Emulators are all dead for this game.
It doesn't run on rooted phones either. A bunch of chink phones are out too.
You can make an american google play account (or apple account), use qooapp or use USB to install an apk from your pc, but you need to turn off usb stuff later to run the game at all

Realistically speaking, not much. The male protag is always going to be the safer choice marketing wise, even in cases where the fem mc is more popular in the established fanbase, as the anime is supposed to be advertisement to garner new fans and not primarily to satisfy the existing fans. As such a male MC can reach a broader area of their targeted demographics, young males with disposable incomes and gambling addiction.

For FGO you might get lucky if they ever decide to animate the gag manga as a fan treat like they did with Carnival Phantasm though.

I'm just happy how much gay side material FGO has provided. Like how both protags are legit gay in manga de wakaru. And the game trailers certainly give off a similar vibe. I just started playing Grand Order (about to fight Jeanne Alter actually), any tips on who to level up? I got Hercules and Chevalier D'eon from the prologue summoning. Also a 3 star Cu Chulainn Lancer.

I'm guessing for summoning it's best to gather 30 quartz. Should I wait for special summon times if there are any? Like SIF?

There are rate-up campaigns in which if you get a servant they're more likely to be specific ones, and special campaigns in which you can get limited servants. I'd suggest finding lists of events and servants in the Japanese version to see if there's anything you want to save for.

So you will usually roll special gachas. Make a list of desired servants like the anon said.

The first two are great, Deon is ok when you don't have better sabers.

Carmilla is the older form of Elizabeth Bathory "contaminated" with the legend of the lesbian vampire countess, and she's more complex than I expected from Miss BDSM Stereotype's appearance. I don't think there are any gudako specific lines (as opposed to gudao) but Servants are almost always mastersexual so don't worry you'll get plenty of gay.

she talks a very edgy game, going on about how she wants to soil the grail in blood and how she expects you to be disgusted with her for liking the blood of young girls, and she has a huge complex over her youth: the rebelliousness and innocence of Elizabeth are things she hates, but she uses girls to make herself younger.

Anyways, her dislike is herself. She despises herself for what she did to all the girls she did (in), but as Nobility she feels like she can't regret any of her actions. In her interlude, you wake up with mashy and Carmilla in her torture palace and you have to escape. Carmilla herself doesn't want to look for an exit, but she doesn't want to be alone either so she goes with you. The ghost of a girl she murdered attacks her and reveals she's pretty much completely consumed by her guilt, but she fights through for (you) because she's not alone when (you)'re with her. When you fight your way out of the maze she expresses admiration that you could escape her inner hell but says that there's no escape for her, and that this is a "world of her own imagining" in your dream (a Reality Marble?). She says she can never leave because she can't reject her life/her fate - she feels like running endlessly through the corridors full of ghosts and deadly traps is what she deserves, but says that she has to help you, and that if she'd met someone like you she could be close to when she was a girl she might have turned out differently.

anyways I like her a lot, almost as much as Medea. (yes I have a Type) I mean stories about gay angst and self-hatred are a dime a dozen these days but something about hers really resonates with me. or maybe its just that she looks damn cute when she takes that mask off.

One problem I've been having is there doesn't seem to be any reliable way to get ascension mats besides events.

The mat drop dailies are all luck, and seem more likely to drop a skill gem or sometimes a monument than an ascension mat. Looked it up and it seems the drop rates are really bad

There is no lore reason. Takeuchi just likes drawing Saber and there's a lot of jokes that also spurred it on. Like when FS/N first came out everyone thought Arturia was supposed to be Jeanne, and they never guessed she would be King Arthur. So making Jeanne look like Arturia is sort of a play on initial fan perception. Mordred was sired by Arturia, so she's kind of her kid, resemblances couldn't be helped there, especially since Arturia's sister is the mother and I'm pretty sure her sister also looks like her, because you know, family. Plus, the character is popular, so I'm sure that affected some of their decisions too.

Yeah. I even ran out of fuel once grinding for a girl during an event. I cashed in all my valentines presents and medals for more fuel, while furiously sending out expeditions. In the end, the event ended before she dropped, and I can't even remember what girl I was trying to get. I remember watching the timer tick down to the end of the event, knowing that I wouldn't regen enough fuel in time for another sortie and just feeling intense despair. With the right comps, some events are pretty mechanical but getting sent home by nuclear subs is always a pain in the ass. Honestly, FGO won't make you happy at all if you can't even stomach the Kancolle rng. The gacha rates are abysmal and limited servants actually feel limited and it's not just needing autism for repeatedly bashing your head against the rng wall but actual money too. You can dump hundreds of dollars into the gatcha and still not get what you want.
If you get easily bored with these games I would really not recommend it if you don't have a ton of disposable income.

Actually, I don't play FGO anymore too. Rolled my favorite servants and lost the motivation. The events are fun and the plot is interesting but you should put too much effort into it. I think that Christmas event burned me out. I also managed to roll Merlin so I guess I kind of won the game already. I don't really care about servants they keep introducing.

You can't use them for 10 pulls, so use them whenever you want. It is still worth saving them for events if you desperately want somebody and don't want to whale, I guess, but I just use them when I feel like it. Going for a long time without anything new sucks.

What do you want from it? Not much romance going on but the three main characters are all girls who are gay for each other in some way. It has loads of lewd yuri starting with the second season and occasional cool fight scenes. But being the Fate universe, everyone is bi, including at least two of the main girls which results in them wanting to fuck Shirou.

At the very least while the girls spend a decent amount of time doing things like rubbing on each other while naked in a spa and making out, I don't recall anything lewd happening between a boy and a girl, though I also have been behind since shortly after the third season started airing.

Illya and Kuro have a crush on Shirou but it's played as a joke and the show doesn't take it seriously. Fluffy Shirou in Prisma is pretty irrelevant so you won't see him very often. Thankfully, outside of the het jokes Illya and Kuro don't care about Shirou at all.
Miyu is 100% gay. Don't listen to the incestfags with hetgoggles. Moreover, the show takes her feelings for Illya very seriously. It's an integral part of Miyu's character and the plot.
Anyway, the lolis are much more gay than Rin/Luvia/Saber/Iri/whatever /u/ seems to like.

Yay! For some reason when I entered the FGO page on Google Play again (out of grief I guess), instead of some message of incompatibility, there was just a message saying it wasn't available in my country, and so, I was able to download it~
