you must be new.
>Playing Dredd vs. Death for the first time
>First level of the arcade mode has you playing as a gang member during a block war
>Kill a judge and pick up his gun
>Think 'that's stupid, everyone knows a judge's gun is keyed to his genetic signature so no one else can fire it.'
>Whatever, it's a balance thing I'm sure
>Go to shoot it
>It fucking explodes and kills me
What was your last 'wow' moment in gaming?

>What was your last 'wow' moment in gaming?
When I pressed buttons and nothing happened.
that fleshpound is going to fucking kill him
>>387888384
The Dredd vs Death game was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed it. I also liked how you could verbally challenge enemies to surrender then arrest them.
I don't think I killed a single human in that entire game, except on the last level when the suicidal ones charge at you and refuse to surrender. Arrested literally everyone else non lethally.
I can't believe such a sub par dev like Rebellion managed to make an innovate and good video game. Art and atmosphere was great too.
Aren't you survival horror fags happy about this game coming out this month?

"In App Purchases"
Another single player game plagued by greed. It to the trash it goes.

Source?
Even if it's true I don't really care, if you can still play the game normally without having to buy those why bother?
What is your favorite reason to hate Keiji Inafune?
For me, it's killing Clover and any shot at Clover sequels.
>>387888365
Killing Clover is the best reason to despise that fuck
No legitimate Okami sequel
No more Viewtiful Joe
No fucking God Hand sequel
>>387888365
>1UP: Regarding the former Clover Studio’s properties –Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, Okami– what will you do with them?
>KI: At this time, we have no plans of making sequels to any of those properties. I can’t say we won’t, for certain, but it’s not very likely or appealing. If we had no other properties to depend on for making new games, we might be desperate enough to create sequels to those titles, but that’s not the case. We have a lot of titles that we want to make and other sequels that are waiting to be made. So, there’s no interest at the moment.
ITT: dead genres

>cRPG
>2D fighter
nothing of value lost desu
>They're not popular with asbolute normalfags nor completely ruined by AAA developers with their shovelware, therefore they must be dead!
>>387888391
The new games in those genres are funded on kickstarters and only sell to small niche groups
Yes, they are dead.

Saw a greentext thread yesterday with stories about shitty things you or other kids did when borrowing vidya, shit was good entertainment value. Include some feel-good stories for good measure.
I'll start
>be me
>be 21ish
>be 2009/10
>one of my best friends let me borrow Mass Effect because I had never played it before
>played it all the way through, beat it
>had some fun but it was meh, I wasn't super excited about it, definitely didn't want to keep it
>like 4 months goes by, completely forget about it
>friend "hey dude, you got my copy of mass effect?"
>"yeah sure"
>tear apart my entire college dorm as well as my entire room at home looking for it
>FUCK
>always tried to be a good friend and return games, I hated it when people borrowed my shit and didn't take care of my shit
>felt like my reputation as a borrower was now tainted
>idea.flac
>didn't tell my friend I couldn't find the game
>went to gamestop to try and buy a new copy, by then it was out for a while and it should have been cheap
>was going to tell him I lost his copy and bought him a new one so he knew I'm not a thief piece of shit
>they don't have it
>went to like 6 other gamestops
>NOBODY fucking has it
>apparently ME2 was getting ready to drop relatively soon and everyone was buying up ME1 to start their playthroughs
>dejected, I hang my head and go to my friends house
>tell him I can't find his game and that I'm sorry
>he laughs his ass off, tells me I already returned it to him and he was just fucking with me
>call him a liar
>he shows me his copy of the game that I returned and apparently forgot about
>he packs me up a fat bong rip for being a good friend after I told him the lengths I went to to try and make sure he wasn't missing his game and then ultimately owning up to not having it
>we still laugh about it to this day
>mfw I'm secretly kinda miffed that my friends joke on me almost resulted in me paying money for a Mass Effect game without even needing to
I'll do another
>be me
>be 10-12ish
>be young and naive
>had a friend about 3 years older than me
>he was that one friend that was always the alpha, always managed to talk me into shit I didn't want to do
>he was older and bigger, he had been in a lot of fights and I hadnt, he would have REKT me
>he asks to borrow my PS1 copy of Command and Conquer Red Alert
>I loved that game, my PC copy wasn't working anymore and it was my last connection to C&C
>I was reluctant to let him borrow it, knowing he was a destructive piece of shit and never took care of his own shit, much less someone else's
>he basically intimidates me/makes me feel guilty for saying no
>okay.jpg
>let him borrow it
>don't see it for 3 months
>finally ask for it back
>"if you want it back you're gonna have to let me borrow your dad's copy of Medal of Honor Allied Assault"
>"what the fuck, no..."
>he intimidates me again
>okay.jpg
>trade for my own fucking game, disc is scratched all to shit
>a few hours later my dad comes into the room
>"anon have you seen my MOHAA game?"
>"yeah Chris has it."
>"not anymore he doesn't, I'm not gonna have him destroy MY fucking game. Go fucking get it"
>decide I'm more afraid of my dad than the faggot across the street
>man up and run over to his house
>straight up walk into this kids house without knocking
>he's in the shower
>game is installing on his computer
>yank the disc out of it
>walk right the fuck out and bring it home to my dad
>kid never said anything about it
>mfw that little faggot would have completely forgotten about my dad's game and I never would have seen it again if I didn't go get it
That was the day I decided I would be more selective about who I loaned my games to, and who my friends were.
Fuck you Chris. You're a 33 year old janitor now, enjoy your garbage you prick.
>let friend borrow my game
>never get it returned
>go to my friend's house some time after that
>notice my game on his shelf
>don't have the balls to call him out on it or just take the game home so just stare longingly at it
>still never got the game
Why am I like this.
>be me
I wish Summer would end.
How do I get myself to play this game? I don't like it but everyone says it will grow on me. And as soon as I say it's bad I am getting shitted on
>>387887624
the people who say it gets better are lying fucks.
The level design will still be bad, enemies will still be ganksquads 24/7, the DLC is as shit as the base game.
skip it and get bloodborne instead
DS2 was made by interns
>>387887829
I've already beaten Bloodborne

>By converting and amplifying the unique abilities of the character piloting the Virtuaroid, the Virtuaroid gains access to a new attack. While previous Virtual-On titles only featured three weapons, this will act as a fourth weapon in A Certain Magical Virtual-On.
>Touma Kamijou / Temujin – A standard, high versatility Virtuaroid with stable performance. The “Slipner” launcher equipped to its right arm supports both long and short range combat. It is widely used from beginners to advanced users.
>Index / Val Lurune – A 545 series, multipurpose-type, integrated Virtuaroid. A practical use Virtuaroid originally developed inside the academy. It is equipped with an autonomous control launcher that can be detached within both arms and the defense husk of the lower body. In previous Virtual-On games, the “Bal” line were Virtuaroids for advanced users.
>Accelerator / Specineff – A grudge curse assassination Virtuaroid. It amplifies curse in a disorderly manner.
>Mikoto Misaka / Raiden – A heavy attack Virtuaroid equipped with high performance optical weapons. It is characterized by its heavy armor and heavy weapons. Its shoulder unit, called Stave 800Z, is equipped with high output lasers.

We hyped? Don't know shit about Railgun but the virtuaroid designs look nice at least.
I liked the novel even if it ends abruptely, litterally foreshadows bigger developments for ultimately nothing.

Is AM2 even alive? Last I heard they were doing a mobile/arcade game but nothing since then.

I like Index for the most part but that takes a back seat to the gameplay. I hope it delivers on that front at least, the rest is secondary.
