>"An action RPG from a team of ex-Ubisoft, Blizzard and Konami devs. "
>"Filling the boots of deceased soldier Adam, you're tasked with thwarting a series of uber-tough bosses who're said to "represent the seven deadly sins". Only by doing so can our Adam hope to "escape a horrific afterlife", and, to complicate matters further still, players are forced to level down one stat prior to each fight as a form of sacrifice. "
Are you hyped about Dark Souls 2.0, /v/?

Looks generic and bland as fuck
>>387789843
If I wanted another mediocre souls game I'd play 2 or 3
>>387789843
>Are you hyped about Dark Souls 2.0, /v/?
Wasn't that supposed to be Code Vein about the vampires in Russia or something like that?
>Level down a stat in sacrifice.
Obviously you choose your dumpstat.
What's your view on this god of a man
I have no opinion, just like him

HAPPY HOSTESS IS BACK IN BUSINESS MOTHERFUCKER
CHEESE DRINKING
What if you were to give this game to, say, twenty... intelligent people i mean, what would that do? Let's face it, what would it do?
I don't understand the question

Request refund
Slightly increase the player base?
I HAVE HAD ENOUGH
GIVE ME DARKSPORE BACK
I PAID FIFTY GODDAMN BUCKS FOR THAT GAME
RELEASE THE PRIVATE SERVER CODE RIGHT NOW EA, OR I'LL DO SOMETHING I'LL REGRET
THIS IS MY LAST FUCKING WARNING

>tfw EA could have done this at literally no cost
>tfw they didn't because they're EA
Do it, faggot.
How did NRS manage to make better looking female faces while using a more difficult style (Realistic western style) than Capcom did taking the easy way out (Anime cartoony style)?
>>387789487
its because the faces have volume along with emotion, which is never usually found in Japanese games.
>>387789487
>Anime cartoony style
I wouldn't describe MvC:I as that at all. hell its less anime than MvC 3 was
>>387790059
pretty much this
If anything Capcom is avoiding at all costs use CellShading/anime style on their games and instead it keeps using this uncanny doll art styles since SF4.
Whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired.
ASL season 4 just got announced, starts Sep 10th. 1st prize is 60k US this time round, hopefully somebody might actually beat flash.
Beyond that, how are you enjoying the remaster?
I've had fun, but I think it was a mistake to try and start as terran. I think I might have to switch to protoss until I get better.
starcraft is shit, this remaster won't revive your pretentious dead game
>>387789316
I thought I was having fun.
I must have been mistaken, let me check that again
>>387789316
There's nothing pretentious about Starcraft. Maybe the community, but not the game itself.

Why is this industry trying to revive even old obscure shit that few ever heard of like Fear Effect? I mean I played it as a kid but goddamn I can't imagine anyone even knowing this thing exists in 2017 that browses here on /v/. I'd be surprised if even just 100 people who come here know of it. I can't even remember it well myself. This industry has officially run out of ideas and is relying too much on the past now. If they were creating actually good games they wouldn't have to keep going back to the past well like they do.
>>387789225
...f-fpbp?
>>387789225
Industry is creatively bankrupt and risk adverse.
What game lets me play as an australian?

>Beyond just WoW, I’ll be a little controversial here and say that I worry that the importance of sandboxes to successful game design gets overstated. I’ve also noticed that it is game reviewers who get really excited about open-ended gameplay, and I’m sure part of that reason is because they have to play through so many games at a frenetic pace that something where they get to set the rules is appealing.
>And I do get the appeal of sandboxes. It’s just that so often the game can’t often deliver on the massive expectations of what a sandbox really is. I get really bored of games where I have to go find the fun or invent my own fun, usually because games can’t ever really deliver on “Anything that you can conceive, you can do.” Instead I always find myself bumping into the limitations of the system. I can’t really be a thief who just survives stealing from other players. I can’t really be a merchant or a politician or a prophet because the game systems aren’t robust enough to support that. Minecraft lets you make ridiculously elaborate architecture. GTA is funny when the cop AI collides with semi-realistic car physics. But both are still pretty limited in terms of sandboxes.
Sandbox fags BTFO
>Ignore blog post
>Still have fun with sandbox games
It's almost like the more you analyze games instead of just play them, the more entertainment value they lose.
That's because anything open-ended with physics or no set goal is called a Sandbox these days.
> I can’t really be a thief who just survives stealing from other players. I can’t really be a merchant or a politician or a prophet because the game systems aren’t robust enough to support that.
UO did. That was the direction we should have gone in.

>having fun doing the same exact mindless gathering/crafting trite again and again and again in 200 different games
You sure you're not autistic or something?
Anyone else played the demo? Simple game but love the fan service. Monster Hunter thread
>>387788732
This is the wrong kind of shitposting to start an MH thread with. Although I guess it's better than console wars.
>>387789009
It's the only Monster Hunter game we are getting. Could talk about XX demo but not a whole lot owns a Switch.
>>387789196
Stories isn't an MH game though.
You could talk about World. Although there's not much to talk about yet. I'd prefer no MH threads at all until we get some more actual info, than the MH threads we get now.
Okay /v/, you were right. This game IS better than Skyrim and Oblivion... But I wish I hadn't played it. How the fuck am I supposed to enjoy another RPG after playing this masterpiece?
>>387788510
Have you played ANY other classic CRPGs besides Morrowind?
>But I wish I hadn't played it
I'm sorry, anon, I didn't hear you clearly. Can you repeat what you just said?
>>387788510
Just wait until you play Daggerfall
This is the STALKER of RPGs
Your basic world is too scripted and predictable without other players to be considered in the same vein as STALKER.
>>387788236
>RPG
is this what people actually believe?
>>387788480
children gon child
Finally got back into playing The Witcher 3 after literally 2 years, I completely forgot how amazing it is; looks groovy on my new monitor as well.
Now, I've got TW3 on steam but want to pirate the expansions, could I get them to work together?
Also TW3 general
>pirating anything cd projekt related
just kill yourself please
>>387788117
Just fucking buy them. They're worth it, and they bound to go on sale every time Steam hold one.
>>387788190
>>387788247
roughly when's the autumn sale?
Wtf were they thinking?
Nobody played that game anyway
>>387787563
>Rhythm game
>Boss music barely has a time signature, gameplay isn't fully synced to music.
With the fresh update I reckon it's as good time as ever to discuss the rather stale subject.
Is it worth buying the game right away? Will they increase the price? Will the modifying terrain, available in creative mode right now stay available?
Here's our romantic evening dinner under the moon with my fishfu
It'd generally help to acquire literacy, nigger.
It's absolutely worth buying.
>>387839562
>Still in early access
>Start work on expansion
How do people still fall for these scams?
