What's embarassing is the 5% drop off for DS1 which is 1 minute of game time

Steam achievements weren't added into DS1 (previously GFWL) until just before the launch of DS2. You had a very small period to port your achievements over and not a lot of people did it.

the sonic cd special stages were good unlike this

They're pretty punishing since there's a lot of ways to screw up.

>not getting enough blue spheres and getting outpaced
>not following the UFO's shortcuts and getting btfo
>not collecting enough rings and timing out
>running into shit
>straight up falling off

I beat the game as Sonic but got stuck horribly on the fourth stage. Wasted about 10 giant rings and didn't get any more emeralds until I was able to go back and replay stages.

That said, I suspect this will end up being like Sonic 2 in that some of these special stages will go from brutal to manageable on replays.
