I tried for a long time in the past, but playing with VPNs to get trough the IP block made everything lag so much. Eventually the game lost popularity and they opened it's servers for everyone, but it was too dated and there was much better games around.

It's better than the Ps2 version in every way except for the lack of an orchestral soundtrack- which can be patched anyway if you have CFW
So yeah, play this one. The extra content and quality of life improvements make the 3DS version the better choice.

So basically,
The real natural state of humans is actually being hallow and undead. Oh and DARKNESS. (Just like their ancestor pygmies)
The age of Fire makes human mortal and not-undead.
Throughout the human generations, Gwen lied to the humans that "This is good and is how things should be."
Humans eat up this lie so much that they would help Gwen to link the Fire just to protect the status quo. This is the so called "First Sin".
At some point, the Fire gets so "tired" of being linked that further linking would only put it on life support, and not for long.
As this Fire fades, the "Darkness" creeps back. So humans start becoming undead and hallow again. But they don't know this is how things should be, and thought of it as a curse.
Did I miss anything?
