For one short moment I actually thought they would have the guts to make them lesbians, but in the next second they shot that and the sister option down.
She said similar people shared their desire including parents, siblings, lovers, friends which puts these categories into a separate group from them. If they were indeed in love, the princess would have had to express herself differently. I guess it's going to be some kind of camaraderie to change the world or some such. Quite a shame.
By that logic, they were never even friends. She's talking about how the wall seperates people other than them, and thus that she can't just run away to Casablanca and only fix their own problem.
That's stretching a bit even for mental gymnastics, onee-sama.
Watching episode 3.
Beato is kinda of annoying. Her character is all right, but her voice is unbearable to listen.
This. Also, between this, the way the two interact, official art and how princess is being set up for an arranged marriage plot, it all points to their relationship being romantic in nature.
Siblings includes brothers and sisters. You'd have to put them in a weird category like clones if they actually shot down all those groups. Chances are this is a prince and the pauper situation, who knows how gay this will turn tough. That magazine scan said it was a "love affair", sure official art gays things up but still.
It's even worse in the game. I had her character leveled up and she gets pretty strong, but I can't have her in my team for prolonged period because her voice is so annoying. It's pretty funny though how she always brings up the princess, for example saying "Hime-sama, please look at what I'm doing" when activating her skill.
>But Beato and Dorothy scenes were nice.
Yeah. Double deito episode when?
Because Dorothy believed that she could patch things up with him, but now even the possibility was taken from her, she can't have a happy ending anymore and she'll spend the rest of her life wondering if she could have done things differently.
How strong is Princess? Maybe Ange can just tie her up, take her to casablanca, have like 2 cavorite babies with her, and she'd stay there forever.
Ange with Princess super happy.
Ange in 3p not so happy.
Princess with no Ange does not starve.
Just learned about this after not having much time to check out the new season. Want to try watching it with a friend of mine but she's allergic to fanservice, especially loliservice. How is this show in terms of that?
I always hate when All-girl-cast animes do Male centric episodes, because they only ever fuck things up, but this time it was nicely done. Not only that they didn't forget to include a nice moment for the OTP.
Hats off to the writers.
I even held back a tear at the end. Hope Dorothy gets a "Duel of the Fates" with that brown bitch soon.
>Not only that they didn't forget to include a nice moment for the OTP.
Whoever is doing the subs I'm watching apparently thought it wasn't worth subbing the letter containing important character and plot information that's never been said in conversation yet.
>she's allergic to fanservice, especially loliservice
Are you sure you want to be friends with a girl that is uncomfortable with looking at the bodies of other girls? I don't think this bodes well for your chances of converting her to o/u/r side.
Ange: Don't be like this, and you're too close.
Princess: Eh? Is this no good? Can't we be like how we were back then?
Ange: Of course not--
Princess: You really don't want to?..... Liar....
Princess: Hoho... Your ears are red....
Ange: Ah.... Stop this!
Ange (thoughts): This... bully (something like that)....
Princess (small text): What's wrong?
Ange: Just... Just don't be like this, it's not the same as before anymore.
Ange: We must... be more care....
Princess: Maybe... it isn't really the same as before, what do you think? Charlotte (Ange)....
Ange (thoughts): Ah... She really is a bully
Looks like Beato is copping a feel here.
I wonder if Hime asks Ange to roleplay when they are having sex.
>tfw your qt Japanese gf dumps you
Gay french dude came back so maybe there's hope.
This episode could've been a reverse-trap extravaganza. Delinquent Ange is only a moderate compensation.
I might have overlooked the flashbacks if it wasn't for the fact that he was still shown to be a piece of shit by acting up at work and didn't care about the fact that he could have done unrecoverable damage to Beatrice for all he knew just because he wanted to screw around.
/u/ just jelly 'cause Beato has two girlfriends.
The main pair has to play pretend so you don't see much on screen yuri action but still they bother to throw one or two hints every episode.
Nah, I hated the first episode and liked the rest.
The characters are the main reason for watching this and they have no development or even personality in the first episode. It was just about the boring case.
Second onwards are all good, though.
>when they play the piano version of the ED together
I didn't expect this show to become my AOTS.
So, on the upside we have a wonderful episode dedicated to Hime and Ange, while on the downside it's confirmed Hime just wants to unite the country and no explicit yuri will occur. Kinda sad, but I guess I'll take what I can get.
Hime wants to unite the country AND be together with Ange, that was her plan all along.
Not gonna lie, I was hoping for things to be a little overtly gayer with all the build up, but >>2413209 and >>2413123 were pretty nice moments. There's also pic related even though I'm not sure if she was writing a letter to Ange here.
Are there any english resources or communities for the mobage? Decided to check it out and it seems kind of neat. It's a weird turn based tactical bejeweled thing. Works with Nox.
They give you a 5* of one of the five main characters of your choosing to start with, with 6* being the highest rarity, so that's cool. Though I picked Chise and somehow got an additional different 5* of her for free, and then rolled a 6* of her with the free 10+1 starter roll. Not sure if I should be happy I got my favorite character multiple times or sad I got none of the other mains.
Looks like 106 cards exist at the moment, and the 40ish I have seen so far are all female. Though the protag is choosable gender I think. Not sure how gay it is or isn't. Art and character design seems mostly consistent, good, and cute.
Yeah, well it was obvious that Hime wouldn't cut all ties with Ange after her plan succeeds, but the show played up their relationship so much I thought this would be THE show to overcome the subtext-maintext wall. I forgot that it's Japan we are talking about, no fun allowed.
That was a surprising twist this episode. You get the feeling that that is going to be the reveal earlier in the episode, but if still left open when, how long, and woukd it continue, etc. There does seem to be some dark foreshadowing, but hopefully that will not come to pass.
This isn't the kind of series to look for explicit yuri but one that throws enough hints like>>2413123 to suggest they are in love, like izetta or flipflappers. Plus there's also material from a magazine that says they have a love affair. With that in mind I'm enjoying the ride, specially this ep, you can tell how Ange's feelings have escalated since they were kids and Beato was a little jelly.
Glad they aren't sisters, not really a fan of wincest besides some mochi stuff.
>Glad they aren't sisters
That twist could be coming up. Given that they look so alike (as kids looking identical) there could be a lost twin story, infidelity story (of a perrent), or maybe even a clone story coming.
It's a prince and the pauper situation. Two halves of a whole.
>two girls look the same
I mean, it would be the dumbest plot twist ever. Everyone probably already thinks that's the case, so there would be no reason to hide it.
My money is still on the royal family switching them when they were infants for some reason, which could lead to all sorts of shenanigans later down the line.
>You are not the real princess, we switched her with a poor person's daughter!
>Yeah, but you didn't know we switched when we were a little older!
Also the radio show confirmed Charlotte's parents are dead. If they're related it would involve clones or reptilians.
I'm just glad that the token titty monster is getting some /u/ love. I figured she would just be consigned to the het rape heap.
I didn't even know he had a name. It's Julius Pringles, apparently. Lesbian anime has learned me something.
Prirpri fanart's mostly yuri and solos. It came to save this season.
>Ange with Dorothy
Hot, I can see it to release tension during a mission.
Episode 8 Spoiler
So Ange is actually Charlotte and Charlotte is actually Ange. They switched places right before the revolution and were separated, then Ange had to learn how to be royalty to survive while Charlotte became a spy, I guess to get across the wall. I honestly did not see that twist coming.
I would kind of like to see a flashback of how Charlotte became a spy
How the fuck did you not notice it, please tell me you are kidding
The director just posted this. Look at Ange.
>Charlotte has Ange dress as Princess and Beato to mimic Ange's voice
Voyeur Princess really should be a bigger thing
Dorothy invited beato to see her wounds. Maybe she has a thing for small moeblobs.
It's a delicious gap. College-age girls that go for young teenagers are the best.
Yo girls. I'm looking to pick up this series. I thought from the name it was some cutesy thing but the summary about it being about split-nations and spies has really got me interested. What's the recommendation on subs? Looking on Nyaa I can see that Horrible Subs is doing it but I know that those subs can range from okay to awful so I was wondering how they are with this series.
Sorry if this question has been asked in this thread already but to be honest I'm not willing to look through it in case I get spoiled, this seems like a show that I want to watch blind.
Crunchysubs are fine for this show, there's nothing overly strange or awkward.
I watched the first ep. I just want to say this is scratching an itch I didn't know I had, it's far better than I expected it to be. Cute steampunk spies in a Cold War Berlin setting without hiding the negative side of things, like murder, is a wonderful thing to watch. The OP/ED songs are good too, it's not often I want to actually watch them since I don't like most OP/ED songs.
I won't post about every episode, don't want to be obnoxious. I'll see /u/ at the end.
I just finished catching up. I'm liking it a lot and I am definitely seeing the subtext potential between the girls so I can understand why it's here on /u/. I like the music too, thanks to Yuki Kajiura I keep getting nostalgic heart-boners for the Bee-Train trilogy which is always a plus for me.
I have to say I'm almost surprised with how light-hearted the last couple of episodes were but I suppose if there was conflict in every episode it would get stale for people.
But I still want to see Dorothy find out about her father.
I assume this is still airing, right? What day does it normally come out?
Not much yuri this time besides Princess teasing Ange as usual and a girl named Lily but funniest episode so far.
That didn't feel much like teasing. Judging by Ange's reaction that was something she said to Princess in a previous conversation between the two of them, and Princess indirectly telling Ange how much those words hurt her.
Oh god, these are the fucking things you have to collect in the current mobage event. There are 9 varieties and you have to collect 30 of each to progress to the next level. And I think you only get up to 3 per mission.
I've tried, but I can't make out any phrases from that in either of their songs. If your listening game is better than mine, you could watch out for things like "doki doki", "kira kira", "kuro tokage" or "burning".
BTW, what does everyone think about charasongs? I like Ange's the best, it's funky and has a really unique song structure. And the lyrics are about how she doesn't want to be separated from Princess or something.
