This thread is for:
*Screenshots, pages, and discussion about general series, current or old, not covered by an existing thread, be it yuri, fanservice, subtext or goggles. Canon and non-canon both welcome.
*News reports about things relevant to our interest
*Original content that doesn't fit any specific thread topics
*Pretty much anything that doesn't have or need its own thread.
The last thread is still plenty viable. Does homosexuality go hand in hand with autism now?
>>2375902
autism has always been a part of 4chan
I didn't find any specific threads so I want to share some things here.
First, I found a nice Thai (?) comic called "The Mistress Story"
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/the_mistress_story
It is about a businesswoman who hires a random young girl as girlfriend for reasons. But then they fall in love with each other. A fun read. I enjoyed it so I want to recommend it. Unfortunately translation is many chapters behind.
Then there is a western comic I stumbled across named "Welcome to the Machine". I am not sure if you like those but again I thought it was a fun read. Unfortunately not even 3 full chapters are out and updates are very slow.
http://themachinelives.com/comic/welcome-to-the-machine/ (click next below image for next page)
A school girl one day wakes up in a cell. She is accused of mass murder but claims to be innocent. Quickly she finds out that the futuristic women only 'school' prison, in spite of supposedly being for rehabilitisation of highly dangerous criminals, has very strict guards and a lot of internal turmoil going on.
Kind of 'shonen-y' but if you like fun you will like this.
Also, if any of you can decipher moonrunes, could you please take a look at this? An official preview / first chapter of Akane no Hane.
http://hibana.tameshiyo.me/AKA00AHIBANA
Source: http://hi-bana.com/works030.html
I just stumbled across it and the premise looked interesting. I don't know if it is yuri but I think there is a good chance for it (author seems to like age gap and has done more het than yuri before but I want to stay optimistic). Couldn't find any translations, not even raws.
What do you guys think?
>>2375902
Nobody on this board is homosexual, there's no reason gay men would like yuri.
Action Heroine Cheer Fruits is off to a pretty good start. Nice subtext, neat animation, pleasant vibes and no notable males. A pleasant surprise.

>some 300 sketchy demon sisters pics, almost entirely cute yuri stuff
Holy fug, this is insane
Sorry for this shameless self-ad but me and my team are working on a yuri illustrated fiction and we would love to hear your criticism
The illustrations are still ongoing but the story is already done and we could use some early viewers before we try to publish it.
It's just some 30k words divided into 3 chapters
Or maybe I should just post this self-ad again after we are done
>>2376532
Since /u/ stuff is always encouraged I make an effort to read through one chapter. I'm ESL so I can't say I'm reliable when it comes to analyzing English fiction, but below is my opinion still.
And boy did the prologue repel me. I know you want to convey the grim atmosphere of the war and the desperation of human, but the big words and metaphors you use make it sounds like an attempt for an edgy war story in a creative writing class. Chap 1 is also guilty of this, although to a lesser degree. I think this is the only complaint I have about the writing.
The plot and major conflict are certainly engaging even if I'm usually not very interested in this genre. Still, the narrator, or her relationship with the other girl doesn't leave much of an impression on me, and their final scene was very weak. I will come back to read the rest when I have time, but I hope you can at least write more about her.
>>2376569
chapter 1 was for world building, and unfortunately, I agree.
I hope you can give me a second chance on the next chapter
>>2376588
Haven't been here in 2 months. I just searched for the regular generals.
But thanks.
>>2376583
At least attempt to rewrite the prologue. It was truly horrible and will drive away a lot of readers.
>>2376583
Glancing through it, you're breaking the number one cardinal rule: Show not tell. There's a lot of words and I can't really picture it because the concepts are too vague. I can't get emotionally invested in it.
There are some details here and there but it's almost at random what you choose to describe and what you leave at an abstract state.
I respect that you're making the effort but you should focus on fleshing out the story you want to tell and not bother with the fancy wordsmithing. Ideally, a reader should be able to picture it like a movie running in their head, and you're just not there yet.
>>2376173

Otome games can have female love interests. It isn't super rare.
>>2376673
Some simply like different types of romance and some are under the (incorrect) impression that yuri is only for straight men and they don't like that. That said, some obviously claim that they are gay so that they can claim the social justice high ground when gay men try to tell them that they find the fujoshi monopoly on fictional gay boys to be somewhat creepy.

So I got fucked up by some idiot working in a mobile phone company today. Me and my mom were purchasing a temporary data plan for my phone for the few weeks I'm staying in this place, and this fucking guy working there, in order to check if my phone can connect to wifi, opened up my safari app and decided to open an EXISTING tab just to see if my phone connects to the internet. There were a couple more tabs which I was perfectly fine to show, but he specifically chose this particular tab which had ADULT yuri doujin in it. He did it while my mom was watching it in silence the whole time like she couldn't believe what was slowly being loaded on the screen. It was the cover art of a nice adult yuri doujin (which btw looked very cute and fluffy with two girls hugging) AND he typed in some address for some stupid fucking website as if he STILL couldn't tell if the internet was working. God damn fucking idiot.
This makes me a bit angry and he looked like a smug guy. Anyway, did anything like this happen to anyone else on /u/? Like an event where people discover that you love yuri?

I often help people with computer issues where I live. A guy wanted to send an important email from his laptop which was running win7. I knew that it would take me hours to remove all the viruses and porn from his machine to get it running again. He really needed to send this email. Without thinking I invited him back to my apartment to use my computer to send the email. He logs in to his account and shows me what he needs to do. He has to download a company order from as a docx and correct it, before sending it back. I download the document into my downloads folder without thinking anything of it. I open Libreoffice and go to my downloads folder. To my horror, I suddenly remember that my downloads folder is full of explicit yuri and other assorted shit I had downloaded from 4chan. I was using large thumbnails and he could see everything. I kept a straight face and continued on. After the email was sent and his computer was running again, I gave him the lecture that I always give people who come to me with a slow windows install. I tell them the danger of browsing shady porn sites and recommend that of they want to continue using these sites, they should let me install Kubuntu.

I put all my degenerate shit on Firefox and all normie shit on Chrome, while making all immediately visible shortcuts towards Chrome only. That way, everytime somebody wants to check something out on my PC, they'll always open Chrome and get a few tabs with Facebook or mail, instead of the twenty or so /u/ tabs I usually keep open. Naturally, I take care to always close Firefox whevener I'm taking my PC out.
So there is some merit in using both popular browsers.

Hello /u/, Summer is here, and the Summer cup is almost upon us. We traditionally do a roster poll to refresh the team roster before a cup, however, given that there were 3 polls within the last year (with the high turnover that resulted) and the fact that the last anime season was pretty dry, we decided to let the roster breathe for on season.
That said with the return of Symphogear, there have been calls to bring Miku back in the team, so instead of an actual poll we'll simply ask if we should bring back Miku/Black Sunshine into the team, in which case Intertwined Fingers would be removed. Why Intertwined Fingers? Because since Low Impact Consensual Cuddling got in the team, Intertwined Fingers became rather redundant and her model really pales next to LICC's. As there will be no other polls we'll let this one run a few days.
The draw will happen on the 23rd and the cup will kick off a week after.
Here's the link for the poll, our wiki page and Discord server:

Considering I'm a professional graphic designer, I know what I am talking about. If screen shots do not reflect what you are actually seeing, you are fucking up you're colour management on a system wide level. There's a simple program in windows that enables you to calibrate your monitor, such programs also exist on Linux and OS X. These programs will create an ICC file that is unique to your monitor and can then be used to create uniform colour accuracy across all programs.
It appears LiarxLiar is the true Yuri OTP.

I legitimately like it. It could easily just be this dark and edgy grindhouse series with its sex and gore but the humor and Kuroko's character sell it.
>>2380450
It's better writing than most action manga/anime/movies. Not recommended to read for the yuri, though. As you said, it has almost no romance at all. Before you say anything, I started it thinking it would be shit, as most edgy shit are, but it's surprisingly well built. Like the few decent comics the Vertigo label had.
>>2380460
I never watched Naruto nor any other action animes other than Symphogear and FliFla.

I'm an idiot and read flaky for some reason (might have to do with being 3 am). English isn't my native language anyway, but I'm still an idiot. I-I thought my thumb was normal until now.
>>2380818
Please don't come back.
>>2380818
Listen up! Put your goggles on and ejoy the shit out of some yuri. Genders of fans shouldnt matter. Are we not all fans in some kinda way.
Oreintation shouldnt matter either if your enjoying the manga.
>>2380846
I'm a little happier now, thanks.
>>2380851
I personally thought it was better than the first one that came out. The art is gorgeous, visually I personally approve all artists. Story wise, well, it's shorts, so it's not easy to make a proper review on it, especially given my lack of knowledge of the language.
>Furai
Classmate love. Kiss while taking glasses off. Cute.
>Nakatani Nio
Could almost pass as subtext, I didn't like it very much. About two girls who admired the same idol, if I'm not wrong. Didn't have any intimate scene, no closeness.
>Kanno
Is she getting better and better with her drawings? I felt like a kid being given candy reading her stuff. And I like kisses, so hey, I enjoyed it.
>Tamamusi
Well, I like this weirdo a lot. Some cashier worker suddenly has this woman she paid service to in her bed, and then it ends up with them naked. I don't really know what happened, just that they're naked. Nipples!
>Itou Hachi
"wtf I'm a pedophile now"
>Amano Shuninta
Some girly acting girl has to kiss shy cute girl in some filming scenario and then there's 2 whole pages dedicated to them preparing for the kiss and it's sort of great. Lots of facial expressions.
>Ejima Eri
I couldn't care much about anything that was happening, but as far as it went like, girl is annoyed at other girl classmate for whatever reason and then kisses happen. I like her stuff, but I think I am gradually losing interest in them.
I'm sorry it's not even a review, and I missed out on many authors. It's late and I'm going to sleep. Just know that buying yuri is always a good thing you can do if you're able to afford it.
>>2328499
Are there any recent pairings where both girls are small or flat chested? Games, anime, manga, or anything as long as it's not western. I know about that maid dragon shit and I'm not interested in it.

Happy Birthday Musubi (and Yoshiko).
Because Honor Student Stuco Presidents (and probably rich) are allowed to have two GFs.
>>2380903
As expected there's nothing as usual. Just wanted to check in case of the rare opportunity of someone suggesting something that I may have passed over.
I'll answer my own post with something that loli yuri fans should check out though. Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desu kara. The main negative is that while there is two seasons, episodes are only a few minutes long. If this actually got a third season with longer episodes then we'd be in business. I bought both BDs so I really hope it does.
This is really the kind of shit I want but it's extremely uncommon.

Is there a Kobayashi's Maid Dragon Thread here?
>>2381018
Doesn't look like it after a quick catalog search. If new material came out there's nothing to prevent another thread being made
Happy HasuMedo day, /u/!
The shitposting has gone so far that I bet like half the ''''SHiN''' posts aren't even SHiN because he usually trips. Good job guys.
>>2380921
I do agree it ended up on a retarded note, but the whole trip was pleasant. Don't be mean.
>>2381073
What are you talking about?
>>2381136
Why isn't this on by default?
If you want people to know who you are you'd start a blog
Anyone here read Swap Swap?
>>2381235
A lot of people probably, but yeah, I read it.
>>2380818

>>2381276

Anon, if the show became yuri, I'll be actually happy.
>>2381235
It's good, isn't it.
>>2379863
our roster is fine anyway + best looking team of the cup
good luck for the preparations guys
>>2380450
The characters are charming, the character design is eye-catching and fun, the plot is seriius, but with some levity to it and there's incidental explicit lesbianism.
It is almost everything I want in yuri and I cannot put myself in the mind of the people who feverishly dislike it.
>>2381289
I want that. Or a clock where every time the minute and hour hand meet they kiss and then continue on with swapped eyes, ad infinitum.
>>2381289
I bought the tanks.
I wish it would get an anime. I think it's "subtext" enough for that. And it's actually fun.
Never gonna happen, though.
>>2381331
We don't need another "Sakura Trick" anime.
>>2381334
Sakura Trick is unapologetically yuri tho
>>2381334
Sakura Trick is not fun and the characters are boring, though. This one is better.
It's better than most things they're adapting from MTK, anyway, so why not?
>>2381331
I have the kindle versions.
>>2381334
Yes we need.
>>2381338
My only complain would be Yume turns out to be a bigger glutton than Haruko
Both Swap Swap and Sakura Trick are damn awful, not even the art is worth it.
>>2381350
Well, list your favorite ongoing yuri manga.
>>2381367

>>2381367
You may as well have just said Octave, but instead came off twice as pretentious.
>>2381367
>talks shit about some
>doesn't want his shows shit talked
So why are you posting? To tell us you don't like SoLs? 10/10 blog.
Oh boy, is time for traditional Octave bitching?
>>2381378
Not much of a tradition when newfags memed it into existence
>>2381367
No one asked you about your opinions. Just list your favorite ongoing yuri manga.
>>2381350
I respect your opinion, even though there was no reason to give it, since no one asked.
But it seems like it's important for you to express yourself even though you know people won't appreciate it, but that's okay. You have all right to do so.
>>2381380
I never said I liked it, but that's the first thing that comes to mind when a yuri snob thinks their series is superior to everything else.
I honestly don't even think they have an example and just want to shit talk SoL
>>2381367
>So you can trash talk it just because my opinion differs from yours
Grow some thicker skin. Describing what your favourite series is like and intentionally being vague about it makes you come across as a faggot.
>>2381393
Stop talking about yourself and post the manga.
>>2381367
To be different from everyone else, I don't have to know your favorites since your posts have revealed your shit taste already desu sempai.
>>2381423
Thank you, kouhai.
>>2381422
You're the unpleasant one
>>2381422
Either you don't even have any examples and are just shitposting or you're so sure your favorite manga will be universally hated, which speaks more about how little you think of it yourself
>>2381470
Octave got dislike, not the hate people are actually painting it as. Fine little line, and one you don't realize since you think it's a bait manga. However, I'll agree that it wasn't really talked about since there was nothing too talk about.
>>2381470
Octave isn't a yuri manga, though. It's a drama manga with a lesbian character.
It was never meant to be yuri. I would never recommend it to yuri fans.
I believe any yuri fan who thinks Octave is a bad manga is simply emotionally undeveloped.
>>2381486

I seriously do not mean to stir up trouble, but I have a serious question.
I'm making a cyoa for /tg/ all about yuri, and I've been asked multiple times to include reference to oviposition, since it's most definitely a female-only activity, but if a very-much-completely-female insectoid monstergirl (like pic related) uses her ovipositor to have sexual relations with another girl and put eggs inside of her (don't ask me; not my fetish), is that yuri? Can it BE yuri?
I have no idea, because I'm to weirded out and can't really decide, but it is a somewhat phallic thing used to penetrate another girl, so what do?
I'm stuck, basically. I'm hoping you guys will have a solid opinion on the idea.
>>2381640
Personally I like that kind of thing but I imagine most don't since it's pretty /d/.
>>2381640
I'd say it falls under the same category as futa-on-female:
Not yuri
>>2381640
It's really iffy, and treads the /ud/ border. Would largely depend on the thing putting the eggs in the girl and how the eggs are put in. The latter is a huge blurry area and up to personal taste. The less like a dick the ovipositor is treated, the closer it'd be to yuri imo. That's just me, others might say differently but it's definitely in a gray area.
>>2381643
this pretty much.
>>2381640
Yeah I'm not keen on the whole "ovipositor" part. Could an egg just be kinda... tribbed in? lol
>>2381643
>>2381659
yeah, I'm going to err on the side of caution and just not bother with it. There's already a magical way for lesbians to get preggers if they want in my setting (it's a wedding ring enchantment that lets you get your wife pregnant if you both verbally consent, have sex, and cuddle for a certain length of time afterwards).
>>2381661
No. I will not include anything with dicks at all in it I'm not stupid. There are a few bisluts and stuff indirectly not-yuri for the purposes of anyone who's into converting bisluts into dedicated dykes, but really I feel that all my decisions are understandable by most of /u/ and, certainly, there's nothing that /u/'s divided on (like turning boys into girls permanently so that they can join in, too) that you're required to have in your build. I made sure of that.I could show you my design document if you want, if you promise to be nice and constructive.
>>2381667
If you're confident in it, then you don't need to show it. I'll wait til its done.
>>2381668
oh, yeah, but I don't brows /u/ often, so I have no idea where would be an appropriate place to post it, and I'd feel weird doing it without precedent. That said, I know /u/ doesn't have tons of /tg/ crossposters, so I want to get it to the people here in some way, which is a situation I don't like being in.
>Decide to read Octave after hearing really mixed opinions on it, either being one of the best, or one of the word yuri mangas.
>Prot is the most angsty and edgy yuri prot in existence, putting Fumi from Aoi Hana to shame.
WTF am I reading.
Today's yuri releases.

>>2381687
The flipside of /u/ complaining about everything is that even when something is actually shit, people will just meme it away by yelling purityfags even when that is not factor.
>>2381692
Nice anecdote.
>>2381692
Anyone who unironically calls people "purityfags" can be safely ignored when it comes to anything.

How?
Speaking of Idols
Im@s SS, Tsukipro, LLSS, CG Theater Stage, Aikatsu Stars, Idol Time PriPara and Love Kome will all be airing in October. WUG S2 could also be airing.
This will be the First Time, the Main Shows of the Big 3 will air in the same season. If WUG shows up, it will be all 3 of Bamco's Big 3 facing off against both of the Tatsunoko Duo.
This will be the Final Idol War.
>>2381873
>Im@s SS, Tsukipro, LLSS, CG Theater Stage, Aikatsu Stars, Idol Time PriPara and Love Kome
Will any of that, aside of possible LLSS which we know has yuri teasing, be yuri subtext related?
>>2381873
Reminder that T7S will NEVER have an anime.
Please watch Locodol season 2.
>>2382062
>>2382062
3 yuri shows the same day? I just watched Princess and Centaur.
>>2382062

>doesn't know what yuri is
>>2382148

I haven't really seen much of anything in Princess but Centaur is the most yuri series by far this season.
>>2382188
Was it the one with the actual kiss? I haven't picked up anything "yuri" so far. And no, New Game isn't "yuri".
>>2382189
literally the first thing on screen at the beginning of episode 1
>>2382112
Has Yukari told Nanako that she loves her yet?
>>2382683
No, you fuck off, I'm tired of retards like you that need a kiss to call something yuri. There are multiple ways of characters to be lesbians.
Any discussion about what works are yuri and what aren't is inherently flawed as it's built upon the erroneous conception that "yuri" is a clearly defined concept.
>>2382740
You're fucking retarded and you keep insisting subtext is yuri or anything with two females saying "hi" to each other is yuri. You're the unneeded cancer here. And no, Sailor Moon is not "yuri" either just because Haruka and the other chick are lesbians - a fucking SIDE couple.
And in case you didn't get it the first time, fuck off retard.
>>2383185
You do know you're the minority here, right?
>>2383185
>or anything with two females saying "hi" to each other is yuri.
Nobody ever said any of these are yuri, none of the shows talked above are this case at all.
>and you keep insisting subtext
When the "subtext" gets too blatant and explicit it stops being "subtext" and it becomes "text", that's what's yuri and that's the case with the shows posted above.
>>2383185
you are the same retard of that other thread that just wants yous. have my you and fuck off. you don't know a shit about yuri and seems you can't understand how yuri works. if you can't enjoy it you can fuck off and find something else. the beauty of yuri is also the subtlety nature ot it.
