>>2411102 Not him, I just want to say that your reasoning is terrible. A franchise can have a thread on /u/ simply because it has a gay anime even if its game is het (see: Nanoha, Koihime Musou), or has no yuri whatsover but fans love to ship cracks (see: Splatoon).
Having a thread on this board is therefore not a reason for it to be mentioned in Yuri Game thread. Games must be judged on its own merit. Anon even included the /v/ misclicking /u/ thread in the OP and uses a random Madoka fanart, wtf?
Where is the anon who regularly updates yuri game news every thread? Ask him/her to make an informative thread and report this cancer please.
Where's the guy who got so butthurt that they need to make a duplicate thread? The fucking idiot didn't need to make one just because of a petty argument. They wanna fix the goddamn op? Then fucking fix it or make the next one? Christ, OP didn't race you to it. They did everything normally and most likely made it during the night. Big shock, one of the only people up and caring about the thread made it when tired.
>>2411204 If you want to discuss the yuri in a game, regardless of whether it is a yuri game or not, you would talk about it in either it's own thread or here. If you came to this thread to talk about something like Umineko or Splatoon, then having the link at the top immediately makes you aware that a thread exists and redirects you so as to not clutter the thread.
And it isn't hurting anything to have extra related links. If someone wants to know how gay Splatoon is, they can click the link and go to the thread to ask. Why would anyone care about a few more related links at the top when considering how slow our threads are it will probably take up about half a second of your week to glance at it and move on. You can throw a fit about how Splatoon isn't yuri but everyone already knows that so what's the point? It's still a game with a thread for yuri.
The random Madoka art is probably because they are a /vg/ crossboarder trying to make people aware of the new Madoka mobage, I assume. Either that or they want to bait ACK for kicks. But the format of the post was copied from the previous thread and it was fine there. The non-game threads are another issue but presumably related to OP crossboarding/baiting and not understanding what is or is not a game thread. Since the thread has not been deleted despite presumably being reported multiple times, we are unfortunately stuck with the OP pic.
>A franchise can have a thread on /u/ simply because it has a gay anime even if its game is het (see: Nanoha) >Nanoha
>>2411235 >we are unfortunately stuck with the OP pic. >unfortunately There's nothing unfortunate about the pic despite idiots trying to stigmatize pictures applicable to the board. At least you're aware enough to figure out why it was used instead of the other fuckheads.
Now if we could actually get on topic, does anyone know how wol-sexual Stormblood is or hell if the Meguca mobage is terrible like every gacha based game?
>>2411235 The point is that not everybody knows. If someone saw a nice picture of two girls from a game, the first place they will come to ask is this thread because it's convenient, and also informative for everyone else who never knew it existed. Not everybody is concerned with a shipping fanart posting thread.
The links should pertain to threads that actually discuss the game. If it's just a trivious mobage with nearly no yuri such as Princess Principal, don't fucking link it because everybody only talks about anime there; just mention it in a short simple line as recent news post. That's how we've been rolling for years. Keep the OP useful, not inane canceruous newfaggotry shit like this one.
>>2411343 More importantly, it's completely unrelated to the contents of these game threads. OP made a thread with the exact same post yesterday, and it was rightfully deleted. This one should've joined it.
>>2411347 >it's completely unrelated to the contents of these game threads. >I can't read You wanna campaign against the notion of mobages being made at all go ahead, but when Meduka got a mobage it became doubly reasonable to post. In fact, it was already reasonable to post them because of a vn so don't be fucking retarded. Though you'll have your whiny wish if the assblasted anon forces autosage
>>2411350 I'm not the anon who posted it, but that image is yuri of a video game (Fate Grand Order), so I suppose it's okay here?
>>2411328 Yeah, I'm also hoping for Ilmeria- especially if Firis is included in the game, since she's (Ilmeria) is a tsundere for Firis. As for Plachta storywise leaving her out wouldn't make much sense considering that the plotline of Sophie creating a new human body for Plachta has yet to be resolved as of Firis..
>>2411450 The girl on the right looks a bit like Mashu, but it's actually not an FGO picture. But anyway, that anon was just being a retard and trying to make a point by posting a bunch of irrelevant images.
>>2411452 Furthermore, the story isn't even fully voiced. Instead the characters just moan bit-sized voices or one liners as if I'm playing one of those shitty online adult games. You know the ones meant to emulate a VN but the characters can either moan in agreement or disagreement and always using the same soundbytes.
No wonder it's almost always under it's fellow Bandai Namco counterparts like SIF and Derestage as well as games by bit-sized companies such as Donuts.
>>2411644 It was deleted because it was made hours later out of spite. This thread was first, and despite how shit the OP is there's no real reason to try to replace it. The only people really affected by the list and picture in the OP are the people who keep dumping pics, thinking they're clever.
I'm not sure why I'm giving a serious explanation to bait.
>>2411651 >no matter how shit the OP is That's not how it works. Threads with shitty OPs have been deleted before plenty of time. Newfaggotry should not be tolerated, because half of the thread will constantly be filled with this kind of shitty argument instead of talking about game, as demonstrated by last thread and this one.
And no, "why don't you shut up then?" is not a valid argument, when the OP IS the faggot who do something that pisses off the majority of posters, just like Mugino and Shin. If he indeed wants to have a productive thread, he would have ceased his cancer and listened to the complaints. His constant disregard was proof that he just wants to cause shit. We don't tolerate that kind of cancer on 4chan, and what we do is bullying them until they fuck off to leddit.
Enjoy an unproductive thread until it hits bump limit.
Are there any decent action/adventure games coming out that are coming out or should I just default to some minuscule fantasy idea slipping itself into the likes of density 2?
>>2411659 >That's not how it works. >Newfaggotry...filled with shitty arguments... The ironing. Okay last post about how dumb you're being because your butthurt under the veneer of concern is getting old.
>>2411659 >If he indeed wants to have a productive thread, he would have ceased his cancer and listened to the complaints. His constant disregard was proof that he just wants to cause shit. Especially considering he used the exact same OP to make a thread the day before this one, and it was promptly deleted.
>>2411702 Density 1 is that of a typical neutron star, the second densest object in the universe. Density 2 is that of the girl you want to confess your love to, and the actual densest thing known to man. Through actions both direct and subtle can you convince your girl that you want to be a lot more than friends.
>>2411865 >which is a pretty basic fetish Don't forget where you are. Getting into actual voyeurism, then yeah that's weird but what anon's talking about is several fucking steps detached from actual voyeurism. Don't equate it to voyeurism if that's your knee-jerk reaction to someone not self-inserting.
>>2411865 That's not really voyeurism. Most voyeurs are getting off not only to the thing they're, er, voyeuring, but also to the fact that they're not really supposed to watch it, can be caught, etc. Getting off to two characters getting it on on the screen is the same as getting off to porn.
I was really lucky that the torrent still worked. I have to thank a kind Italian user who shared it completely tonight. The torrent includes three more visual novels, but none of them are yuri except for this one. In fact, one of them looks a bit disturbing, the hoarder inside me is even doubting about keeping it or not.
>>2412224 It is a yuri visual novel that most or all of its download links were dead. Like the K-ON ones from the previous thread but in this case I thought I was not going to find it. I think it is also on dlsite, but ugh I love finding things and I am really stubborn.
>>2412983 I was looking for 闇夜に踊れ -Witch wishes to commit the night- some time ago and found a torrent that had it along with more games/visual novels. Then I tried to check which games were yuri or included yuri in some sort when I found out these gems.
>>2413890 Weird, I'm playing a Ranger (just got to Part 2 actually, first time playing and have shit health because damage, damage and more damage) and I didn't make the connection with those ghost ladies disappearing in the walls with 'beckoning' and more like here's the way.
>>2413931 Well, you hardly have to play the others as melee. One of the most popular builds at the moment is Marauder as spellcaster for example, and the majority of Templar builds are probably spellcasters since Inquisitor is so great for spells. There are a ton of spellcasting Shadow builds too.
Stargazers looks like it's getting some famous VAs. For the ones with previous yuri experience, there's Yayoi Kunizuka from Psycho-Pass, Nipa from Strike Witches/Brave Witches, Takami from Brave Witches, and Hitsugi from Akuma no Riddle.
>>2414768 Ehhhh...ehhhhh...does anyone...really hate the mech designs? My two favorite genres are Yuri and Mecha, but in terms of mecha...it seems to be really lacking. (Especially after playing the new Battletech reboot) Especially when compared to the legendary Simoun.
>>2414920 >inspired by 50s and 80s Scifi, Pulp Fiction, and Mecha anime!
>In The Stargazers, we were strongly inspired by pulp sci-fi stories, art deco and deco punk movements, as well as electronica music and classic anime. The great space epics from Dune to mecha anime like Gundam and Voltron also played a role in our character and mecha design.
>The Stargazers pays homage to mecha anime and space opera, with massive ship battles and larger-than-life villains. It's also deeply romantic, like classic yuri visual novels.
>>2414915 There's a MUCH better Yuri Mecha VN that's pretty long. Its Gundam, and has a English translation (text only though) Writing is pretty decent, but I enjoyed it most for the combination of Yuri and Mecha.
>>2414960 Untranslated, it's a game called Tokyo Necro. Half Yuri, has a male and a female prot. The female, Ethica, is an open lesbian, and has a steady girlfriend. (Surprisingly for a game with so much guro, all her sex scenes are with girls. No het rape.)
Anyone started reading Kotonoha Amrilato? I know some of you read the demo, but I didn't make much progress there until the full version came out (the box is on the way, but meanwhile I torrented it). Obviously it feels a bit weird that Juliamo sounds much less otherworldly than Japanese itself, but since I don't know Esperanto yet - it still works.
Was pretty surprised that Ruka is so energetic and forceful despite appearances.
>>2414869 Simoun's mech designs were all right, but they suffered a lot from the production values and DEEEEEN and from the unfortunate early digital time period the series was made in. Honestly, the art in the series in general didn't age well - that said, I've only watched it for the first time not too long ago, so the impression must've been vastly different ten years ago.
>>2415160 I'm halfway through the game. Box is also on my way but I torrented it too. I didn't get most of the Juilamo lines in the beginning so I either skipped them or tried to decipher single words which resembled some words from other European languages. I like it so far, it's a bit heavy on Esperanto but they explain everything. Had to look up some words/tables/grammar rules myself but I enjoy doing it. Ruka is best girl imo, she's really cute and her voice too (Warspite's voice from KanColle, though I don't play that one anymore). As for yuri, there wasn't much yet, well, aside from some blushing and "kawaii" lines, but I've seen some screenshots on their website, so I expect it soon. MC switches between study mode and story mode. There were some quizzes on Juliamo vocabulary somewhere in the first half but I haven't seen any quizzes since then. They're pretty easy though. You can pick between easy, normal and hard mode. Though they do start to speak a lot of Japanese afterwards since Rin finds out that Rei, the librarian, is Japanese herself. Ruka also tries to talk in Japanese too to communicate with Rin, although she's learning it currently.
>>2415213 >there wasn't much yet From the very beginning, though, there's, surprisingly, quite a lot of skinship initiated by Ruka.
Indeed, Ruka is best girl, and as for the voices, they've got good VAs for everyone, YuYuYu's Karin for Rin, Sarah Emi Bridcutt for Rei. The language learning part is actually pretty nice and makes me wish that I could learn an actually useful language like that... Not that Esperanto isn't, but it's reeeeally niche.
>>2415259 >The language learning part is actually pretty nice and makes me wish that I could learn an actually useful language like that... Not that Esperanto isn't, but it's reeeeally niche. Same to be honest, but I guess learning something like German or French, or Spanish would be much more complicated to explain in a VN (Esperanto should be one of the easier languages to learn?), and maybe more readers would know at least of one of the more popular languages already and would just skip all the grammar and learning stuff. Which isn't the point of this game. Now I hope that my brain can actually remember all the stuff told in the game.
>>2415323 Yeah, I'm pretty sure Esperanto was picked mostly because almost nobody (at least in Japan) knows it. J-MENT had a lot of tweets about that back when he first leaked the concept, but I'm too lazy to dig them up to confirm what was the specific reason.
>just skip all the grammar and learning stuff Well, technically the game does have this option in case people want to. But I agree that it's kind off missing the point.
>Now I hope that my brain can actually remember all the stuff told in the game. Come on, you actually learned moon, I'm sure you can handle a language that, indeed, was designed to be fairly simple to learn for those who're familiar with Indo-European languages. Plus it's often Ruka teaching you, that's gotta count for something, too.
>tfw all these slavic-sounding letters like Ц, Ч or Ш (ts, tch, sh) Thank god it doesn't have Ы, fine by me, but would be hell for everyone else. I still have trouble figuring out H/Ĥ, though.
Been playing a heavil modified Darkest Dungeon playthrough, and it's pretty great. Using one that changes the gender of some classes, and it's kinda sad seeing the female Highwayman talking about her dead wife, and the Vestal getting worried the other girls in her party are going to try and rape her, to take her virginity.
>>2415373 >Plus it's often Ruka teaching you, that's gotta count for something, too. True words.
>Thank god it doesn't have Ы, fine by me, but would be hell for everyone else. I still have trouble figuring out H/Ĥ, though. I, on the other hand, don't have any troubles with H/Ĥ (but would most likely have some with the other slavic-sounding letters you wrote). Ĥ sounds a lot like ch/kh (like the ch in Bach from the composer J.S.Bach), here's a sample https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0f/Voiceless_velar_fricative.ogg. But then again, I'm sure the Japanese VAs don't pronounce the Esperanto words 100% correctly anyway...
>>2415507 It's not a matter of "probably". For instance, Curtis LeMay's bombing campaign against Japan specifically targeted civilians, leading to half a million deaths. During the occupation of Okinawa, American troops raped thousands of women.
Which isn't to say the two sides were morally equivalent, but there you go.
>>2415624 It's because the writing is terrible, the art is terrible, or a combination of the two. Not to mention, not a single one with good gameplay. None of that dating sim crap. Speaking of sim crap, the yuri version of nicole is never coming out, is it? I wonder if they even remember talking about it...
>>2415634 >Not to mention, not a single one with good gameplay.
The western games with yuri have much better gameplay than the jvns with yuri
>Speaking of sim crap, the yuri version of nicole is never coming out, is it? I wonder if they even remember talking about it...
do they remember talking about it? gee, I wonder, considering HOW OFTEN they bring up the 'cursed game' and describe what's gone on with it most recently
will it ever come out? i don't know and don't really care, it's been batted from writer to writer so often that I can't imagine the end result will actually be any good. but acting like they're just swept it under the rug and pretended it didn't happen is pretty much the opposite of reality
>/u/ complaining whenever someone even mentions a western VN for being 'badly written >constantly plugs Winged Cloud which is the epitome of mass produced garbage for idiots who have more money than sense
>>2415869 I have never seen anyone here actually plug winged cloud. We admit they exist. We bitch about their lack of desire to make a decent yuri game with a plot, or even to finish their one half-assed attempt at a plot from previously (fantasy). We comment on their releases and give out their patreon exclusives free because fuck those guys.
>>2415869 >/u/ complaining whenever someone even mentions a western VN for being 'badly written Most stories in general are written poorly, so of course most western VNs are garbage. Most Japanese VNs are too, except we don't get most of them to read in English so there's less to complain about as an EOP. The only games made available to us tend to be what people consider to be the "best".
If you actually didn't understand this you're a moron.
>>2415984 are you desperate for a VN in the sense of a romance, or in the sense of some artwork involving shiny boobs rubbing over shiny boobs? because if the latter is all you want go for it. just don't expect the text to be more than cardboard paste
>>2415984 Sakura Dungeon is the best thing they've done, and is genuinely decent. Entertaining characters, lo9ts of content, and actual gameplay. Fantasy also had some interesting stuff, but it's just part 1, and probably never going to be continued.
>>2416126 There was a guy that actually created a content addition mod for Dungeon that expanded some character interactions and improved the gameplay. I'd recommend looking into the mod before playing it.
>>2416319 Kicktraq bases its 'trending towards' on how much a campaign earns on that particular day, it's why it constantly updates and changes. For example on the 1st day of AA's campaign when it made the most money it was trending towards making £100k+ It's completely unreliable in that sense.
>>2416323 Don't know if the general kickstarter trends have changed in the last few years but at this point it doesn't even look like it's going to get funded at all. Projects that are only at 11% of their goal after the initial rush are overwhelmingly likely to fail, and badly. The general rule of thumb used to be that you'll make around one third of the total in the first few days, around one third in the last few days, and around one third in the remaining time.
>>2416164 What exactly does "expanded interactions" entail?
The revolving door aspect of your party was one of the weakest parts of the game. Usually before you even have time to develop an attachment to one character she's out. Also it would have been nice to have given the option to give generic monstergirls names.
I hope whenever they do their next dungeon crawler it's something more in the vein of Dungeon Travelers, with a cast of defined characters that you can change the classes of and so forth.
Anyone joining this? I feel like the rules have turned into a vague word salad since the last two jams, but in the end it becomes what people make of it. I doubt anybody is going to submit a game that's not about lesbians just because they can.
>>2416962 Speaking of Western. What's the best way to get in contact people who write the 4chan Rules?
Nothing against Western yuri/femslash but I think /u/Rule 1 should either be amended or deleted since it's becoming increasingly clear that the Mods and other /u/sers don't care if it's Western and not of Japanese origin as long as it's two girls kissing and there's enough fuel to suggest the girls would kiss.
>>2416893 Okay I might disagree about trans but at least I get their logic for it. What even is the reasoning for allowing aromantic or 'any female-identified LGBTQIA characters' in a jam specifically about lesbian romance?
>>2416827 The fact that the first sentence of the first rule is identical to the previous years suggests that it was always allowed and yet nobody actually did it (though I didn't play all the games so maybe I'm wrong).
I don't know why everyone is expecting fifty dicks to fly out of their screen.
>>2417023 Clearly it's so that you can enter a subtext game into the Yuri Jam. These two women actually love each other, but because they're ace they can only express it through a miserable series of "accidents" during club activities.
Also so that you can enter a game about female-identified characters such as boats and countries.
>>2417024 It's even the same hosts. I doubt there's anything to worry about.
>>2417055 Either have two asexuals together who love each other but don't need/want to have sex with each other or the asexual pleasures her partner because she wants her to feel good but doesn't need anything herself.
>>2417055 Honestly this is pretty easy to imagine. Basically two girls dating, flirting, kissing but neither wanting sex. I've actually read a few f/f books with relationships that were so chaste that they could be interpreted as asexual. My question is how the fuck is aromantic yuri possible?
>>2417023 >What even is the reasoning Not wanting to offend people, probably, combined with trying too hard to make the rules clear rather than ~handwave~
I mean, you start off with "Lesbian romance!" and people will start asking questions like "What if one of my characters is bi, is that forbidden? What if my game is about lesbians but they aren't dating?"
And then when they answer those, they have to update the rules to "games featuring queer female characters". And then, because the internet is FULL of this sort of person, they will promptly get a bunch of questions about 'Is trans okay? What qualifies as queer? Ace is under the queer umbrella, right? What if my OC was AFAB but NB and uses they/them?'
at least half these questions are probably asked by kids who will not manage to write even a demo, they're just daydreaming or wanting to be sure that their own personal snowflakeness is validated by someone.
IIRC most actual games released for the jam turn out to be normal lesbian stuff with a small minority of translesbians and nothing particularly weird, although the 'in progress' ideas often contain some seriously weird and ugly ideas.
>>2416706 >The revolving door aspect of your party was one of the weakest parts of the game. Usually before you even have time to develop an attachment to one character she's out. Unfortunately that's one of the main selling points of the game. Roguelikes, meh. I just want to crawl dungeons and torment my characters' sanity. Like, I don't mind punishing difficulty as much as I dislike the permanence of it.
>>2417136 Because conveniently enough, most transsexuals who are vocal (that I have seen at least) have a preference for females and not males. And I don't believe a good number of them about them feeling like females.
>>2417136 did you never hang out on /lgbt/? stereotypically, transmen are known for their chill. they don't get bent out of shape yelling at jams to ensure they are represented. they just want to watch the game and have a brew.
>Check out the post below this one or the About page for any changes to the rules (there aren’t any really), and feel free to send asks. We have stated the rules as clearly as possible this year, so hopefully that should mitigate any confusion about what is and isn’t considered appropriate jam material.
>>2417127 is right, the jam organizers are just trying to preempt the questions that got asked last year.
Okay, I finally skimmed through Atlach-Nacha and now I'm left feeling really bitter.
Before diving into the game, I already braced myself for unpleasant het backstory i.e.both Kanako and Hatsune having been raped by men before. I can endure that if it's just a history footnote and the whole main plot is yuri. Never did I expect Hatsune to be raped by Shirogane in the final battle and impregnated by him, then she transfered her child to Kanako. What the fuck? I'm genuinely angry by this genetic cuckhold. It doesn't matter if the whole story is a compelling written romance with complex and badass characters who only love each other. It's all meaningless if the end result is just a subverted version of a lesbian marrying a guy because reasons.
Is it too much to ask for a good dark story where the lesbians belong to only each other in every sense? Hatsune literally has a spider dick, she could have impregnated Kanako with magic, no need to spoil the story with an epic punch in the face "lol the dead villain still won because the child is his." This kind of tragic ending is just bitter loss, not a bittersweet win-lost situation like Madoka or Saya no Uta. In Madoka, Madoka is erased from existence but at least the world is saved. In Saya no Uta, the world is doomed but at least Saya managed to give birth to her abominable children (or pregnant Saya die but at least the world is saved).
I'm angry because the story is really, really well-written otherwise. I love the two girls very much. Hatsune is badass and justifiably evil and only showed hints of humanity around Kanako; Kanako is in understandably in love with a manipulative murderer because that's the only person who ever cared to save her from a hellish life. I need someone to do a rewrite, please rescue this tragic predatory cannibal x her cute kitten from the evil clutches of het.
>>2417409 Despite all the /u/ memes, it really isn't a yuri game. It's made by a hetshit company, filled with hetshit and it targeted hetshit fetishists who like to see girls suffer. This company then made Rance. A franchise where a guy rapes every women he comes across.
>>2417414 The sad thing is that 99% of bonafide yuri games out there can't match Atlach-Nacha in term of writing quality. Plot, characters, romance, it's perfect of what I want in my yuri.
It's one thing if the het rape plays a pivotal role in the story, but here, the story would remain perfectly unchanged if the ones I mentioned didn't happen. That's what annoyed me the most. Lost opportunity.
>>2417425 Whatever you say. I bet /u/ would be all over Atlach-Nacha if Kanako had never been raped and was saved by Hatsune from an attempt of it, if Hatsune had never been raped but simply killed, if the child at the end is teuly Hatsune and Kanako's.
>>2417416 I see, I bought it via denpasoft (though I didn't receive any download link yet). There's also no steam page for the 2nd part yet (or will they merge it with the first part?), so my guess is they still need to release it on steam.
>>2417409 If I recall, Hatsune did that so Kanko wouldn't kill herself, which she was about to do, because Hatsune basically used everything up in a final attack to ice Silver, and she would always have a part of her left. It was one of her humanizing moments to be frank.
Its gets worse in the after story. Kanako is still love with Hatsune, and because the baby looks like Hatsune in every way, she's convinced IT'S Hatsune. There's a creepy implication she's falling in love with her own child.
I can't believe you expected a good ending for Hatsune when she spent the entire game, raping innocent young girls, and devouring innocent young men. She's a monster, a monster that's very tragic, but she's still a monster. Hatsune even calls it, "Karma."
It does have a very positive message though. Lesbian relationships are infinitely stronger then hetero relationships. Kanako has an opportunity to marry a guy, which will make her life better. She turns it down to remain faithful to Hatsune. Kanako's and Hatsune's relationship mirrors Shiroganes, and yet instead of ending horribly, Hatsune grows to love Kanako.
The main takeaway I got, was life sucks, humanity is evil, but at least there's lesbian love in the world.
>>2417765 Adding onto this what she does to Hatsune's childhood friend/the boy who likes her is really fucking disturbing. One minute, she's having tea with a blanket of webs with the love of her life, the other she's brutally emotionally abusing her. It was an abusive relationship at the end of the day. Hatsune is evil. If was reading my translation correctly, she has sex with Kanko infront of his half eaten corpse.
>>2417777 To be fair, it's not like Taosym can be trusted to deliver content even if he gets the money to do so. Maybe people are finally learning that his Kickstarter campaigns are always going to lead to rushed shit at best, never released stuff at worst.
>>2417926 It's hilarious when /u/ constantly shares Winged Cloud and Dharker Studio's games here, and promotes them, both studios having run several Kickstarters, sometimes back to back, and sometimes two Kickstarters at the same time, for several years straight. But because someone on /u/ has a bug up their ass about this one guy they have to mention the fact he ran a Kickstarter 5 years ago which he is regularly posting updates about.
>inb4 accusations of being a fan of his for pointing out your hipocrisy
>>2417959 And shitting on them as well. What's your point? You're currently sharing Taosym and nobody is telling you to stop. They're just saying the same thing they've said about other western devs: That they're shit.
>>2417954 >Dharker Studio's games here, and promotes them we slag off aj tilley every time his name is mentioned (while reluctantly admitting that negligee was at least playable) he was MUCH more of a shit on kickstarter than futatao and everyone knows it stop being such a little bitch
>>2417960 /u/ mindlessly reposts WC/Dharker games for years
It's incredibly suspicious when posters post devs who have proven scam people and astroturf their shitty games. Some dev makes one KS 5 years ago, and you can't post about their game. But WC/Dharker makes several KSs a year while scamming people and /u/ doesn't criticize them ever? Very suspicious.
And I know the first response to this will be distraction and deflection, not asking why what's going on looks exactly like astroturfing.
>>2417983 No, all of them. Don't make me search for this garbage. Look it up on Steam I think it didn't release yet but description for all girls mention them now preparing themselves for boyfriends after experimenting.
>>2418053 I'd love to see it, because /u/ has entire WC/Dharker threads going. There have been more discussion about WC on /u/ than all of Razzart's games combined. And you'd be deluded if you don't think it's 90% astroturfing.
>>2418068 >defending the shit out of WC/Dharker by saying that they suck and are shitbags? where is ANYONE in this thread defending them?
>>2418059 Aaaaaahhh I see, you are claiming this happens in separate threads and not the yuri games thread? I know there was a negligee thread once. I didn't read it. There was also a starlight vega thread though.
Are there current WC threads I don't know about?
Yes generally in any case where there's a thread devoted to a single western game it gets bumped by the dev at least once, Highway Blossoms certainly did. That doesn't really mean /u/ as a whole supports it, it's just inevitable when you have a thread about something and anon posting, the devs will show up and try to keep the thread alive for attention.
>>2418079 The R-18 segments are quite questionable, but the rest is a pretty decent read. There was enough cute gay girls banter that I bought part two. I'm still only an hour into it though, so final verdict is still up in the air.
>>2418116 The scenes themselves are pretty cute, mostly. The ridiculous proportions made me laugh though along with some extremely porn-y lines. Opinions about the R-18 scenes probably varies depending on your tolerance level for hentai dialogue.
>>2418114 This is what happens when anyone criticizes WC/Dharker on this board, deflection, distraction, redirection.
>It's not us it's you >You must be X developer >Lurk more >Conspiracy theorist >Who's defending them? (in response to half the thread defending them)
Keep in mind this only happens when WC/Dharker is brought up. Nothing brings out the astroturfers like saying anything bad about these two devs. It makes you think, if /u/ didn't care about any dev, than why do they rush to the defense so much whenever these devs are mentioned, and ignore this board getting constant WC/Dharker promos posted everywhere like earlier in this thread. Pointing this out just leads to the astroturfers to accuse you of causing a conspiracy theory.
Makes you wonder why you're not allowed to criticize these two devs.
>>2418129 You have brain damage, WC/AJ get shat on all the time in these threads and elsewhere.
For the record while AJ abuses the hell out of crowfunding, WC doesn't. They ran 1 crowdfunding campaign years ago for an otome and later canceled it, refunding their backers. Every game of theirs since has been self funded or funded through patreon.
>>2418129 But you are! You are doing it right now.
Literally no one is telling you to not criticize other shady devs, just finding it odd you seem to want to do it as a distraction from someone actually relevant over having a KS going on right now. If you're not doing that, don't let me stop you from shitting on them as well. Taosym has no monopoly on being a complete pain to backers and going from publisher to publisher for handouts to shit out unfinished kusoge.
>>2418133 The only time anyone actually criticized AJ Tilley was when I bring up yuri with boyfriends and his behavior of scamming artists. This thread and many threads just push his games constantly without any discussion.
If you actually discussed why the Kickstarter is bad I'd join you, but people used it as a distraction to avoid talking about WC/Dharker
Also Dharker has actually done multiple Kickstarters at once, been caught stealing from artists, scamming artists and writers and releasing broken games. Don't pretend AJ's shit doesn't stink.
>>2418149 >Literally right above the post that started this whole argument is WC astroturfing with promo CGs and praising WC.
okay i scrolled up through the thread to figure out what you were talking about. you mean the post of a sugar's delight CG, after which people posted some off-topic WC images, which was immediately followed by >>2415869 your first post complaining about how everyone loves Winged Cloud?
There are zero, count them, zero posts praising WC between those CGs and your post. One post asking if that's Sugar's Delight. One reply to a Darkest Dungeon post. One person talking about Winter Wolves. One person saying Warriors All-Star is out on Steam (which got completely overlooked). One post dismissively saying that Sugar's Delight turned into "Sakura Whatever".
No praise. No plugging. Then you start whining about how much they're being plugged. The next reply points out that we think WC are shits actually.
So, once again, WHERE are all these posts mindlessly singing their praises that you keep complaining about?
>>2417765 I'm not asking for a happy ending. I'm asking for a yuri ending.
Hatsune didn't deserve to be impregnated by her fucking enemy in the end. The child in Kanako's womb is not Kanako's, but between Hatsune and Shirogane. The yuri got fucking NTR'd by het. Kanako did not "fall in love with her own child." She's falling in love with the child of her love.
What I want is for Hatsune to impregnate Kanako with her futa spider dick, then die from her injury just like what happened. There, greatest love story ever told. No het needed.
Hatsune is allowed to be evil; she's had a tragic past and she needed food to survive. Most of her victims are nastier people who deserve death anyway, particularly Kanako's rapists.
>>2418524 I haven't played it but I agree this sounds perfectly reasonable to want. I mean if the girl's already got a futadick you don't need to pull a villain-rape workaround to get a baby, duh.
(I've read a LOT of lesbian fiction where one of the pairing was either married first before realising she liked girls, or raped by a villain right before or during the beginning of the relationship, because the author really really wanted the couple to have a baby together and it was too early a setting for IVF.)
I mean, I wouldn't care to the degree of thinking it's not a yuri ending anymore, but I don't see why they bothered writing itt that way.
>>2418079 Ne no Kami is nothing like Akaiito/Aoishiro. Sure it's also centered around Japanese mythology, but it's nowhere nearly as atmospheric nor serious as the two Success games. The jokes are much more anime-ish kind of dumb, the romance are less tastefully developed (but at least it's blatant lesbianism rather than subtext). Its genre is military action instead of horror mystery.
>>2418532 Yeah it always infuriates me, a lot of yuri authors (west and nip alike) think the only way for historical lesbians to have a kid is by getting a man to fuck one of them. WTF? Even back then, you can easily have them adopt an orphan (the kid of the enemy you killed if you want bittersweet flavor). And in fantasy settings, give one of the girls a dick through magic/potion FFS.
If I could, I'd bitchslap any yuri author who dares writing shit like that without warning. Literally got burned just a year ago when I read a nice Elsanna fic that developed perfectly, Elsa also has magic like her canon self (which usually translates to ice dick if she needs to produce an heir for the kingdom). But no, the goddamn author made her fuck a faceless dude in the epilogue to get a child. It's like suckerpunch.
Fortunately there are many sensible authors these days who utilize the use of magic/alchemy to give us actual yuri babies.
>>2418524 Maybe they didn't want Kanako to be forever alone, so they made the baby not blood related to her to imply a relationship could happen in the future. Are there any hints the child is Hatsune's reincarnation? It's possible that Kanako's attraction to the child could've been hinting that.
>>2418558 The child is not a reincarnation. Kanako named her Hatsune and she looks like Hatsune, but still her own person (no memory transfer or shit like that). This new Hatsune is also a spider demon since both her mom and dad are one.
I don't think it has anything to do with the developer wanting Kanako to not be alone. It's a very fetishtic game with a lot of rapes so the final rape was intentional. The ending was clearly intentionally incestuous too (even if the child isn't Kanako's by blood, the game still played up the coming out of her womb detail and the new Hatsune got freaked out after her mother kissed her and decided to run away from home).
>>2418129 If what you're claiming (/u/ having a bias for WC) is true, then how come nobody in this thread has defended WC? Everybody who is shitting on you is also shitting on WC at the same time, literally nobody is saying WC games are "better".
If you want to be a liar, at least put in some effort. You're just a butthurt developer who is bitter that people call your stuff shitty.
>>2418573 Yeah. During the game you'll have a choice to rape or kill or enthrall different people; different combination will let you see entirely different plot; but they'll all cumulate into 1 same ending.
I'm not familiar with western devs. I just wanna ask why are the art in many western games so unappealing?
Since they call their game "yuri" and do participate /u/ threads, I'm assuming they like anime artstyle in general and thus can tell what don't look good. Then why don't they hire artists whose arts can actually attract /u/ demographic? I saw a bunch of tumblr artists drawing nice fanarts for anime, so surely there can't be a lack of talent.
>>2418694 >I saw a bunch of tumblr artists drawing nice fanarts for anime, so surely there can't be a lack of talent. It is legitimately difficult to find artists who aren't shit and are willing to do the amount of work necessary to complete a game. Artists are huge flakes. A lot of people start to make games and then the artist drops out midway through and they either end up with a patchwork of styles or they have to start over from scratch.
>>2418719 i'm not the other poster and I don't care either, but i wouldn't put a surprise futa h-scene in a game at the end because that would piss people off. either don't explain how they get preggo and let people make up whatever info they want, or be clear that your game has occasional /d/
>>2418694 I'd assume it's because the west doesn't have such a long tradition of using VNs as a medium in general.
Probably a tons of japanese kids leave school dreaming of being illustrators in games, while most art-inclined fellas in the west think of lending their craft to comics and physical media. Japan also has a long tradition of embracing fan content, while making good fan content in the west usually merits a cease-and-desist. This all results in a smaller pool of competent artists willing to draw for your games, as working for indie games just isn't considered an immediate option from their point of view.
If you visit pixiv, you'll se thousands of genuinely good artists working hard at what they do, selling web doujin and setting up for any fan event that pops up. If you visit deviantart... you get deviantart.
>>2418721 It's pointless, though. If your world has magic that can make girls grow dicks, then it can also have magic to induce pregnancy by other means that don't involve dicks. So in that setting, the only reason to have magical dicks is to cater to futa fans.
>>2418725 Or simply cater to people who don't care about occasional futa.
Not all magical settings are vague fairytale handwaving that can let you impregnate a girl from afar. In an alchemist world whose only supernatural elements are potions for example, it's much more convincing to produce a mysterious futa drug than to spit into the cauldron and let your girlfriend drink it to get pregnant. In short, it heavily depends on the internal logic of the setting.
>>2418524 It's not fetishistic. Atlach-Nacha rape scenes are pretty brutal, and not titillating in any way. The closest you have to fan service is Hatsune and Kananko's sex scenes.
Life sucks. Hatsune gets raped, after raping and eating so many people. Boo hoo. There was a horrible situation, and instead of thinking selfishly, like she usually does, Hatsune decided to give Kanako another Hatsune so she's not lonely. It's fucked up, but Hatsune is a really fucked up person.
It's a yuri incest end. The implication is Kanako is going to try and take little Hatsune for herself.
>>2418780 Are you stupid? Have you even read rape doujinshi, or do you just assume all of these fetishtic doujins never feature brutality? Brutal rape in itself is a fetish, with severe degradation, violent beating, punching in the victim's face, and the rapists are sometime killed by the victim at the end too as a sort of justice.
It doesn't take a genius to understand the author of this sort of thing is criticizing rape. They are literally enjoying this kind of fetish. Having a rape fetish doesn't always equal to defending the rapist as the righteous one.
>>2418767 >it's much more convincing to produce a mysterious futa drug than to spit into the cauldron and let your girlfriend drink it to get pregnant How the fuck is a magic potion that temporarily modifies a woman's body to the point that she can now impregnate another woman the old-fashioned way more convincing than a magic potion that uses a woman's genetic material as ingredient to make another woman pregnant? The hang-ups people have about making magic babies are downright baffling at times.
>>2418937 Nobody argues futa is yuri nor want to post it on /u/. If you hadn't been stupid enough to claim all yurifags are allergic to temporary futa then people wouldn't need to point out your stupidity. The other anon has a point: most of /u/ are very openminded about this sort of content even if they don't discuss it here.
>>2418830 It has two-folds. First, it's psychologically easier to accept the baby is truly the other girl's child through traditional sex. That's how most human's brains work, thus provide greater satisfaction to the readers. There's no need to depict the futa scene, just the knowledge that that's what happened makes it feel good to know.
Second, the other idea (turning somatic cells into germ cells not with science but with magic) is emotionally blander. The realistic iPS tecnology is enticing because it has feasibility on its side, which outweights the sterile idea of impregnating another girl without sexual contact. Without feasibility, that kind of idea is too sterile (compared to the other option) in a magical world. Blandness is the bane of authors who like the fantasy genre in the first place..
Not to say magical potion iPS is a bad idea though. I'd welcome it if someone writes such a plot. I'm just pointing out why many yurifags would rather a subtext temporary futa. It has everything to do with the idea of a child conceived through sex with nothing to do with wanting to see dick.
>>2418767 >spit into the cauldron and let your girlfriend drink it to get pregnant I'm positive I read a h manga like this not too long ago. It was something like one girl has to take a "get pregnant" drug and the other girl has to take a "impregnate someone" drug and then they just have to kiss or whatever.
Anyway, clearly the best way to have pregnancy is to have the girls trib and one girl lays a magical egg into the other.
>>2418978 >It has everything to do with the idea of a child conceived through sex I can understand that, but why then go straight to "therefore a penis must goes into a vagina?" I don't find a potion that temporarily turns a woman into a futa any more convincing or believable than a potion that for example temporarily allows a woman to get pregnant with her partner's child through extensive skin to skin contact while she's feeling sexual pleasure. While it may seem like I'm jumping through hoops to justify not involving a penis, that'd be ignoring how big of a hoop temporarily giving a woman a fully functional penis she can use to impregnate another woman actually is.
Before this thread dies I'd like to point out that women obviously don't have sperm, so any futa potion would also have to give them testicles to actually work for the purpose of impregnation. Which is gross.
So now you're making several organs spontaneously out of literally nothing and then adding and wiring them to someone's central nervous and cardiovascular systems when instead you could have just done something like a love potion (the first person you touch, or tuned to whoever owns the piece of hair you put in it) except it impregnates people.
