Have a few questions about this game, just got done beating Bat Bitch
- How do you do a Magic build, do you just rely on Talismans?
- is it possible to infuse weapons with elements (Earth, Water, etc) like you can in Das3 and Bloodborne?
- Is it worth it doing submissions?
>>387736703
You can't really do a pure Magic build. It's more of a toolkit like Ninjutsu that can complement your weapon/armor build.
>>387737035
well, Im really focusing on Dex. But I heard pumping Omniyi and Spirit can be fun
>>387736703
You can lean heavily on stuff like Talismans and Element shots--the real trick is to get two different stat buildups on any strong enemy/boss so they go into the disabled status that lets you wreck them.
Spirit/Magic Build was the best build before the DLC and all the patches. Dunno now.
Anyone up for a vidya trivia/easter egg thread?
>Doom 2's final level, "Icon of Sin", has a very strange easter egg. Upon entering the level, a voice speaking in an apparently unknown language can be heard, and the player must defeat the Icon of Sin, which is stationary, and a plethora of demons. If the character plays the voice backwards, however, they can clearly hear the words "To win the game, you must kill me, John Romero" being spoken, and if the player manages to jump into the Icon of Sin, they can find the severed head of programmer John Romero on a stick.
>Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2005) was originally going to have Qui-Gon Jinn as a playable hero. He was to be playable in both Naboo maps, and was set to be voiced by his original actor, Liam Neeson. At the time, however, Neeson was busy filming his role as the character Ra's Al Ghul in the superhero film Batman Begins, directed by Christopher Nolan, and was unable to provide his voice to the character. Pandemic eventually opted to cut the character out of the game entirely.

That's a classic.
And hell yeah I'm up for trivia/easter eggs. I know none, so bring 'em.
>Fallout 3 was released in October of 2008. During that very same year, Barack Obama ran for the position of President of the United States of America, and would eventually make history by being elected as the first African-American President of the United States in November of 2008. One developer at Bethesda seemed to dislike this possibility, and as a result, a rather controversial easter egg found its way into the game.
>When playing Fallout 3, if the player travels to the ruins of DC, they will find a smoldering crater in what used to be the location of the White House. Originally, if one were to enter the utility tunnel located nearby, they would find a note that read "...and let it be known that, should the United States of America ever be called to nuclear war against Russia and Chine, then I, President Barack Hussein Obama, will answer that call...". The note was soon discovered by players, and it was quickly patched out by Bethesda, with a copy of the unarmed skill book Pugilism Illustrated taking the controversial note's place instead.
If this happened nowadays you guys would defend it
>>387640821
nintenfags would
>>387640845
>tfw epona amiibo
>>387640821
No one would defend it, but it's so standard that no one would care.
Oh Shepard I wish I had some time to get to know you better.
I enjoyed her black replacement in 3, but what was even the point in replacing her?
Literal space dog fucker.
Wow this game looks literally unplayable by modern standards.
I feel old.
This is Notch, the guy who founded Minecraft. Say something nice about him or his game.
He's a sexist from what I hear
>>387639992
He founded Origin from what I hear
I think you'll find that's Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Call of Duty.
>"I think you are about to make a very... critical... mistake.."
>>387639958
Why don't you just leave them to RP? They're having fun.
>>387640128
what?
>>387640214
The dragon is clearly RPing and they make fun of him and upload it to youtube.
How would a Clarkson, May and Hammond era Top Gear video game play?
it would be a bunch of minigames
only idiots would ask for a racing game
>>387639381
Just like Forza Motorsport 6
It would be fun for awhile until they're replaced by minorities
Fellow Sonic bros... I know this isn't what we wanted but we can pull through this. Sonic has been through darker times.
Whenever you're feeling down, just ask yourself... What would Shadow do? That's what gets me through the day.
>>387638936
Huh?
Mania is the best game since Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I enjoy adventure 1 and 2 for nostalgic cosiness, but they're shit games.
sad times for sonic fans!
>tfw the good ol' days of 2005~06 will never return
Yesterday there was a thread about how people came by OoT for the first time. Many had a similar story. They were young and pointed it out to their parents, or their parents wanted it and they inherited it, etc. Now, OoT is (arguably) the best game ever, but I find these stories hard to believe, i.e. that there are so many firsthand owners of a game that sold 8 million copies in '98 and browse /v/ still. Understandably, some pointed out 8 million was a huge number in the days when the industry was still niche. But that only makes it more hard to believe. At least PS1 sold 102 million so there is bound to be some overlap between /v/ and Sony fans. But N64 only sold 32 million in total. What are you first-gen N64 bros doing? What do you play these days? Do you still go back and play your N64? What games have """"aged""" the worse in your opinion?
(Editor's note: There's no such thing as "aging" in games. Only "reevaluating" under a new POV.)
>>387638864
I don't really play my old N64 anymore because it's better to emulate than play fucking PAL games
I do own a JP N64 and OoT 1.1 but my PAL CRT displays it black and white which is kinda annoying too
I mostly just play n64 games nowadays.
Still have Mine's connected.
We all agree SMW > SMB3, right?
>>>/vr/ grandpa
SNES SMB3 > SMW > SMB3
No, I disagree.

Defend this /v/
>buying 3ds games ever
I'll pirate it
What the fuck even is this black shit they added onto these already ugly asf legendaries?
So I just bought Mountain Blade on Steam and looking for mods to install. What does /v/ recommend?
Floris for first playthrough. It's basically Vanilla+. Fixes a lot of the issues Vanilla has.
>>387638151
Prophecy of Pendor is the best first mod to get into with it's high quality and interesting scenarios that differ highly from the main game.
>>387638151
don't know about mods but if you play vanilla go with blunt weapons and sell captives at the tavern. wa-la, you have infinite money
ITT: Characters that were a mistake in fighting games.
I'll start.
Horrible character concept
>>387733484
I only played Hisoutensoku casually, but what was wrong with Youmu? I enjoyed playing her and Hong Meiling.
