It's a good expansion. Has obvious issues, such as the amount of time gated content with each patch, or legendary RNG unbalance fiesta, among a few others. But still a really solid expansion with plenty of content and good raids that are more challenging than ever.
Leave it to /v/ to shit on a game for going the right direction for once, though. Most of these faggots will complain that the game has no content but then turn right around and say they don't want to grind. They'd rather sit AFK in FFXIV all day.

Finally going to start playing the Ys series after buying all of them past couple years without even playing any of them yet.
What difficulties are the best for each game? Specifically want to know for pic related since I'm starting with this.
Also, should I pick complete or Chronicles and should I use the Chronicles music or the complete music?

With the first two games, it really isn't worth doing high difficulty for your first playthrough. The bosses are frustrating enough on normal. Music and artstyle are completely up to preference, though I wish the PC-Engine OST was available for this version of the game.

According to Tabata-san, the game released last year is what is considered “the main story,” while the character DLCs are a supplementary experience.
So the game will eternally feel incomplete, and will remain filled with plot-holes.

This game was a fucking disgrace, I waited literally years for it to come out, and due to the Normie Pandering it constantly tried to do, they ruined it.
Yet in the most fucked up of ways, it was a success financially, the normies ate this shit up.
And now SE knows this format 'works' they'll do it again.
