Three: If you hate a game but are only curious to how it ends, stop playing it and just look it up on youtube.

Game play can still be fun even if the lore or world tries to be rooted in some form of realism. And even in games involving fantasy or Sci fi, the game has more than its fair share of absurdities but still tries to lay down some ground rules in the form of natural laws or established background lore. Japan just says fuck it make it more stupid or ridiculous even if it doesn't make sense.

GTA is more wacky than Yakuza. The characters and worlds are outlandish and the sandbox gameplay makes it even more crazy. Yakuza just has forced humor and flashy qte/cinematics, but it's all on the rail.

Also playing almost 100% blind. I knew nothing going in. This game reminds me of something in the vain of hl2, new vegas, yakuza, stalker.

Chose clan gangrel, but kinda regretting it. The animal shit is kinda lame so far. Plus I my seems like a class for melee builds and I'm doing ranged. I guess it's fine for 1st play through though.

What games employ the last one? MGS comes to mind. Most developers seem to pussy out of the everyone is 'different shades of grey' approach. I guess they believe the black and white approach is safer.

Definitly play DR2. IMO, it's even better than the first. DR3 isn't really the abomination you seem to think it is. It's fun to watch, because it's just a pretty crazy story like the 2 games, but they try to answer some questions that were better left unanswered, and that part was pretty unsatisfying and anticlimactic.
