stardew valley is a contender. both games will easily suck 40 hours of your life away guaranteed, but your level of autism is the real indicator of how much more than that you get

because of its nature as a voxel-like game, terraria has potentially more longevity but only autists get any enjoyment out of playing a clunky paint simulator. The fun of Terraria is exploring the world, beating bosses, finding cool new equipment, not spending 10 hrs building a 2D castle that nobody gives a shit about

so yeah because of that it brings a lot of other games into the frey honestly. Stardew isn't the only cheap indie game with 40+ hours of gameplay out of it, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head

Binding of Isaac

The death of Desmond and firing of the original creator was its downfall. After Desmond was unceremoniously killed off, the story became a clusterfuck. They had no idea where to take the series.

wii u pro controller has the best dpad of those 3, also has a god-tier battery life. Downside is you basically need the mayflash adapter to use it on PC, and the controller has recently become hard-to-find.

Played some paladins with a buddy. New patch introduced a bunch of bugs and the game runs like 500 ping even when reporting 150 ping, which also sucks, and was the standard until patch.

But things are changing, it's a slow process but we're already witnessing this with sequels like Watch Dogs 2, Assasin's Creed Unity and Syndicate, Titanfall 2, Deus Ex MD, new CoD, Dishonored 2 to name a few not be able to hit better sales than their predecessors.
