>New bossfights (such as Fallen Avatar mythic) are 18+mins long
>require perfect setup
>every character needs to do 5 things at once
>1 mistake is a wipe
>boss does 50 things over 6 phases
Why do vanilla babs still say that trash like Molten Core was harder, /v/? Is it nostalgia?
>>388094408
Nope, it was harder since people had to be careful not to outagrro the tanks. Basically, the difficulty of vanilla was because blizz fucked up tanking a lot and you could not do a single raid without a decent tank.
>punishing yourself with mythic
That's where your problem is.
>>388094408
I don't think anybody thinks that Vanilla raids were harder. But what WAS harder was the general game. Whether it be dungeons, quests, or just killing mobs. Things took co-operation. 90% of content in retail WoW can be done alone and that's disgusting because it's a fucking MMO. Only really I'm still subscribed is because the raids are fun and I am addicted to transmog.
Who was in the wrong here?

>Get a budget to make a game to be released in 2013
>2015 and the game is still half finished but you got time to put in a button to make your horse shit
Kojima obviously
The fucking Kojima fandom who wants to make a soap opera out of everything.

Phew. I was afraid this wouldn't get any responses. See you on there /v/rother.
Who you playing as?

Probably try out a few characters, Zidane and Squall first though. Ive never played Dissidia. It looks really confusing. Hope it isnt though.

Will the Addon be better than the main game, /v/? Looks at least fairly nice so far..
>Dude the main game sucks but the DLC is great!
-Literally every shitty PC exclusive
>>388093030
They're apparently unfucking the 3rd act of the game as well in a free patch and adding a new extra ending path.
>>388093030
Wait, I thought Paradox abandoned this game entirely?
>>388093184
>Dude the main game sucks
It doesn't. What content exists in the game is actually great, the problem is that the game is too limited with the roleplaying options and the ending is abrupt as fuck. This game LITERALLY needs more content and then it will be unarguably great, possibly on the level of PoE, which was amazing.
I know they're kind of a meme, but Telltale would be perfect for a proper Scooby-Doo game series that feels like playing the show.

>Audience would boo or cheer or laugh depending on your choice
>boot up this game to catch up on my retro backlog
>understand 2D platformers like this are completed when you move right far enough to reach the end "goal"
>completely, literally, blindsided by this enemy
How can a game about going right to win justify putting things in the way without some kind of tutorial to teach newcomers that they are a hazard? This kind of shit game design is why Nintendo has lost the eye of the modern gamer.
You literally can't defend this garbage trial and error design. But I know nu/v/ will sure as fuck try.
>>388093367
>figure out how to jump
>have to time it perfectly
>no onscreen prompt, have to figure out the timing on your own
Honestly OP it's such a shit game, poor design and definitely not fun.
>>388093367
I don't even know why literally the first NPC in the game is hostile. I try to walk up and talk to him and I get killed? I was just supposed to know I was supposed to kill him first before he even does anything? I must have missed the part where Mario is a 'stomp first ask questions later' type of guy.
>>388093367
Looks like we're going to have to remove any enemies in any game (too confusing for new players)
How does one truly learn and enjoy it at the same time.
>>388093308
Big tits.
You have to have a competitive mindset. If you are bitchmade then fighting games aren't for you.

But your pic is all butts
>game makes you get "captured" as part of the story
>doesn't give you your items back when you escape
>game makes you get "captured" as part of the story
>you're in a cell and you keep all your items
name 5 games that do this.
>Game wants you to be captured to continue a quest
>No option to kill the guys trying to capture you

Alright /v/. I want to find a way to convince EA or Maxis to put out the code for private servers for Darkspore, or at least release an offline patch. I really, really miss Darkspore, and I want to get to play it again.
I'm currently planning on handwriting letters to the heads of EA and Maxis. Is there anything else I should do to have a better chance of getting my game back?
Offer them several millions of dollars because that's all they care about.
>>388092880
fpbp
they won't released IP without loads of cash and they won't renew previously failed IP
its gone
Where you the guy trying to play Darkspore the other day? Anon..Look if it's a handwritten letter then maybe. Ventrue Prince will see that as a chance to improve EA's image or something.
Don't count on it though.

How the fuck did they release it like this?
>>388092243
Isn't that from 94? Giving your genre preference...Syndicate.
Well, I finished Sonic Mania. Anyone who says it's better than the originals is out of their mind or has never actually played them. Unfortunately, design-wise, the game is a total mess from top to bottom. The levels are confused mishmashes of pointless gimmicks, with no flow or sense of progression. It gets old, fast. And the bosses are simply atrocious. The Puyo Puyo one is cute, but the rest are just... way worse than even most actual 16 bit bosses. They in no way feel like anything that would be in an actual 2D Sonic game and are a huge detriment to the game in every way.
I'm not even really a big fan of Sonic 1-3, but I have to say that Mania made me appreciate them a lot more in retrospect. I may not agree with the tenets of their design, but at least they had design that wasn't just random gimmicks and visual setpieces. Occasionally Mania will copy/paste level design from one of them and it almost feels like a decent game until that part is over. It's sad. Overall, despite the genuine retro game aesthetic/atmosphere, I can't say I enjoyed actually playing Mania at all. Toward the end I was just really bored and waiting for it to be over, pretty much. I wouldn't recommend it even to Sonic fans.
Is this a fresh pasta?
>>388092167
Been playing Sonic games since 1993. Did not have this problem.
>Not even really a big fan of Sonic 1-3
This game was never for you
>>388092167
You'd have to give some specific examples of the "lack of flow", bad level design and bad boss design you're talking about, otherwise this is just rambling. You're being too vague
ITT: Games purely based on luck and not skill.
someone start
It's mostly luck but you still need skills to win a game
If it's 100% luck then how come I have 42% win rate in squads?
