothing to this?” Then we offer to crush them really hard, either with me playing them or one of my staff. In all cases, we crush them easily, as in more than 10-0. You might think people get salty from that, but the skeptics were all very excited. It’s exactly what they wanted to see, that there is a level of play far above what they were aware of.
>Our highest praise, in my opinion, came from such a person who, after getting crushed really badly, trained at our booth for hours and hours. Then he challenged me again, and I crushed him yet again (slightly less badly, he at least won a few rounds, but not games). Then he said the first time he faced me, he lost a lot of times because he was unaware of this move or that, of this property of a move, or something. But the second time, he said he had full knowledge of all that stuff, and “he was simply outplayed.” That’s exactly what he hoped for: that a higher level of play was possible, so there’s a skill to it."
I think wall 1 is CERTAIN special move motions. Hold down back- down forward-down back-up forward for a super is fucking godawful (Dee Jay, Guile in SF4). Guile's Super in SFV (hold back-forward-back-forward) is also incredibly annoying. I think that those are a little extreme, but necessary to make the moves at least a little bit technical. I'd also switch Wall 2 with the tactics, because fundamentals are incredibly important to any game
I'm not good at fighting games by any metric but I still enjoy them. I don't see why it's so hard for people to have fun.
>>386075568
Did you actually play the game on the demo weekend? I had fun with it
>Q: Following the sales results of Ultra Street Fighter II, what will Capcom’s approach to the Nintendo Switch be going forward?
>A: Beginning with Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Nintendo Switch Ver. for Japan, we are evaluating how we will support this platform in the future.
How many test will there be? Why can't they just come out and say "we don't want to" instead of trying to come up with excuses not to?
>>386075178
Cause from wiiu era all companies learned that out right say"we dont want to support x or y" is a PR fiasco, so better makes excuses and blame Nintendo
Obviously it will be successful.
>>386075951
I want xx to be a success just to see what kind of new test will they put up??
>you want goty RE 7 edition??
>better buy that revelations double pack 1st, we need to test the waters about that
You WILL buy this game
what kid of joy do you get out of this anon

Oh, ok.
Will the other chapters be about something else?
Such as taking place after the second game or expanding on other characters?

Any plans to continue beyond that?
