Is liking smash synonymous whit being a hardcore Nintendo fan?
Interestingly enough almost all of my Friends or people i met in general aren't fond smash.
And even when i have parities people would rather play Tekken, Soul Calibur, SF, KOf or GG or any fighter other than smash for that matter even US made ones like MK or Injsutice.
I dont even know anyone who actually likes smash (No one realy hates it ether but thy just dont care much for it)
Now i know for a fact some of them like Nintendo games, especially Zelda or Meteoroid games but aren't exclusively Nintendo fans but do own some Nintendo consoles but not exclusively.
They just like good games in general and Zelda and Meteoroid games are Mostly Good.
Me personally i kinda enjoyed plying it a but online on my Hacked 3ds for free but i like put maybe 10 hours in it max.
Even won a lot of matches but compare that to over 100 or even 700 hours in some other fighting games i play and you get the point.
So is liking smash realy just a Nintendo fanboy thing?

Nothing. Suckers are now PAYING to beta test, when that used to be a job you'd be earning money for. For game devs, it means they can just break promises, pull features, delay development indefinitely and release a broken and half-assed game by clicking the 'full release' button and calling it a day. Hi /v/, this is a review of Mario 64.
Mario 64 is seen as an amazingly advanced and historical game, that I can not deny. It is however, not the greatest game of all time, not even the best on the N64. Let's talk about this. First off, lemme just make a nod to Jumping Flash, a 3D platformer that predates Mario 64 and honestly does platforming far better. You see, that's Mario 64's weak spot. The game is very diverse in it's worlds, the controls are tight, the camera is great, and the game was very innovative. But the platforming...oh the platforming. Platforming in a 3D environment is hard, I understand that. So what was Mario 64's solution to this problem? Remove the platforming! Most levels in the game are just flat land that has very few bits of platforming, typically within specific areas that are designed to reward the player even if they fail to properly platform. The most platforming in this game comes from Tick Tock Clock, but even then the player can just freeze the platforming in place. In fact, the level isn't even necessary to complete the game. I do enjoy the game overall, and it's a very fun game that I will often come back to, but in terms of platforming... I just feel that there are far better alternatives, even on the N64. Banjo-Kazooie comes to mind. If you're looking for a fun and simple game, here it is. But if you're looking for a genuine platforming challenge, I'd recommend picking up something like Crash Bandicoot.

One of the biggest complaints about Metroidvania's I've seen recently is that they are "too easy" and don't really have replay value since you can't really explore after your first playthrough and you just beeline to your destination.
Do you agree with this sentiment and that the Metroidvania games are worse off because of it? How would you make a 2D game with fodder enemies and XP leveling more difficult?

Level caps. Either
Strictly enforced: you cannot raise your lvl beyond a certain cap until you discover and defeat the boss that breaks your limit up to the next tier, this happens frequently throughout the game similar to Gym Badges in Pokemon
Soft enforced: when you encounter a boss or a room meant to be a trap or contain a difficult encounter, the room will be "cursed" and lower your level or scale it down if you're beyond a certain limit.
